The workers were on time, hard working and very nice. Unfortunately I had one tv broken, king bed railing with significant crack, office desk legs destroyed, new home floor nicked and scratched and a few walls sustain drywall damage. Read the contract closely as the restitution for damage was $.60 per lb. The estimated weight used by Brothers for my damaged items netted me a check for the damages less than $200. For me I had to buy a new TV ($400), Office Desk ($800) and pay a handyman ($300) to fix the drywall and floor damage in my home. So the contact covered $200 of the $1,500 in expenses created by their service.

Terribly unprofessional, unrealizable and horrific experience. Jennifer was the bearer of bad news with no solution. We were told Chris would call and he NEVER did. The NIGHT BEFORE (4:54 PM) our scheduled 8am move, Jennifer called and unapologetically cancelled on us stating there weren’t any availabile movers. We were screwed, especially because it was too late for us to find anything else. And, we had booked then over one month in advance. My wife and I both took off work and had to be out of our apartment the exact day that we had to move out. When you move timing is everything. Jennifer said Chris would call back in 5 minutes and we heard nothing. I called Jennifer back an hour later. She said her manager, Chris, would call me in 30 minutes. NOTHING again. They completely left us hanging and messed up our move top to bottom. Their motto is that they are the most reliable moving company in Milwaukee. What a joke! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you have to truly move on the day scheduled. And, NEVER book a company that does not take a down deposit, because they are not invested. I RECOMMEND Two Men and a Truck. Even if they are running behind, they Always show up. Unprofessional, unreliable, unhelpful, disrespectful and dishonest.

Brothers Relocation is by far the worst service I have ever received from a company. This is the 5th time I moved and I thought I would use a local company but that was a big mistake. They never wrapped the furniture. The furniture dolly had deflated tires, which in turn put a large scratch in my hard wood floor. They struggled to move our dressers to the second floor and made numerous holes in the drywall because they lacked the proper tools/strength for the move. They tore my couch and broke a drawer in the couch. My husband had to help them move several items because the two movers were incapable. After I brought all these issues to my movers, the movers tried to get me to sign a form to record the damages for the main office but as I read the form it was to relieve them of any responsibilities for their damages, I did not sign the form! They never responded to my phone calls, or emails to resolve these issues so I am resorting to informing the public of their unprofessional business practices. If my credit card company cannot get them to respond, I will be filing a claim in small claims court for the money I had to pay out to repair the damages they caused. On a positive note, they did show up on time. Please go somewhere else for your relocation needs, they are very unprofessional and cause more in damages than the moving service is worth.

Hello Mr. [Member Name Removed], we apologize that you had such a bad experience with Brothers Moving & Storage. We would like to start by stating that a claim form was mailed out to the customer as soon as we were aware of the damages. This claim form was never received in our office to process the claim. The customer proceeded to try and reverse all charges from the move, and his credit card company agreed that the claims process needs to be followed. To this date, we have not received the claim form from the customer. Brothers Moving & Storage needs to follow procedures for claims and once the form is received we will contact the customer to go over the damages. Once again, we apologize for the bad experience.

The truck provided for my move was too small to properly accommodate my belongings. Items that should have been wrapped or protected with moving blankets were left unprotected. Consequently, several items were damaged. I have submitted a claim for those damages and have been told on several different occasions to expect a check to cover them. I have not received the promised compensation. It has been more than six months since the move! Do not hire Brothers Moving and Storage.

Why does one hire a moving company? Well, either you don’t have any friends to help you or you don’t want to burden your friends with the task of moving your stuff. I chose to give my friends the day off. We hired Brothers Moving and Storage based off of the recommendation of a family friend. They are a local company so why not swing the business in their direction? I asked if I should shrink wrap my furniture and was told that I should not. Shrink wrapping wood furniture can trap moisture and potentially cause damage. Okay, solid point. We don’t live in the Caribbean and the move occurred in relatively low-humidity November, but I complied. After all, this was their specialty. I had already wrapped two small tables but left the rest of our furniture unwrapped. Having worked for the now defunct American TV, I knew that we used to wrap open box furniture in foam. The thought crossed my mind to protect our stuff in this way, but I was very caught up in the reno of our new house, so I eventually ran out of time. Mistake #1. Brothers was very responsive to my initial inquiry, the estimated cost for the move and helped me to secure the date to move. The truck showed up on time and the crew introduced themselves. I told the three-member crew that I would be their fourth. I’d work right along side them to help make the job go more quickly. The guys were very friendly, and my wife and I worked to shrink wrap and bag up some of our furniture. The crew said that we didn’t have to, but it might help protect our furniture. Wait, I thought shrink wrap would essentially melt wood furniture? So instead of having everything wrapped up prior to move in day, we scrambled to wrap as much as we could without slowing down the move out process too much. At least they had furniture blankets to protect our stuff once it was loaded into the truck. Right? The rest of the move out seemingly went off without a hitch. Nothing was broken. No walls damaged. Maybe moving day isn’t as stressful as everyone says. The crew departed for the new house which is quite literally three minutes away. As I pulled out of the driveway with a trailer of our stuff, I noticed the small puddle of oil that had leaked from the moving truck. Not a huge deal, but as I would come to find out, it was a sign of things to come. The crew met me at the new house and we began to unload the truck. I had previously laid out paper floor protection on the wood flooring and adhesive plastic on the carpeting. “Please try and stay on the floor protection” I said, “Everything is brand new”. The lead crew member immediately relayed this message to the rest of the crew and promptly stepped right on the unprotected carpeting. Again, not a big deal, you can’t move in without stepping on carpet a little bit. It was just funny that he did so AS he was telling the other guys not to. Hindsight being 20/20, I should paid less attention to the new flooring and more attention to freshly painted walls and woodwork. While one can expect a minor ding or nick as every single one of your possessions are moved into a new home, I couldn’t prepare myself for what I would be left with when the move was completed. As anyone who has moved knows, it’s hard to keep track of how your stuff is being moved into your new home. Whether it’s a group of friends helping out or “professionals”, it’s impossible to watch over every trip into the house. As the move in progressed, I witnessed a few walls and woodwork getting dinged. Once again, some of this can be expected, but in general it can be avoided with an ounce or two of care. The largest damage occurred while the crew was bringing a large dresser up the stairs. One of the crew dropped an end and the dresser dented the wall. The dresser itself was also scuffed. Although the crew immediately apologized, I couldn’t help but wonder if wrapping my furniture would have prevented this damage. There were several other times that I just so happened to witness a piece of our furniture banging into a wall or woodwork: sofa scuffing the wall, weight bench into the basement door trim, etc. All relatively minor stuff, but the little things tend to add up. At this point, I assumed that other than the dresser, all of our furniture had survived the move. I signed final copy of the move document and the movers were on their way. I even tipped the guys. As I said earlier, they worked hard and were friendly, but as I would come to find out later, damaged our stuff. Mistake #2. As we began the unpacking process, we began to notice dings, scratches or scuffs in nearly EVERY SINGLE wooden piece of furniture. This damage likely occurred as the “team leader” stacked our stuff inside the truck. Remember how I had hoped that they would use moving blankets? Turns out, in this guy’s game of moving truck Tetris, he failed to use moving blankets or any sort of padding. As we continued to unpack, we continued to find dings in the woodwork and in our stuff. We take extremely good care of our things because we don’t have a ton of money and save up to buy the very best that we can afford. So, you can imagine our anger when we noticed so much damage. I contacted the Brother’s office to express my frustration and was told that I would receive a damage claim form in the mail. When this never arrived, I requested that they send one as an attachment to an email. As you will read later, this company not only struggles with padding furniture, but it also doesn’t quite have a handle on the postal service. I filled out the claim form and naturally had to add additional information on the back of the form as we had so much stuff damaged. I sent the claim form back to Brothers in the traditional mail. Unfortunately, I failed to make a copy of the form. Mistake #3. After a few days, I called to inquire as to whether or not they had received our claim form. They hadn’t yet, but I was able to speak with the owner of the company. I essentially explained everything that had happened on moving day. He apologized and asked if I still had any paint left over from our recent paint job. As it turns out, he was offering to come over to the house and touch up the walls and then repair the damaged furniture. On the surface, this seems like a noble way to rectify a situation that his company had caused. However, the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t think that was a viable option. For one, I can touch up the dings in our walls and woodwork. The point is that the paint job was completed only a week before the move and I shouldn’t have to do it. As for his offer to repair our furniture, what makes the owner of a moving company the best option to repair our furniture? Maybe he’s fantastic. But, maybe he failed woodshop in high school. Who knows. I did know what I wasn’t going to turn some random guy loose in my house to touch up the numerous dings in our woodwork and then attempt to repair our wooden furniture. To wrap up our moving saga, Brothers then claimed to have never received our claim form in the mail. They asked if I had sent it by certified mail. I hadn’t, but somehow the payments to several contractors had found their way through standard mail and we’re fairly certain all 75 of our Christmas cards hit their mark. They know that we’re basically stuck. The damage, while widespread and obvious to anyone able to pass an eye exam, didn’t result in the destruction of our house or furniture. They know that we really don’t have any good options to rectify this unfortunate experience…other than to have the owner of the company spend his entire Tuesday trying to fix our stuff. But I did say GOOD options. I was hoping for a positive moving experience. In high school, I was also hoping to someday play in the NBA. So far, I’m 0 for 2.

Our entire experience with Brothers Relocation Services was excellent. September, 5th 2015 I was called at 9:15 by another moving company that I had hired a month prior to the move that they would not be able to move me today. In a little shock I sat there for a few mins not sure what to do. When I explain to the other company that I needed to be out he referred me to Brothers Relocation Services. I wasn't sure if I wanted to take their recommendation, since they were just so unprofessional with our move. I checked online and saw 4.8 stars and felt comfortable giving them a call. Once I called the gentleman on the phone was professional and helpful and understood the situation I was facing. They were not able to come that day, however they were able to book me for Sunday, September 6th . We went through everything over the phone and booked them for the next day. After a few hours I called back checking on the work order and quote they were going to email me. The gentleman on the phone again was very professional and explained they would get me the information and promised they would be there. Sunday our movers got to the house and explained everything and got to work. Within an hour they had everything out of the current location ready to move to the second location. We did our walk through and nothing was missed or left to chance. Once at the new location they quickly got everything upstairs and proceeded to ask if we needed additional help with anything. Reggie and Rafael (sorry about the spelling) were amazing and appreciate all of their help, they don't know what a great hug stress relieve it was to have them at the door Sunday morning. I would definitely use Brothers Relocation Services again and would recommend them to anyone in need of movers in the area. Thank you again to everyone at Brothers Relocation Services for all of your help this past weekend.

I hired them to move heavy household furniture. They were prompt on scheduling, as originally I had hired a different company from Angie's list who scheduled me to move on a Tuesday then called me on a Friday afternoon to cancel. They were professional, hardworking, and very courteous. I would definitely hire them again and refer them to others. Thank you Brothers Relocation for keeping my move on schedule and doing a great job.

Don?t ever use Brothers Relocation, they are the worst moving company ever, mostly due to the rude owner who has awful customer service. I used them for my last move which took over 17 hours because their truck broke down on the side of the road. They brought a smaller truck to move my furniture into, which meant they had to make several trips. My family waited over 5 hours for the movers to return with my stuff so we could start unpacking. We had several people helping us unpack and we were all waiting around because we didn?t know when they would return. The movers took many many smoking breaks, which I paid for. They left behind a very large picture on my living room wall, which I had to go back for. They put together my dining room table incorrectly, even though they were the ones who disassembled it. It was so late when they left at 1 a.m. that they didn?t finish putting together some of the furniture. The owner gives you a reasonable estimate, but it more than doubled. I met with the owner personally and he did not apologize or offer a discount for the awful experience that took over 2x longer than he estimated because his truck broke down.

We at Brothers Relocation Services, LLC are very sorry for your bad experience. We can't control mechanical breakdowns as they do happen, but as you can see on your bill of lading, we did give you a 5 hour $600.00 credit on your move for this inconvenience. We try to make every move as stress free as possible, however truck breakdowns do happen and we apologize for any stress this may have caused you. I apologize that your estimate went over by 4.5 hours as we had to go back to do a 2nd trip as there were more items than was mentioned, and it would not fit in the first trip. On occasion Brothers Relocation Services has to do 2 trips in order to finish the move. Once again, we at Brothers Relocation Services, LLC are very sorry for your bad experience.

We had to move so we called them and they worked with us for moving. It was okay but wasn't that great. They were 2 guys that came in and were okay. But I wouldn't use them again. They were supposed to put loads of things on. They came with the dirty shoes so we had to clean up all the mud from the carpet. They didn't clean up the mess even though I told them to. We had to pay for the hour and they were too slow. They were on time which was the good part.

The crew of 3 laborers were very efficient and polite. They worked very quickly and carefully. They placed barriers on the floor as well as the corners of walls to protect the surfaces. They carried the majority of furniture from the basement to the storage unit. This included many very heavy pieces of furniture. They did great.
