QUALITY MINDED CONSTRUCTION

The estimate process was professional, however it is extremely hard to get a hold of them on their business line. They were on time the day they started our project. They had to tear out our existing garage floor and apron and then repour a new floor / apron. They seemed to be working extremely hard all day. When the project was complete they asked for more money because the tear out took longer than expected. That took me off guard a bit. I think I would have been more seceptable to it if they had asked during the process and could actually show me why they felt it should cost more. They were supposed to pour the concrete in our garage to where our garage door closed. They poured it about 1.5" too high. This caused our apron to have a steeper slope to it. Also, now our garage height is only 6' 10". Because of the steep apron from the added inches in the garage, the bottom of my front bumper scrapes on the way in and out of the garage if I am not going super slow. Which is a challenge, because you need to hit the gas to get the car up the steep apron. The finish was also not satisfactory. The fibers from the fibermesh are sticking up throughout the concrete. When I called about the concern they said that was normal. However, our neighbor just had concrete work done to her garage a few weeks before us and her finish does not have hairs sticking out of it and looks much better. Lastly, they left the alley a huge mess. Don't get me wrong, I understand with a concrete project there is going to be some level of dust and debris that will need to be washed away after the rain. However, this was beyond that point of acceptance. Even our neighbors complained about the mess as it was on their concrete as well. We spent about 4 hours hosing down the alley trying to clean up what we could. The price was compairable to other estimates we received, however next time I would be willing to pay more with a different company to ensure a better out come.
