The whole experience was terrific!!! We are moving to a new state, and had no experience with Home Inspectors in the new state. In our previous state, we always had great service and were concerned about finding something similar. Well, Donn WAY EXCEEDED our expectations! From the 1st phone call > to the day of the service > results > follow up... he was professional, quick, knowledgeable, very detail oriented and friendly. We would highly recommend him!

Don is very knowledgable. He actually did three home inspections for us this year. (Long Story) I would say that he saved us money on the first two. And this third one he did a fantastic job as well. I think the third time is a charm and we will be in our new home shortly.

We had an awkward property. Several units. Caused some issues with pricing and getting started. But I think we worked it out and got a good inspection for an ok price.

First, I will say that if you're looking for a cursory home inspection at a cheap price, Anderson is not the company for you. Don does a very thorough inspection based upon his many years of experience, and the price reflects that. However, if that is what you want (which most people should when they are buying a house), then you will be very happy by choosing Anderson Home Inspection. Don is very up-front about what is a safety concern vs just a cosmetic issue. He is focus on legitimate safety issues. This was very helpful to us in deciding what we were going to bring to the sellers, and also what we were going to address first once we bought the house. We were very happy with his services.

Wonderful experience. We appreciated the way Donn sat down with us at the beginning of the inspection and reviewed the expectations and his qualifications. he expertly answered our questions, even ones that weren't strictly related to our inspection. Seemed to be completely thorough, very personable and in the end his expertise led us to the decision to not purchase the home we were inspecting, probably saving us a whole lot of hassle in the future.

Donn was great to work with. We had some scheduling issues that he worked around with no problem. After the inspection, we were given a detailed binder of issues and potential problems. He walked us through this and potential solutions. As new buyers we really appreciated this. The radon testing went well, Donn handled everything with the sellers. It has also been useful to receive his monthly newsletters with tips on home maintenance.

Don was very complete, explained everything very well. He answered questions thoroughly. We chose NOT to purchase the house based on the results of the inspection and mold testing - it was a very good decision, based in part on the information that Don provided. Will definitely use his services again!

Donn unexpectedly had to go out of town on the day I was scheduled for. We tried to find another day that would work out, but I ended up having to go with another home inspector. Donn was apologetic throughout and offered to send me some compensation for the inconvenience. I can't rate him on his home inspection, but I can definitely rate him on his customer service which has been exceptional despite the circumstances. I've got to believe that this is indicative of the quality of his services and I would not hesitate to use Donn in the future or recommend him to others.

Donn was absolutely outstanding. He truly is on the buyer's side and is invested in his customers. He was well organized and prepared an entire binder of diagrams to explain how grading should be done, etc. He gave us a lot of quality advice on how to keep our home in the best shape with easy yearly tasks. He was knowledgeable, trust worthy, and overall we were blown away with the quality of inspection we received. Our realtor who has been in the business for quite some time even remarked with being very impressed and that we received one of the best inspections he has seen. Donn really believes in quality and spent 3 hours with us on a 1400sq ft home to make sure we were well informed and comfortable with everything discovered during the inspection. Have already recommended him to friends!

After reviewing various home inspectors on Angie?s List and examining their business websites?we recognized that Donn was the best inspector to go with. Donn was hard at work before we arrived for the home inspection?he was evaluating the structure of the roof and chimney of the home. Upon entering the home, we received a vocal resume from Donn. Being a first time home buyer it was very reassuring to hear Donn?s wealth of knowledge. He explained what he would be looking for and what to expect. I loved the fact that Donn encouraged us to join him for the inspection; he thoroughly explained the different home components he was making note of. He also gave us a binder full of useful maintenance and safety information. I can see myself referring to this binder for years to come?the binder contains a list of reputable service providers for any type of home needs. The home inspection went extremely well. He noted minor issues that should be addressed and the order in which they should be addressed. He also stated if we needed any future advice in regards to maintenance of the home or needed a recommendation of a company, he would be happy to provide us with a reputable source. As a first time home buyer Donn treated me as if I was one of his kids - made sure everything he was explaining was understood and answered all my questions. Currently, I?ve been in the home now for a month and with the peace of mind provided by Donn?s inspection, haven?t had any problems!

If you haven't done all your homework on Donn yet, please do. I doubt you will find someone more qualified to inspect your (potential) home. We decided not to go with any of our agent's recommended inspectors because we wanted to make sure that our interests were put first (and because after researching them it was obvious that they weren't up to our standard). Unless you _really_ know and trust your agent, then I highly recommend to the reader that you do the same; most agents' primary concern is closing the sale, not necessarily finding you the right house (in my opinion). Donn made it clear from the beginning that his obligation was to us alone as buyers, which he demonstrated throughout the process. Having worked with Donn I can tell you he is a true professional. He was punctual, polite, funny, easy to work with, and knowledgable. He started by sitting down with me for a full half hour before the inspection to explain what he would be looking for and what to expect. I really appreciated that he didn't rush the process, and the extra time up front made the inspection itself go that much smoother. He also gave us a binder full of useful maintenance and safety information that all homeowners should have, plus our own sort of "Angie's List" that he has compiled over the years with contact info for qualified, reputable specialists in our area. The inspection process itself was great. Donn took the time to answer questions and gave thorough explanations along the way, demonstrating a level of knowledge that can only be gained through decades of experience. I was surprised to learn that home inspectors are _not_ required to look for or point out code violations, but having worked as a code inspector in the past, Donn was able to point out things that were not up to code. He noted minor issues that should be addressed whenever we could get to them; a bigger issue that was not a deal-breaker, but that should be addressed soon after purchase; and one issue important enough to address in escrow - and he helped us understand the cost and level of effort so we could decide to which category each issue belonged. In terms of price, Donn is on the higher end, but as they say, you get what you pay for. In my opinion, paying a little extra for a thorough inspection by a true professional is well worth the money. My wife's parents are planning a move in the next few years and we would recommend Donn to them in a heartbeat (already have, in fact).

Donn is excellent. He's timely, forthright, and well informed about the various functions and anomalies that come with a residential structure. He actually performed inspections on 3 different homes for us as we pursued the precarious attempt to find a new home during the tough housing market. He's not afraid to get dirty and crawl into the spaces that you may not wish to follow. Though, he encourages you participate in the inspection, and he's very good at presenting teaching moments that benefit in your future ownership of the dwelling.

Donn Anderson is fabulous - very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He told me we could contact him at any time, years after we move in, with questions. His report was very thorough and well done.

It went great. Don explained everything. He didn't leave anything out. He gave us many suggestions on experts. We would use him again. He sat down with my husband & explained to him the process & any questions he may have. He left us some information & quickly got us the report later that night. I'm very satisfied.

Donn was great. The inspection was supposed to cost $275.00 but when he realized that we might need to have a structural engineer come take a look, he didn't want to over charge us for his inspection and lowered the price. He gave us a referral for a structural engineer and was very helpful in providing the names of different contractors who would work with us and be very honest.

Donn did my home inspection 5 years ago and I was beyond pleased with how thorough he was and how much I learned. So when I was in the market for some air quality testing, I was happy to come across his name again. During my appt., he talked me through the radon and mold testing, gave me the pros & cons of certain tests and in true Donn fashion, he went above and beyond in offering me other tips/feedback on things he noticed/found outside of the tests he was here to perform. When you hire Donn, you get his years of experience, his incredible knowledge and far more service than you pay for. You can't put a price tag on peace of mind and that's exactly what he delivers.

I am extremely please with the inspection that Donn did for me. He was thorough in his inspection and explained everything throughout the process. He pointed out things that weren't even required by home inspections. The reason I chose Anderson Home inspection was not only because he has a high recommendation on Angie's List, but actually because of the few negative comments he received. I noticed the trend in the negative comments where the people were mostly upset because he pointed out things that could be an issue and may or may not have been after the fact or maybe he gave to much information. I wanted a person who would go the step beyond and do just that. I wanted someone who would point out what may or may not be potential issues and Donn did just that. Anyone can go through the motions; it takes pride in your work to go above and beyond; so I highly recommend Anderson Home Inspection for that reason.

I have used these services six times in 25 years and found that Anderson was as good as any, and perhaps slightly better than the services I have used in the past. If I had a irritation, it would be that Don tends to focuses too much establishing himself as an expert and on protecting himself from any customer coming back to him if he should miss something, or if something major goes wrong in the first six months of owning the house he had inspected. For those of us who use these services more than once or twice, we understand that there is very little an inspector can be held to account for...Overall, however, I would say he did a very good job.

Donn was incredibly professional, organized, thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. He truly went above and beyond and I cannot recommend him enough. I feel comfortable enough to call him if I ever need advice or further explanations. His final report was finished impressively fast and will serve us well for years to come. Words of advice - read everything he sends you before your appointment so you know what to expect, and walk through the house with him. If you have questions, ask. He's got a goldmine of advice.
