Excellent, promote, and courteous service. Bill said he would arrive at 8am, and did so. he changed the locks for me, keyed them to the same key and cleaned up any mess when we was done. He was worth the $340 to ensure my families safety. Thank you Loc Doc! I will definitely be using them again.

Upon inspection of two locks that were keyed the same, he found that they were in really bad shape and desperately needed to be re-pinned in order to avoid another impending lockout (the key would soon break off in the lock). I hadn't noticed this deterioration over time. He also recommended having separate keys for the common area and my private doors, clearly explaining the security concerns. I was happy to take his advice. He re-pinned the locks and provided me with 5 keys, including a discount, and he made a minor repair to a deformed door jamb that had been making the door difficult to open. Great service!

Called Bill to change out our locks. He was on site within an hour and done within 30 minutes of arriving. Changed out two locks, made 8 keys and did some extra work, without charging extra for it. The locks had been difficult to use, now they operate very well due to adjustments he made. He also had some very good suggestions for future reference. The guy knows his stuff and does great work.

The owner came out the day we called and installed three deadbolts and two exterior door handles. The cost was not cheap, but was reasonable for the quality of the work. I also appreciated that he quoted exact installation costs and various cost options for different handles on the phone before he came, so there were no surprises. He cleaned up meticulously, was efficient and professional. I would definitely use his service again.

The Lock Doc replaced three locks in our house, two with digital locks, after thoroughly evaluating our lock use and needs and explaining our options. His attention to finishing the installations included work on doors that provided a more finished look. He is personable, highly professional and his work has made a major difference in lock convenience and security.

Bill Lehr arranged a time at our convenience. He told us how long the installation would take. Bill showed up on time and was ready to work. Before starting, he asked it I wanted to review the work order one more time to be sure we had covered everything. We walked around the house and double-checked what would be done. Bill got right to work (and took off his shoes when in the house. Nice touch!) He competed the work in six hours, the time that he allotted. When he had to go get something, he let us know he was leaving and when he would return. He was polite, and worked around our needs so that we could go about our day. I highly recommend Bill Lehr/The Loc Doc. His professionalism and the quality of his work is excellent.

Bill was kind and helpful from the moment he arrived. He was patient in explaining options and how things work. He cleaned locks that were not working smoothly when he arrived without extra charge or complaint. I wondered about handles on inside doors, though he was not replacing them, and he looked at them and explained how good they were and how to unlock them easily from the outside with a screwdriver. When he replaced a keyed handle with one that was not keyed, he used the most economical handle based on his understanding of my need to be cost careful. When I didn't appreciate the style, he cheerfully and patiently replaced it with one I liked after explaining the price difference. He was willing to make as many keys as I wanted without extra charge, explaining why it was better to make them at the time instead of later by copying the keys. He was willing to come back to check on things if I found difficulties after he left, though there was never a need. If I have a need for lock service in the future, there is no doubt who I will call. Bill was amazing to work with, clearly knows his trade, was so kind and conscientious. Great knowledge, fast, fair price, had everything he needed, gave good advice.

I came home from my holiday vacation to find out my front doorknob no longer worked! I looked up locksmiths here and found the Lock Doc and gave them a call. Bill called me right back and within two hours had fixed my problem. He gave me an accurate estimate over the phone and was prompt. During the visit he answered my questions about what happened to the door and how I can prevent such things from happening again in the future. All in all a very good experience, and I would definitely use them again if something happened, although I'd probably try to fix it on my own first, I felt a little silly after seeing how simple it was!

Was able to schedule an appointment extremely quickly. Rejected seven locks (house and garage) and found that one lock was substandard and installed incorrectly, which I had suspected. He suggested replacing it with an electric lock, which I know is an upsell but in my case was extremely appropriate given that one lock had to be disposed of anyway and we have the little turn locks on all the door knobs and my kids have locked us out twice. Now we're able to get back in! The electric lock works just as promised and all the other locks work smoothly. Bill was very personable but not overly chatty. Very happy with the service.

Bill was very pleasant to talk to - he is knowledgeable, punctual, and also a good conversationalist. All told it took him less than 2 hours to replace the deadbolt hardware. We are very impressed with the quality of the installation - the deadbolts have very smooth actions and the fitting is perfect. He also replaced the door strike plates and used longer screws. Bill also custom cut a dowel bar for us at no charge. The one thing I would say is that the price markup for the actual deadbolts is a bit high - you could save yourself a good chunk of money by selecting the hardware yourself on Amazon.com and having Bill install it for you. But we were in a rush to change the hardware and were satisfied with his services. We'd definitely hire Bill again for any future locksmith needs.

Easy process where he made the keys in his truck and changed our locks right away.

Called at about 11:30 am. Bill gave me an estimate and said he was in the area, he would be finishing up a job in about 20minutes. He arrived about 11:50. Accessed what needed to be done and completed the job quickly and efficiently. He even fixed another problem for me. The service was fast, friendly and the pricing was fair. I was very pleased.

Bill was very responsive. He answered the phone each time I called and was able to schedule me with little notice. He changed the locks for a house we had just purchased. Not only did he rekey the locks but he also provided suggestions on how we could improve our locks in the future and what door handles would be best for our lifestyle. He seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about ALL different types of locks, which was great. I will definitely use him again in the future and recommend him to others.

Overall it went very well. We did have a scheduling issue. I'd called about a week prior to closing on the house to schedule an appointment but the day we scheduled, he was a no-show. I called and left a message and he returned the call that evening, very apologetic. He didn't get the appointment written down and forgot about it. However he was able to come out first thing the next morning. He made it up to us and I understand that scheduling snafus occur sometimes. In general it wasn't that big of a deal for me. When he did come out he was very helpful and explained everything that he was doing and showed some hints to keep the locks working properly. Would definitely use him again if we need lock work done.

He gave me a senior discount, and his price was good compared to other places. He was efficient, quick, and seemed to know what he was doing. I would recommend this fella.

The work was timely and good. He does a bit of salesmanship with some of his lock products, but I didn't mind too much. He also did a follow-up call with no trip charge when I wanted an additional lock changed.

He gave us an estimated time of arrival and did indeed arrive within that time estimate. He is personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He is very good at explaining different options and why he recommends certain brands and types of knobs & locks. He also carefully walked us through how to operate our new digital lock and how to add or change the codes. The whole process was finished in about 3 hours. It was a very good experience and we now have a reliable locksmith on whom we can depend.
