This company calls offering a free carpet cleaning service for one room. Do not be fooled. This is a Kirby vacuum cleaner pitch. I agreed to let them come clean one room of carpet as a trial. It turned into a 2 hour vacuum cleaning pitch, of which the carpet cleaning was only one small part. All that being said, it's a heck of a vacuum. My carpets have never been so clean. The carpet cleaning attachments work well also. But it has an exhorbitant price tag. $2300 - $2800 depending on gadgets and financing. It is a high pressure sales pitch with no time to research either the product or the terms. The salesman is intent on closing the deal then and there and isn't willing to give you time to think about the offer . We mistakenly made the assumption that what we were being offered was a standard price. Not so. Apparently anyone wanting to buy one of these can and should haggle like it is a used car. I only found out well after the fact that these vacuums are typically sold for around $1200, and there are some reports of them going as low as $800. Because their pricing is so suspect, I've rated them as an 'F' for pricing, and a 'F' for professionalism not only for the high pressure tactics the salesman used, but also for another instance related to this one. At the time of the sale I had given them the name of a family member that might be interested. They came over under to her house the guise of cleaning the carpet as they did in my case. My family member is physically disabled and living in a small house. The salesman came over, looked at the carpet they promised to clean, claimed he needed an attachment he didn't have, and disappeared never to be seen again. No explanation, no followup. Nothing. She waited for him to return, thereby wasting more of her time. We interpreted that the salesman figured he couldn't make the sale, so just took off, ignoring their commitment for the promised carpet cleaning.
