Description of Work: Home exterior painting, deck brought up to code, interior remodeling

Description of Work: I hired Scott from Saw Contracting to paint an entire rental unit - ceilings & walls of a large unit. The unit included 3 bedrooms, eat in kitchen, 1-1/2 baths, hallway, formal dining room and living room (1300 sq. feet). In addition there was some wall patching to do & the removal and re-installation of a 1/2 bath vanity, eliminating the need to hire a plumber to do this work.

Description of Work: Tried to cheat us out of 10% more off the contractors he hired. Was Hired as a General Contractor, this man has no business trying to do this job. He talks a good game, talking about his crew! LOL No crew, just a nice son, who competes with his dad throwing hammers into the wall to see who could make the hammers stick in the wall. Then when the county returned our deposit in Scott's name, he deposited it in his account, hoping we would forget about it. He had it for two months never said a word. Frankly I could go on and on about the incompetence of this man, who has no crew, but I think you get the idea. Oh yes, when the cement contractor poured a new basement wall 3 inches short and not even square, Scott Saw took pictures to the inspector and got the defective wall passed by showing the inspector photos. This man Scott Saw was hired and paid by us, not the cement man. The ultimate betrayal!

Description of Work: Bathroom remodel.

Description of Work: They never responded to my e-mail, either by e-mail or phone. Even if they were busy, a response of some sort would have been appreciated.

Description of Work: Scott was initially contracted to paint my house. He quoted three levels of pre-painting preparation and I chose the most extensive which called for stripping the cedar siding, priming and two top coats. During the prep he discovered a serious water damage problem on the exterior screened porch. He rebuilt the exterior and structural supports and re-screened the porch all while his crew continued to prep the house for painting.

Description of Work: SAW Contracting - owned/operated by Scott - restructured a dining room wall to install a set of new windows. This involved cutting a hole in the wall and restructuring 2/3rds of the existing wall with headers, jack studs, and king studs to properly support the load. Insulation and vapor barrier had to be installed to code. The windows had to be ordered and properly framed. The wall then had to be finished - drywall, painting, and stained trim to match existing window trim in the house.
