Twin Rivers Improvement

8/7/2021 They cashed my check April 4, 2021, and said they would be there in summer to do house project. I stopped by his office on June 13, because Ryan had never brought by the samples for me to order for siding, soffit or facia. Ryan tells me he will order my supplies and my house is on the schedule for august. I again go to his office on august 4 ( he doesn't answer any of my texts or phone calls) Ryan tells me that he hasn't ordered any of the supplies for my house, and he doesn't know when they are able to get to get the supplies or to start the job, but it would not be during august. I asked for a refund of my deposit. This contractor had my deposit for 4 months, and NEVER did anything, but cause me aggravation. Time to look for a new contractor.

I had an estimate for replacement of a roof in sept 2012 . I tried to contact them as to when I could have the work done and most of the time there was no answer so I would leave a message for them to return my call which seldom happened. When I did happen to get a hold of the office I was told I needed to talk to Ryan. I then told them the time at which I could be reached . He would never call at the times that I said I would be home, when I finally did get to talk to Ryan in Nov. and he stated that they could not do the work that year but if anything went wrong with the roof during the winter they would temporary repair it and then call me in spring to do the job. Well spring came and no call, so thinking that they might be busy I waited until May to try and contact them.It took until the end of June until I once again got to talk to Ryan. He then said that he could not find my signed contract and that I should make a copy and send it to him, then he would call to set up a date for the work. I waited one more month ( august 2013) with no call. I then tried the impossible which is to get a hold of him. I left numerous messages on thier answering machine and with thier office girl just to let me know if they were or were not going to do the job. There was never a returned call. So after waiting 10 months I got a roof contracter that actually returns calls and does the work.

Job completed in only 2 days, very professional, very reasonable cost wise and very honest. The estimate came in at $5500.00 with a cost not to exceed an additional $1500 if they had to resheet the roof. There was only one 4x8 section that had to be resheeted so they charged me $30 for that sheet. They also had a heating/cooling guy come in and redo the vents and seal the chimney to prevent future issues with the chimney. Twin Rivers didn't come in the lowest but I had previously had them do work on a flat rubber roof on the back of my house that was leaking and they did an excellent job then so I trusted them to do a good job on the larger portion of my roof this time. They were almost half the cost of a third estimate I received.

A portion of my roof--a flat area with a rubber roof was leaking. I had gotten several estimates. A patch job that I quite frankly didn't trust and two other estimates-one that was for $2900 and another for $3000. Twin Rivers came in, replaced the rubber roof, added a heat vent and replaced a portion of the main roof that was also leaking for the estimated $1800....the additional $40 was for a board that was rotted out and they had to run and get a replacement to repair it correctly. They were quick and finished in a day. They could have cleaned up a little better--I did find a few nails in the lawn afterwards but I considered that to be minor considering the work and the difference in cost. Also, about 2 months later, we had a heavy rain and there was a small amount of leaking. They came back in less than 24 hours and fixed it. Apparently it had to do with the overlap from one part of the roof to the next. I haven't had a problem with it since and it's been 3 years.
