I went to a RV show where Eco water had a booth set up, they yelled out to me as I was passing by to sign up for a contest; I shuck my head no and kept walking, the guy said can't you use some extra money it's no obligation and he reeled me in. As I was filling out the card he asked me what kind of water I have, I told him well, he said they were doing free water testing too. I put my card in the box and walked away. About 11/2 months later I lady called me from Eco water and apologizes for someone not calling me sooner to test my water, I said it's no big deal I don't really need this. The next day a salesman called and set up an appointment that was suppose to last 15 - 20 minutes (he was here for 11/2 hours) On 3/03/2011 the salesman arrived a little after 10am. We first went in the basement and he went from rm to rm looking at all the plumbing, while he was looking up at the PVC piping he decided he needed a closer look and stepped on my injection pit cover popping his heel through it. I asked him who was going to fix that now and how much it would cost, he said I could buy a cover at Fleet Farm and fix it myself and quickly changed the subject and left the room. Finally we went upstairs to test the water, he agreed my softener was working, then he by-passed the softener to test the water, after he ran the water in the sink for quit a while it began to smell like rotten eggs. I was told I have hard water and sulfur smell, he tried to convince me with little success that I need to rent his iron filter to get rid of it or my pipes will get pin holes in them and all leak. I still said no, so he said I have nothing to loose because I can try it for 30 days and if I don't like it he'll return all my money, I finally agreed and he had it installed that day. The next day my basement stunk like rotten fish and when the unit regenerated it flooded my sump pump hole leaving my basement soaked, it was also very load when it ran and woke my son in the middle of the night. I called and the salesman came out and changed the time on it and never addressed the other problems. He claimed he couldn't smell nothing, then said he thought he smelled laundry soap, give it a few more days. I did and had a flooded basement again. I called to have it removed and I was shouted at till I had enough and hung up. I called to tell the manager and she was just as bad and only agreed to give me $200 back for having the unit in my house for a week. It is a shared well and no one else has a iron filter. Recently talked to the DNR and was told this iron filter will not take sulfur from the water you need chlorination to do that. I believe I was deceased and mislead and have to go to court for my money back and damaged to my pit cover.
