Salesman promised professional crew and told us job was more expensive because they would use 6 nails per shingle to insure we would not have wind damage. First day of job the crew left at 11:30 A.M. and never returned. Called owner and complained. He was quite angry at crew and he himself showed up the next morning to work along with the crew. During this day I advised the owner that the crew was in fact not using the 6 nail installation that was sold to us. He yelled over to the crew "Hey 6 nails per shingle". They indeed used 6 nails for about 15 minutes and then again went back to 4 nails or less ( I could clearly hear the nail guns from inside the house). They crushed all of the bushes and flowers along side of the garage and in the back of the house. When I complained I was told they would fix this. They never did. We found tar stains on all sides of the house caused by them dropping the old shingles off of the roof (not enough protection on house). We complained and an individual showed up with a rag and a can of product. The end result was now smeared tar all over the house. Complained to the owner .. no response. Fast forward to 2012 ... we were having the house resided with a local contractor. Contractor had to reshingle all around the chimney because there was no flashing intalled. The water had run down the side of the house and rotted the wood in the chimney due to flashing problems on the roof. I sent the owner of Absolute Roofing pictures of damage with a complaint that his company should have fixed the missing flashing since I hired them as the professionals to fix my roof. He came to our house and went up on the roof to look for himself. He climbed off of the roof and approached me. He said that he is not responsible for this damage because he was hired to put on new shingles and not fix flashing (would you not expect the roof professional to at least advise you of a problem?). He said however .. he wanted to do the correct thing. He said I should send him a copy of the contractor invoice for the chimney repair and reshingle (approx $1500) and he would participate in covering this expense because he wanted to do the right thing. He and I shook hands and again he looked me in the eye and said ... even though this is not my fault, I will help pay for this since I remember your job and it did not go well. After several emails to the owner and the salesman, he has never honored his promise to help pay for repairs.I would not use or recommend this company to anyone. The do not install what the sell, the crew is unprofessional and the owner does not honor his promise. Look for a different company to work on your roof.

Response from ABSOLUTE ROOFING
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with the service that was provided to you. We take ownership for our wrongdoings. We think it is important to inform you that when you hired us we were just getting established. We now have been in business for over 15 years. Since you initially hired us we have grown tremendously. We have crew supervisors at every job to ensure that installations are being done per manufacture guidelines and the Absolute Roofing contract that was agreed upon by the homeowner and Absolute Roofing. All of our team members participate in frequent and ongoing trainings to keep up to date with installation protocols and procedures. We have an office manager who communicates with our customers to keep them informed throughout the entire project so no customer is left uninformed. This office manager is also responsible for ensuring that all customer's requests are answered. We have incorporated pre-project procedures, where our crews tarp off around the perimeter of buildings and areas on the roof to keep your landscape and siding protected to the best of our ability. In regards to chimney flashings, if customers choose to have their flashing replaced around their chimneys we are more than happy to do so, there is an additional charge for this service though. If this service is listed on the signed contract, we certainly will provide that service.
