Description of Work: We hired landworks to fertilize the grass, provide flower bed weed maintenance, and shrub trimming. They were far more expensive than other service quotes received but they were very responsive and professional with the initial proposal so we hired them. The fertilizer applications went fine. The bed weeding left something to be desired as there was routinely a section of the yard that had obvious large weeds. Some sort of herbicide was used to kill the weeds and was inadvertently sprayed on a few of our plants causing them to die off. I called to question the issue and was told the plants died due to a fungus (which was clearly not the case as there was no fungus and the same plants immediately next to them that weren't sprayed were fine). They wouldn't trim our magnolia bush even though shrub trimming was in the contract. They sent an additional service fee to do it. Overall initially professional however the quality of work didn't meet the high expense and was not pleased with how the dead plants were completely avoided. We hired a different service this year for less than half the cost and have had no issues.

Description of Work: Extensive landscaper redesign in backyard, including new lower bluestone patio, brick service patio and walkway, hot tub, pergola and wood steps out the back door.

Description of Work: I asked for an estimate to plant appropriate flowers in my yard, mulch and to re-seed or sod my backyard lawn. I told them I had been buying flowers every year and that they died or didnt look very good. They planted flowers based on my request for color and larger plants that would look like they had been there awhile, mulched and over-seeded my lawn as opposed to sod. I was very happy with the number and quality of plants and the mulching. The over-seeding did not work well. I followed their instructions regarding watering and the lawn looked ok, but not significantly better. They were spot on with the price we decided on, were timely for the estimate as well as the actual work. They cleaned up after themselves. I called them the following spring to ask them about pruning/cleaning up area after winter. They told me they would stop by and have a look and that I didn't need to be there. That was great, but the price they quoted me was almost half the price for the beautiful installation of plants and other services. I declined to spend that much for clean-up.

Description of Work: We kept in touch with the folks at Landworks since the first redid a large bed in the back of our house. The plantings have grown in since last fall and look beautiful. The staff has come by for a few hours every other week to do maintenance. We had them return in August to update our brick patio and walks around the house. The job involved cleaning, spraying for weeks, removing filling between the bricks and replacing it with a weed-resistant polymer sand. The results thus far are OUTSTANDING - there has been not even the hint of a weed growing back through the interstices! Thrilled with the results and will keep working with them in the future as we slowly redo the landscape around the house.
