Fireplace products distributor with a retail location in Sussex. Full remodeling services and new construction installation of fireplaces and Masonry products.
We started this journey by visiting the showroom and looking at the available models. We were interested in a high-efficiency wood burner, but after looking at specs of the units we discovered that it wouldn't work for our setup. We settled on the wood burner with a recirculating fan. Showroom experience...great! Don't stop reading, it's downhill from here. The fireplace is installed in our new construction home. One problem...they installed the model without the fan. OK, we reported it and they came out a swapped out the unit with the correct one. Phew, caught that in time....no problem, right? Well, it snows and water is running down the flue pipe and puddling on top of the fireplace. Thankfully, the drywall hadn't been installed yet so we could catch this. We report it to our builder who passes along the message and it's fixed. Or so we thought... That all occurred in December. The following July, after we moved in and a heavy storm rolls through. I'm in the basement....and water starts running between the subflooring from (you guessed it) the fireplace! Water was running down the flue pipe, puddling on the fireplace, running over the edge only to find a gap in the subflooring, and ending its happy journey to my basement floor. Eight months later after reporting this exact issue!!! Apparently, someone forgot to caulk the gap between the flue pipe and the cap. The gap was finally caulked, but the person that did that didn't take to extra two minutes to drive in the nails holding on the cap all the way in. I discovered this when I did a home inspection before my builder's warranty expired. I will never consider them in the future and you've been warned!

Excellent. They described the product I was interested in. Came and measured and recommended the correct insert. Product was ordered and when received we set up an installation date. Installers arrived on time were very professional. They explained the battery function in case of power failure and also the remote functions. I was very satisfied and would recommend them.

Never returned calls. We even visited the showroom and said we wanted to move forward and purchase the fireplace insert.

After a very bad experience with another local fireplace company (The Fireplace LTD - I rated them separately here on Angie's List) who told us it just could not be done, we were apprehensive about our desire to replace an old inexpensive wood burner fireplace insert with a quality gas unit. From the first phone call with Jeff and after sending him some photos and dimensions, we were set at ease....he assured us that he and his team would be able to help us and would get us something we would be very pleased with at a reasonable price. As it turned out, he was able to offer us options we never thought possible based on what we had been told by that other company. We visited the showroom and everything was smooth sailing from then on. Not only did we get an entirely new high quality gas unit (not an insert) that is amazing, we also had the old brick and hearth removed and an entirely new brick facing ,hearth and mantel installed - all custom work. It turned out absolutely awesome. The price was very reasonable given everything we asked to have done, and the price quoted is the price we paid. The demo and install crews did very meticulous work in about 3 days, were very friendly, and cleaned up after themselves to the point you wouldn't have known they were there. We now have a very attractive fully functional, remote-controlled, and high quality gas fireplace in place of the ugly outdated wood burner we never used, making our family room that much more enjoyable. We recommend Country Stove and Fireplace to anyone looking for anything related to a fireplace.....their showroom is something you really have to see (many functioning units and endless options for brick, hearths, mantels, accessories, etc.), and the staff is fantastic - extremely knowledgeable and professional, while being helpful by offering suggestions without being pushy. Their prices are reasonable, especially considering you get top-notch quality and personal service, which is what you'll want for your home. As it turned out, when we first visited the showroom, purely by coincidence, a co-worker was there looking to have them do a second fireplace for them as part of a renovation property they had just purchased. He told us we'd be very happy working with these folks, and his was correct.
Description of Work: Installed a new direct-vent remote-controlled gas fireplace in place of old cheap wood burner, refaced brick front and replaced the hearth, and replaced the mantel.

Description of Work: They put in a remote control for the gas fireplace. The guy installed it but did not spend enough time explaining how it worked and what to expect. We had trouble lighting it for a few weeks after.

They responded quickly to my request for an estimate. They came out within two days of my call and had the estimate to us within two days. They were extremely busy but were able to schedule the install within a month of agreement on the estimate. Their staff and subcontractors were extremely professional and were on the job when they said they were going to be there. They kept the work site clean and there was minimal dust as a result. We had an issue with the existing wiring and one of the owners came to the house and inspected it and was able to get an electrician in to fix it quickly and didn't delay the completion. They did a great job and we are very pleased with the results. Would highly recommend them!

Took exactly 7 days from estimate request to completion of work. Technician was in and out in under 30 minutes. Very pleasant and professional. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Replaced thermocouple, pilot assembly, and tray for a gas log that has been in the home for 20+ years. ONLY company that would even come look at a unit they had not installed.

They purchased the granite from someone else. They purchased it for us, so we spent the whole $3000 with them. I asked for an estimate in one day if I could and I got it. They came out one day and I had the estimate the next day. They were extremely patient. The people supplying the granite were kind of terrible. It was granite tiles and they kept sending mismatched tiles. Therefore, they actually had to come out and re-order the tiles three times. They were never nasty or complaining. It was not their fault, it was not my fault either but it was the tile people’s fault. However, they were never nasty and were great about everything. I would absolutely use their services again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: I used the services of Country Stove & Fireplace to put in a fireplace, not the mantle but granite around it, in the house.

This company is very friendly over the phone and gave me all the information I needed to know without my having to ask all the right questions. The logs are priced competitively, as is the installation. They missed 2 appointments to come out and measure my fireplace to confirm what size logs I needed to purchase, but when I called them to take issue, they made up for it by setting a very quick installation date for me. The installer arrived 1 1/2 hours late, but was super friendly and helpful. Did a nice job with the work. I'd use them again, but would call to confirm appointments on the morning of the appointment to ensure I'm not waiting around for them to show up.
Description of Work: We recently changed our wood burning fireplace into a fireplace that uses gas logs. We already had the gas line installed. This company provided the ceramic logs and installation.
