Algae Men

Algae Men did an incredible job cleaning our patio, it truly looks brand new. The service was super friendly and they were very easy to work with. We will for sure be using Algae Men again in the future and recommending to family and friends to use Algae Men.

I hired Algae Men to only clean the algae off my roof on 07/23/2021. Incorrect procedures (job was rushed) caused permanent chlorine chemical etching damaged my aluminum siding, storm windows, gutters and down spouts, and garage door. In addition to etched window glass and dead grass below the down spouts. They cleaned the roof from the ground instead of from the roof. The chlorine cleaner on the roof and what was splashed on the siding was not rinsed off. 90 degree plus sunny days followed. Algae men made 4 attempts afterwards to fix the damage, all with no success. Owner Ryan Merkel came out 2 times himself, admitting to the damage being caused by bad procedures performed by his employees. The team leader who was in charge that day was fired (said Ryan). The same damage was caused to another house in Oconomowoc, see his google review below. I have high resolution images taken that day (time/date stamped) before the damage occurred, one image showing one of his employees in the picture. I also have an email from Ryan Merkel admitting to nearly all the damage. He only offered to scrub house and touch up missing paint. Not acceptable on what was once beautiful 2 toned aluminum siding. He refuses to contact me or make an insurance claim on his own. I filed a complaint with the BBB, #16003341, have obtained legal council, and filed a claim against his insurance co, Germantown Mutual. I have images, before and after, and all email/text conversations to back everything I have written here. Horrible experience.
