He had a tool that, of course, non-plumbers don't have. But it didn't catch anything and Oliver couldn't feel the rag.

Bad. He hardly answered the phone and when he did he said he would call me back with a quote and that happened about 3 times before I moved on because I needed the work done. If you want the business of someone it is best to work with them and not have stuff go one way.

Ron was very professional and personable. He was also very careful not to let our cat either outside or in the basement. He was thorough, quick and efficient. We won't hesitate to call Oliver's again.

Good start to finish

He did a very professional job. Just thought that $135 for 1/2 hour project was maybe a little steep. Would I use him again...Maybe

They were on time, they were easy to work with, and everything was fine. I would recommend them and I wouldn't be afraid to use them again.

I had a leaking shower faucet that I tried to fix myself and was very unsuccessful. This plumber came to my house on a very snowy day when the roads were barely passable and did the work. He was professional and was not at all critical of my failed attempts to do the project myself.

We called Oliver’s Plumbing when our 15-year-old sump pump stopped working in the house we had moved into 10 months before. Our two sump pumps had gone off several times a day throughout the winter and spring, and we had plenty of evidence that the system was necessary to keeping our basement tolerably dry, so we were looking for someone to replace both pumps. Ron pointed out that our drainage piping from both pumps was smaller than recommended for proper and efficient functioning of the system and prolonging the life of the new pumps. This might sound like an upsell, but we confirmed the same advice on the manufacturer’s website and non-affiliated industry sites. Also, his estimate for replacing both pumps and all the pipe was only $120 more than another company had quoted us for just dropping in two new pumps and plugging them in, even though the more complex job ended up taking more than 3 hours. When he came out to give the estimate, we also asked him to spec a number of other possible smaller jobs, and in each case, he explained why that didn’t really need doing, or what steps we could take ourselves instead of a more expensive fix (for instance, we asked about installing an automatic timer to relieve the water pressure on the washing machine hoses, and he said he could put in a $500 electronic model, or we could just shut off the valves to the washer whenever we weren’t doing laundry). However, he is very safety conscious, and if he sees a small problem that creates an actual safety hazard, he is quick to point that out. We found him to be honest, punctual, and personable. He was conscientious about making sure there were no pets to watch for when going in and out of the basement, and he left the work area as clean as he found it. The final price matched the estimate. We were glad we had called Ron and would hire him again.

Oliver's did a GREAT JOB, he was on time (both for the estimate and the install), when he said he would be, did what he said he would, and charged what he estimated. Frankly, I expected the final bill to be more than the estimate, due to the difficulty of the install, but I was charged exactly the estimate. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Oliver's, and I will use them again!

Their services are excellent. We interviewed several plumbing providers and they were not the cheapest, but they were the most thorough and professional.

We spent about $2600 for their services. The plumber was extremely honest and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time discussing options with us. He also cleaned some hard water from our toilet tank because he was there and it was free of charge. I would tell others to use him if they need a plumber. We would most definitely use him in the future too.

He did an excellent job and we are very happy with the work. We had several quotes for tankless water heaters and regular tank water heaters. He was the only one to point out concerns with the capacity of our gas lines and the like to put in a tankless water heater. Given the large expense to upgrade these fixtures, we went with a traditional water heater. We were happy that he was so thorough about these issues and we were impressed with his knowledge. He installed it within two days of accepting his quote (the old one was still working, not an emergency to replace) and it took about 3 hours to do the job. He also scheduled the city inspector to come out right at the end of the job to give the ok, and also to make any fixes right away if needed (no changes were needed).

He's good. He might be a little pricey, but he does good work. It's a small business, he's self employed, does his own work and is very conscientious of what he does. He's put in a water softener, water heater, did all the sump pump and battery back ups for us. He's done quite a bit for us and does a good job. He's right on time. He's honest so if he think it's going to be more than what we figured he will tell you. If he's not going to be there on time he will tell you. He is really honest to a fault, probably. We pay a little extra because he's there when we need him and he does good work, I really can't complain. We've only had him come back on one issue. He pulled a toilet for a remodeling job and there was a slight leak, he came out and fixed it and obviously there was no charge.

It was forty below and the pipe was gushing. Within twenty minutes he was here. He did a makeshift fix. He came back first thing the next morning to take care of the problem.
