I contacted this company on 08/24 but never received a response back. I contacted them again on 08/27 and never received a response back. It's now 09/03 and I'm taking my business elsewhere. Their lack of any sort of response shows the low level of professionalism.

Careful: I've hired David Hare twice. The first time was great. The second was a nightmare. I will not hire him again. If David does the work himself, you'll be happy. If his assistant Eddie is in charge, you will want to sue for damages. Nearly everything Eddie does will need to be redone. Here's the rundown: * Boards not fully screwed to the frame, many screws simply inserted into drywall and covered over with joint compound. * Many boards attached with a single screw inserted between boards. * As many as 4 tries to cut openings for electrical outlets. * Oblivious to drywall dust with no tarping of the floor and no clean up resulting in a white haze of drywall dust everywhere. You'll feel like you're dealing with asbestos. I contracted HarePlastering & Drywall to finish a job I had 50% complete. Instead they replaced everything charging me for time and materials.
Description of Work: I signed a proposal to finish the drywall job I started but never finished. David was only to finish the drywall job but ended up replacing all the drywall.

We ended up going with David on the plastering and I'm glad we did. David and his crew did a great job. I could get a hold of him via text, email or cell phone and he was quick to respond. The quality of the plastering was great. We did have some final items to touch up and David was very quick to get them done. I would use David agian if I build another house.
Description of Work: David completed the plastering of my new home.

We had to be out of town when the replastering work was done, so we left a key for them. When we came back a few days later, the ceilings looked as if new and the house had been cleaned of all trace of their work. We were able to immediately call a painter to finish the job. It all went effortlessly. (A half year previously, we had asked a house painter to do the replaster work before he painted our entire first floor. We assumed that a professional house painter would of course know how to handle this sort of thing as part of overall painting services. Wrong. Very wrong. That's why we chose to have it done all over again, and went to Hare on a neighbor's recommendation.) Another plaster company had to redo one room because of roof issues and said the work by Hare was not as solidly as it should have been.
Description of Work: We had long cracks running the length of the ceiling in several rooms --from our 1936 house doing its inevitable settling over the years-- and we also had some ceiling damage from ice damming on the roof. This company came in promptly, did their work quickly, efficiently, and Beautifully! They were artists at it! Our ceilings have that rough 'sandy' appearance, and the texture perfectly matched the rest of the non-touched ceiling. We had the fortune to have the actual owner, David Hare, do our project, with one other man. I cannot speak for the work of other staff he may use on the job when he himself cannot be there.
