Mr. Moll is a licenced master plumber and charged $95 an hour. Probably about the going rate here. He was unresponsive on answering questions during the project by phone or email. It took more than email to get a reply from him when we had questions. He did work quickly when he was here and I think his quality is at his licence level. The problem I had with him is that he would not install the garbage disposal I had purchased saying that it will break down quickly. I told him we rarely use a garbage disposal. We rarely cook at all! But what really bothered me about his professionalism is that he lied to me about the little "red/blue" hot cold button that belongs on our Kohler lavatory faucet. He said that they don't come with that. WRONG! I called Kohler and sent him and email with the exploded view of the faucet and sure enough there it was! No response from him. Kohler sent me the button free of charge. But why lie to me about it???

Thanks for your feedback. I want to thank you for awarding me the general work as well as many additional jobs during the project. As you may recall, my main concern with your initial disposal choice was the external connections which I need to warranty and not the frequency of use. I mis-spoke about the faucet button and I'm sorry you feel I lied to you. Your demeanor and feedback was all favorable throughout the project so I was alarmed to see this feedback and I'm truly sorry if you were actually not happy with my work. I wish you well.

John was fantastic! We called him on a Sunday to leave a message for an appointment for the following week and he immediately called back and said he could come within the hour to check out the problem and make an overall assessment. He was then able to return with his tools bright and early Monday morning to get started on fixing everything. The previous owners of the house we had just bought had done their own renovations and neglected to call in a plumber, so within the first few weeks of us living here, every sink in the place started to develop little leaks. John spent about two and a half hours fixing EVERYTHING and charged us $90/hour. He gave us a little discount for paying cash, but will also accept a check. He also fixed quite a few minor issues that we hadn't noticed from the previous owner's plumbing installation. One was the hot and cold water being swapped in the kitchen sink (cold water when the handle was turned right and hot when turned left, instead of the other way around). Another was the arm of shower head being installed the wrong way around, resulting in the shower head hanging a little lower than it should. We're new home owners and John was extremely helpful, prompt, and friendly. He was great with our dog, too. We'd definitely recommend him and call him again in the future.
Description of Work: Fixed sloppy handyman plumbing from previous owner of our new home. Fixed leaks in kitchen and bathroom sinks, as well as going into the wall to fix a leaky shower that was draining through the floor to the downstairs bathroom. He also fixed a kinked hose and restored hot water to the kitchen.

We have used this provider in the past and will use him again in the future. He does great work, is very thorough, and follows up with issues or advising the job is completed
Description of Work: We had him redo a bathroom, change out facets, and general plumbing work. If there is something he can't do, he will let you know up front.

Very pleasant guy to work with. No worries leaving him work alone in the house while I went back to work. Right on quote, even though it was 8 months later and the scope of work changed some (and not for the easier). Even followed up a few weeks later to ask if inspection went alright.

I left a message on a Friday, got a call back on Saturday, and was able to choose a time which worked for both of us for the upcoming Tuesday. John arrived, showed me how the first toilet didn't actually require any repair, just a minor tweak. He could easily have replaced an unnecessary part and I wouldn't have known any better, but he showed me the issue and explained the solution. He was very honest. He fixed the second toilet with ease, and then I sprang the real challenge of the day.. figuring out the source of a small drip noticeable in the basement. He tracked it down to an issue with the shower, showed me the drip, then replaced the part as needed. And for those of you who appreciate it, John and I were able to go over some details of what was needed via text and picture messaging after our initial call. I love that form of communication when available. Thanks!

We have used John of Aqua plumbing now for years. The most recent was when he replaced the toilets and installed a RO system in our kitchen. John arrived when he said he would. The work was done on time and was done well as it always has been when we call. He is courteous, professional, and knows his stuff. In the past his suggestions have saved us money. He is up front and fair with his charges. We have no problem referring John to our friends and we do. He has treated them the same as he has treated us. Very well.

or addition of waterirranty had
Description of Work: I can't give you an amount spent for the total job since the work was done thru a contractor but whatever the plumbing cost it was too much. We had a major addition to our home which involved extensive plumbing work including new kitchen, bathrooms, connections from well system to systems in the basement including the water pump, water heater and water filter etc. Overall, the contractor (Jeff Ziegler Builders) did an excellent job but the plumbing was a glaring weakness in the overall project. The plumber, John Moll was a nice enough fella but he always seemed in a big hurry and overly anxious to get the project done which is OK as long as quick work is also thorough work and that seemed to be Johns problem. While installing the new plumbing in the guest bathroom, a leak accured and flooded the bathroom closet. Since me or my wife were not present at the time I can't explain how this could have gotten away from those at the site but it resulted in a lot water on the floor in that area. While connecting the water pipes to the water heater in the basement, John informed us that the connector at the top of the heater was faulty and that he would need to replace the whole heater at a cost of around $600.00. Subsequently, another plumber told us that the connector could have been easily repaired. John did go out and brought back another heater and installed it. It didn't work so we called our LP gas supplier to see if he could find the problem. The probem was John had brought a water heater for natural gas and we have a L.P. system. We were told that this could have been a real hazard had it been neglected. We called John and he came back with the correct heater and installed it. While on this trip we asked john why the guest bathroom shower water ran so poorly. I know about the new plumbing requirements for water usage but this was really bad. Our other shower is fine but it was obvious that the pressure in the guest bathroom was less than normal by any standard. John could not explain it and essentially said that that was how it was and he couldn't do anything to solve the problem. We just discovered that there is a serious leak in the guest bathroom and when the shower is in use there is water coming out from behind the floor board. We called john and he said he would come out but our warranty had expired 5 months ago and he would have to charge us for this service. We will get another plumber for this project because we don't know if John would even be able to fix the prloblem. The plumbing is 17 months new and it is already leaking. In the future we find all of our service thru Angies list.

Response from Aqua Plumbing
As a master plumber, I enjoy my 17+ years in the field. My business is almost exclusively based upon referrals from satisfied clients and contractors. I would like to address the issues that [member name removed] has with the work I performed for him as the plumbing contractor for their addition and remodeling project. I continue to subcontract for Zeigler Builders as his sole plumbing contractor. I pride myself on being timely and completing work efficiently. [member name removed] comment regarding my “anxious” work ethic I actually take as a compliment. Clients, as echoed by testimonials on my website, respect the fact that I work very hard and diligently to provide a high quality finished product. Regarding the new guest bathroom: The concrete contractor used the floor drains to empty and clean their cement buckets—doing so caused the drain to clog- [member name removed] dehumidifier went in to the same drain and caused the floor drain to backup. I in fact remedied a problem that was caused by another subcontractor. Regarding the low water pressure: The low volume issue from the shower head was a result of the body sprays and high demand of water which can be an issue when a residence is on a private well. Regarding the water heater: The water heater failed because of its age. The connections rusted to the point where the water heater could not be salvaged. Due to a miscommunication between the general contractor and me, I installed the incorrect water heater. I apologized and was relieved that this error did not result in an injury or property damage. I promptly installed the appropriate water heater at my expense. [member name removed] never contacted me regarding the shower leak issue so I can not respond. While reading this response however, it appears to be a tile issue and not a plumbing issue at all. I trust you will consult my website and other reviews on Angie's List to hear first hand the high quality service I provide. Respectfully, John Moll Master Plumber #231019

Excellent.
Description of Work: As a realtor, I often need a reliable plumber to help my clients with issues that arise during inspection or while preparing their homes for sale. Small repairs, remodels, water heaters and water softeners are some of the projects they have completed for me. Aqua plumbing is always responsive, courteous and fairly priced. I would definitely use this contractor again. I refer them to other realtors and friends whenever possible.
