Went very well. Very pleasant and helpful. Punctual, did a great job.

Water heater went out. Technician came and did a beyond thorough inspection, testing every possible issue that might be causing the water heater not to stay on. They were upfront with the options (fix current water heater or get new one) and not pushy about a decision. Friendly and courteous. I have used them a few times in the past and will continue to make them our first call for plumbing, heating & AC service needs.

They come quickly, and they are professional. They get in, get the job done, and get out.

It was an okay experience. The work was satisfactory. The staff was fine and great. They were very quick.

Three or four plumbers worked on the house separately, inattentively removing the basement washer drain pipe. When contacted to do the final hookup I was charged $250-300.00 to run a new washer drain line. I challenged the charge and Action's owner (guy with the cape) met me at the house with all the plumbers who worked at the house. None remembered that the pipe existed prior to Action's presence at the house. Mr arrogant decided that I was wrong and walked out of the house. I followed him out and informed him that I would contact the BBB for advice. His response was "Go ahead"'. I did and eventually received a $220.00 refund from Action.

I contacted them only a week in advance of when I wanted installation since I was scheduled off work that day. Got an estimate over the phone and agreed to it and they showed up as scheduled a week later. Installer explained the process and how long it would take etc. He finished in the time stated and seemed very professional and knowledgeable to me. The bill was for the exact amount of the estimate, so no surprises there. Everything went smooth and I am very happy with the overall experience and results.

The technician came and looked at our 1994 furnace, replaced some seals and talked about higher than average CO readings and that we would probably have to replace sooner rather than later. He also looked (2 minutes) at our water heater on the way out. He was very nice and explained things well. Also when the CO readings were high he asked if I wanted to continue in case he found a really big problem and had to replace major parts/whole furnace right there. I recommended proceeding because we weren't over the CO limit. Nothing more was found on the casual inspection and he said readings were due to old furnace.

Went well from start to finish. They got there a little earlier than planned, the replacement went pretty quick, and there was nothing for us to clean up when they were done.

I am update my description because my extreme disappointment with the company clouded my ability to clearly described what went wrong. I met with an estimator to review my design intent. The estimator took pictures of the existing conditions, perhaps to aid in composing the estimate. The day of the work, I met the plumber at my house and I had to describe the work a 2nd time but to the plumber. This is a clear case where the estimator somewhere failed to communicate what we had discussed during our initial consultation with the plumber. The plumber did the prep work removal. The rough-in for the supply lines and waste line was correct. However, the vent line was not. The plumber simply re-routed the vent line, in the same condition but a few inches lower. Thus cutting another hole in a structural column supporting the overhead beam. I was irate to discover what they failed to listen, understand, or even observe. I paid them off because I wanted their lack of ability out of my house before they did further damage. I could have had them correct the problem, but somehow describing my design intent a 3rd time was beyond what I wanted to deal at the time, with this company and their inability to understand instructions. I had to come back to reinforce the column with metal straps to prevent shearing. I did not appreciate the additional work I had to do to correct their incompetence. I am confidence in my remarks and observations, working for a commercial architecture firm for 15+ years, I have learned to pick my battles with contractors. It is more personal with my own home and I have less tolerance for poor workmanship. I updated the rating too, because they did some things correctly. However, fell very short on the component I really needed them to do well on. This is the first company, whom heavily advertise in the media, where I am left disappointed. Only after the fact that I have come across a plumber, Brian (with Steve "Mook" Welch Plumbing, LLC, not on Angie's List) whom is professional, offers design solutions and calls to ask questions when he is unclear about something. That is the type of skilled professional I would call back --- and have repeatedly on other jobs and now recommending to you.

I've called them several times for various plumbing concerns - mostly drippy faucets. Always pleased with their promptness and service.

We were pleased that Chris could determine that the leaking was a minor problem and required tightening a valve. He initially misdiagnosed the cause of the failure of the heater and was recommending we purchase a new unit. By happenstance before he left he determined that the problem was a faulty blower motor. However he did not have a new one with him. he was able to get the water heater working through the weekend by resetting it, a temporary fix as by Monday it had stopped again. We decided to go with another company for the new blower motor on Monday, as they had the part in stock and at a lesser price with the Angie's coupon. We would call Action again, especially for weekend service.

They were quick, I saved money with a coupon. The sink no longer leaks. I never had a problem with them, the customer service was excellent.

I liked that they get the job done. They are expensive, very prompt and they don’t have specialty knowledge for some things, but they average issues they handle well.

When I did not have any water coming out of any faucets when using "hot", I contacted Action Plumbing. I have used them before and have always been pleased. The person taking my call put me in contact with a technical person to discuss my problem. I was concerned there might be a safety issue and he indicated that would not be the case so I made an appointment for the next work day and not an emergency visit on the weekend. The plumber arrived on time for the appointment, promptly confirmed the suspected problem and had it fixed in a short period of time. One of the things I like most about Action Plumbing is their willingness and ability to troubleshoot the problem over the phone. Some things can be resolved by them walking you through some troubleshooting items.

Furnace had been touch and go from November. I'd replaced the capacitor myself, and the furnace worked for about a month. Late one afternoon in December, the furnace had quit again. Tired of DIY attempts, I decided to call in a pro. Living in a rural area, finding a local service person to avoid trip charges can be difficult. None of the local guys had time for the job, so I called Action around 4:00 PM in the afternoon. They gave me the option of having someone come out that evening, as an emergency service call, or someone coming out the next day. Being a somewhat warm December day, I opted for the next day. Technician arrived promptly the next day. Listened to the issues, inspected the furnace and started dismantling the air intake. He found around 5 birds who'd made their way into the intake tube and were blocking air flow. One crispy critter had made it all the way into the burner box! He finished inspecting the rest of the furnace and buttoned every thing back up. Overall repair time was about 45 minutes. The technician even took the birds with him instead of tossing them in my garbage. Furnace has run fine since. Action was the first call I made because of an experience a friend of mine had with the owner of Action. The owner was at a driving range, and hit my friends car which was driving on the road. She drove over to the range, and he immediately took responsibility for the errant ball and repair of the damage.That was pretty stand up to me.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service and quality of work of the Action Plumbing team. I had a long list of plumbing and heating/cooling repairs that I needed to have done, primarily in the basement where leaking laundry tubs had caused water damage to a bathroom. The company responded quickly and promptly scheduled service, coordinating with an electrical contractor as necessary, and arrived right on time. I didn't think they could possibly get everything done in one day, but they did, calling in extra help as needed. The work was efficient, professional, and well-done. Action Plumbing went above and beyond what I requested, even removing mildewed carpeting and baseboards. They cleaned up thoroughly and took all the old icky stuff with them for disposal. Along the way they discussed prices and options with me, and when they were done provided excellent training on the use of the new water softener and water heater. Everything looks and works great, and the total cost was even less then the original estimate of $5,000.00. I will definitely use this company for any heating/cooling and plumbing needs I may have in the future.

Excellent !! When we set up installation, they were very helpful in helping us determine what we would need. The new bathroom fixture was exactly what we wanted. They will be the first service provider we consider for any future work. Three minor things: 1) A power was needed for the water softener which we did not know about in advance so had to Jerry-rig with an extension cord. 2) We were not told in advance that we would need to get salt for the water softener within a matter of days. It worked out OK with our schedule but would have been good to know in advance. 3) A drain fixture was needed for the water softener. They had to tap into another drain pipe in the basement. There was no choice here, but again, it would have been good to know in advance.

The job was performed as expected and 4 leakage points were found. The plumber was very good in finding them and fixing the problem, from breaking the ceilings to fixing the pipes and also maintaining everything dry and clean. He worked for 7 hours but got an extra help from another plumber from the company for the last 2 hours. Everything was fine until he presented the bill at the end. They charged $1,100 for labor (for a total of 9 hours it means $120.00 per hour. not cheap but worth it) and $900 for materials! The last part was hard to digest since they used only some few pieces of pipes, junctions and glue. The lack of a list of the materials used and their individual cost and the round number just reinforced my conclusion. I asked how the cost could be so high and he just replayed saying that the materials are expensive and that's it. No many options and the service was already done so we had to pay. The company owner came back to me as soon as he learned about my review and I liked that. Beside he was a little bit too defensive and trying to prove his point, he agreed that was a mistake not showing me the detailed list of materials used. After some weeks he supplied that to me and that let me changed the ratings for the service. I hope they have changed their procedures in terms of reporting and explaining the costs in more details to customers.

Action plumbing was available as promised on countertop and sink installation date to make sure we could complete the project all in one day. They were very good about working around the installation. We are always satisfied with their work. Always

Our water heater (about 9 years old) started leaking at the top sometime on the 4th - there was water everywhere. We didn't catch it until late in the evening. Once we cleaned it up and decided that we needed to call someone to come in, it was pretty late. The review on Angie's List lead us to Action Plumbing so we checked out their website. They had a section where you could schedule a time to have them come out - so we submitted that on-line to have them come out the next morning (we hoped). They called right away the next morning (7 am) and said they would have someone out between 8 and 9. They arrived in that window and quickly had it replaced and up and running. We had hot water by 10 am.
