Action Plumbing Heating ,and Electric

They replaced an old sump pump with a Zoeller aqua-mate M72. It took the guy 30 minutes to complete the job. The guy was punctual and courteous, but I had to ask what the make of the pump was. This pump is available for ~$90 at a store, but when I received (the non itemized) bill, I was charged $279 fir the pump. So, good service but VERY expensive! (30 mins labor plus pump = $400!!!).

Since the softener was still under warranty, the Action plumber did not do any repair work. He made sure there would not be any attempts at regenerating before I could get someone from the company that installed it to come, and gave me the diagnostic information that needed to be passed on to them.

Installed a Water Heater and gave me good cost savings advice on the extra requests I made that were not needed.

I discovered that bursted water pipe in the evening. I contacted the person on call at Action Plumbing, and together we decided that it would be much less expensive to keep the water off overnight, and avoid the charge for emergency service. Chris from Action Plumbing was at my house before 8:00 in the morning. He installed a new valve. He explained what he was doing and why. He also told me about their coupon on the front of the phone book, which saved me $25. I felt the price was very fair, especially given the prompt service and the coupon.

We've used Action Plumbing for other work in our home, and they were our first call when we needed plumbing work for our kitchen remodel. We called and they agreed to send someone out the next day to give us an estimate. After walking around the house with the rep, he said he would go back to the office, talk with the boss, and get our estimate to us by the next day. Two weeks went by and we never heard from Action again. Fortunately, we found another WONDERFUL plumber through Anggie's List, and are extremely satisfied with the work they have done for us so far.

Initially came to fix a leaky pipe, but I also asked him to look at a few other minor issues. Was very responsive, helpful and explained everything in terms I could understand.

The person coming in for repair was extremely professional and tried to troubleshoot everything that could be done to salvage the situation instead of simply sticking us with a big bill. Turned out the issue was much simple to begin with and the issue we were having with the ignition of the fireplace was due to a blocked vent from outside due to a wasp nest that he cleaned out. The whole work time was about an hour and he was very courteous and patient in checking off everything that was instead of rushing, because honestly we are new homeowners and we would have had no clue whatsoever. Would totally recommend the company to friends and family.

The service was prompt and professional. The technician used a lot of care when removing the old bathtub stopper/drain assembly to avoid damaging the bathtub. All waste materials were properly disposed of and the work area was clean once the job was complete. We are very happy with the new bathtub plumbing. Given the effort and time required to do the work, the cost seemed reasonable.

Action Plumbing came out the day after we called. Service was prompt and professional, and we will not hesitate to use them in the future. Can't say the same for the plumber the contractor used.

I called them in the early afternoon. I badly need a replacement toilet. To my surprise, they said they could be here sometime in the afternoon and they would call before they came. The person on the phone was very polite and knowledgeable. The serviceman was so polite and friendly and very professional. He didn't waste any time, and completed the job in a very short time. I have called them before for AC issues and as far as I am concerned, they are the only ones I will call for future issues. The toilet came with a 2 year warranty, which I also appreciated.

They refused to work with my home warranty company. I am just now closing the claim 3 months after the date of service, and am not being reimbursed by my warranty company since they stated that they re-routed the drain hose.. It is important to note that the work that was done did not fix the problem at all, house flooded two more times after they came out. Had to rip out brand new wood flooring and replace. My home warranty company refused to have me call them again, they sent out a different company who fixed the problem in an hour so I will never have this issue again and couldn't beleive that another plumber had been out and didn't fix the obvious problem that water cannot drain out of the hose without any pitch to it. Of course my second call to a plumber was not covered by home warranty either as they don't cover "improper installations." This whole experience has been eye opening. I will NEVER use Action Plumbing and Heating again. I paid them for their time since nothing was fixed and had to pay a second plumber on top of it.

Our AC quit working and we had used Action previously so we called them again. They were able to come out within a couple of hours the same day. After checking the outdoor unit and finding nothing wrong the tech moved to the inside components. It didn't take long to find the problem was in the over 20 year old electrical breaker panel. After replacing the breaker switch, luckily he had one for this old of a panel on the truck, problem solved. As the tech was preparing to leave, I recalled another longtime (6 months) electrical issue involving an overhead light/ceiling fan in our family room( a converted three-season room). The tech was willing to take a look at this problem also. After checking the wall switch and the ceiling junction box, the problem was still unfound. Only after I remembered that the wall switch had originally been for an outdoor light source did he find the problem. A snow storm had caused wires to come into contact with each other causing the line to trip the breaker whenever the wall switch was turned on. Disconnecting the wire from the ceiling junction box and capping the wires outside remedied the situation. Through each step of both repairs the tech explained what was the problem and why and how his fix would remedy the issue. Far above and beyond the call of duty. We have used Action about three times now and will call no other Heating/AC/Plumbing/Electrical company whenever needed. Highly Recommend Action!

The service provider's name was Chuck. He did a fantastic job. This was not the easiest repair and he was able to get it done in about an hour. He was super nice and easy to talk to. He did a great job. I would recommend that if you want to schedule service that you just call. I tried using the webchat and although I received an initial, "Thanks for contacting us, how can I help you?" I responded and received no response during the chat. I also tried scheduling my appointment online. When the gal called back and left a message she told me they received my request and to call to schedule the appointment even though I had already done that online?? Just call, you'll be happier. They charge $95 for the 1st half hour and $25/quarter hour after that.

I was very satisfied with their timeliness of getting the job done. I was also happy with how fast they came to me. They had a cancellation and they called me and asked if they could come a day earlier which was nice too.

We had problems with this provider in the past (you can find more details in the review we wrote about them) but since they provided a response and were keen about getting the things right we decided to give them another chance. We were having problems with our fire place and we also wanted to extend the gas line to the outside deck for a grill. We contact them via Angie's list e-mail and we never got an answer, not even a thank you note with an excuse. My wife also contacted them by phone. They asked for our address and after getting it the attendant said that a manager was going to contact us, without explaining why and without even asking what we wanted. We never got a response back neither from her or from the manager. During the phone call my wife also noticed a change in behavior after she provided the address. She asked for instance if the manager was going to contact us still today and the answer was "hum-hum", with a disdain flavor to it. I hope it's not the case but someone could think that they carry a "black" list of customers they don't want to service anymore just because they got bad reviews from them in the past.

We had a really positive experience. They were very actually all three, we had an electrician come out and he was very knowledgeable, got everything done quick, explained what he was doing. And even did a couple of things that we hadn't asked originally, he just did them and got them done fast. It was about $100 an hour which is pretty reasonable for an electrician out here.

It went great and wonderful. He found a whole bunch of trash on one of the plates, the intake pipe from the furnace was full of seeds from the ground squirrel, so he borrowed my vacuum cleaner, put it on blower and blew the pipe out and everything was fine. The guy was great and he had a wonderful demeanor.

Action Plumbing Heating A/C and Electric Inc. they were here yesterday and today they are coming back. They came the first day within the same day service. They are really knowledgable and professional and also helpful so we are really happy.

I have Action Plumbing Heating A/C and Electric Inc service my reverse osmosis water system. While he was here he noticed that the pump for my irrigation system was leaking. He ordered the pump and came back in November to replace it. They do good work and I would recommend them.

I called this company because I had a plumbing emergency. They came within an hour of my call, and were professional, courteous and neat. They cleaned up after themselves, and did not charge me for the service call, just the billable hour, which I appreciated. I would use them for an emergency again. Not sure about planned work. Their rates might be a little high. A hundred dollars to unplug a toilet that took one tool and 20 minutes seemed like a lot to me. On the other hand, they came immediately and did not charge me the other $80 just for the drive time.
