They responded very quickly and came promptly. The work was excellent and the price reasonable.

The job was very professionally done. It wasn't done extremely quickly, but within a reasonable amount of time. What we paid and what the electric company said we should pay was higher, but we were told we needed new wiring to the box. The job itself was done professionally and right. I would hire them again, but establish a price up front first.

Prior to moving in to a home we'd purchased, we decided to invest in a generator. Having had previous experience with a portable Generac unit, we also found they were the leader in the home generator market, designing and manufacturing their own engines for the type of service they're used in. Other electricians offered other generators but Generac seemed to be the best unit Stauber Electric was the only auth. Generac dealer in the area, so we called them to visit and discuss the project.. Owner John Stauber arrived and did a site survey and discussed our needs. Rather than a "whole-house" system, we decided on a "select circuits" system reducing the size of the generator a bit. They put down base pads for it to rest on, did all the wiring and installation, and final testing of the system. It self-tests itself every Thursday at 4pm and we've never had any problems with it. The installers did a great job--the wiring and cable routing was neat and they cleaned the area where they worked. Since then we've had Stauber back to do several other wiring projects and each time they've done a great job. Stauber is highly recommended!

I suggested them to my neighbor (who is also my client since I have her house listed for sale). To sell a home you almost to have 100 amp service and her being a widow I was hesitant on who would not take advantage of her. Stauber Electric has been great and when we had some follow up questions (since we got an offer on the house!) John was right there to answer them.

They are very professional, prompt, high quality work. They have been in business for many years so they do a great job. They are a little, more on more expensive line, I haven’t used any other electric company, they are more on the high end but I like them because if there is any problem or anything they will right in. They also do a lot of my commercial work. I have a retail business; if I have problem in my business they are right there and in an hour or so usually. They did their part when they needed to do it.

The electricians came on time with copies of the inspection report highlighting all the issues. They checked all other wiring that was exposed in the basement to ensure there were not any safety issues not identified by the inspection report. I changed the original work date since the appliances were going to be delivered earlier due to a mix-up and I needed the electrical work done to replace the gas with electric service. Stauber said they would accommodate the changes to the schedule. The guys were fantastic. There was so much security set-up in this vacation home that made it difficult to figure out what switch worked what. The ceiling fan in the livingroom did not have a switch to turn it on. The light in the ceiling fan was set to go on at a certain time each day but there was no switch to shut off the light or to turn on the fan. We had some good laughs together while they were working on some of the strange issues on the inspection report. My parents showed up to help me move in and they can be quite a distraction for anyone working in their presence. The electricians took it all in stride and answered the numerous questions from my Dad before I could pull Dad away from them. If I would have had the work done in Sun Prairie where our primary home is I would have paid probably twice as much since the guys were working for two days at our house in Sturgeon Bay.
