Sloppy inspection report in comparison to others and every one he does he says there are structural problems (even though he is not an engineer). Each time an engineer or architect had to be hired to prove there was not structural problems.

After our offer on a home in Door County was accepted, we started asking around about home inspectors. After interviewing several companies, we decided on Source Building Services (Dave Hoffman) because of his hands-on, practical knowledge of home construction, something we felt set Source far and above other companies. From day one, Source had our back as he discovered numerous things requiring attention--some quite serious. We also had Dave do a full radon test at additional cost (same as all the other home inspection companies) that uncovered another serious problem (remediated before the purchase). In the end, it truly was Dave's construction experience that helped uncover problems that were all solved by the seller before purchase. Dave will not do work related to things he finds need repair during an inspection, but we have since hired him to do a number of other non-inspection-related projects here and have been *very* satisfied with his work and prices. If you need a good home inspection, Source Building Service has your back and will do a good job.
