I recommend them to anyone who wants a skilled team of professional painters with multiple talents (all three have carpentry expertise). Surface preparation and repairs were done well and quickly. The paint selection and application was flawless. I am thoroughly satisfied with the work. If you are considering any painting project do your self a favor and contact this company. Make them at least one of your potential providers. I believe you will be happy to include them in your consideration and ---- you will get a quick and professional response so you can move forward with your plans.

I could not have been more pleased with the work Tom & his crew did. They were on time both days, very professional and answered all of my questions. They also cleaned everything up each day. I thought the cost was very good for the work they did. They worked very hard & I don't think they took any breaks. Very, very impressed with the whole job. My master bedroom looks awesome!!

Tom was very cordial and prompt when I requested a quote. He worked within our given schedule to set-up a work date. He was made post-demolition visits to finalize his quote and to make sure there were no surprises that would cause additional cost. His crew member, Billy, was very professional and completed the work on-time and at a high-degree of quality. Tom maintained contact with us throughout the work day and was present when the job was complete to go over what was done. He even offered painting tips, which was appreciated. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work done and how friendly, approachable and professional Tom was to work with. I would absolutely hire him again.

Tom and his crew were wonderful to work with! We had 6 painting contractors come in to give us a quote for painting the walls and ceilings in most of our house. While Tom's price was in the middle of the pack his attention to detail, responsiveness, and personality put him high above the rest. Since I work from home and would be around while the painters were here, I wanted someone who I felt comfortable in my house with me. Although Tom isn't on-site all day, his company was small enough that I felt as though anyone he hired had to be people he would get along with and that made me comfortable. After the quote, Tom came by one more time to help finalize the color selection. I already knew the general color scheme, but needed some help making my final decisions and Tom was great. He was able to understand the look and feel that I was going for and helped finalize the color. For scheduling, I had told Tom we weren't in a hurry, but he had said he'd be able to start within the next month. I informed him of some dates we weren't available and Tom kept me up-to-date with approximate start dates. He called me the week before the start date to finalize everything and we agreed on a date and time. Tom and his crew showed up on-time the first day (and every day thereafter). We did one more walkthrough to confirm what color was going on what wall (we were doing three different colors) and Tom talked it over with the two folks who were going to be our painters. While we had already done the majority of the prep work, we hadn't taken done our TV or blinds (we weren't sure how to take them down). While most of the other contractors had asked us to do that ourselves, Tom and his team were happy to help us with it. The four days that it took for them to complete all of the painting were wonderful. They showed up promptly ay 7:30 every day and stayed until 6 or 6:30 every night (except for the final night) to make sure they got to a good stopping place and had time to clean up. Tom came every morning to check in on the progress, discuss the plan for the day, and, he stayed for anywhere from 2 hours to half a day doing some painting himself. Every day, they would put down drop cloths and pick them back up every night. They also made sure the main living areas were liveable at the end of every day-for instance, making sure the TV was able to go back up at the end of the first day. Also, since my cat was not here for the first 3 days, they prioritized getting his room done and ready for him. They were polite and made me feel comfortable, although I knew it must've been a bit odd for them to have a homeowner here the whole time they were around. The end result was wonderful! They patched several holes, bumps, and nail pops. Even with the textured walls, I can't tell where they made the patches! We are putting up chair rail in our dining room and the line that they made was pretty good, even though they knew we would be covering it up. I consider myself pretty picky and I was impressed with everything. I know with textured walls it can be difficult to get good cut lines, but they did an outstanding job! There were a couple of minor touch-ups needed and, after contacting Tom, he made a plan to come over the next week (after I had a bit more time to look for additional touch-ups). He not only touched up areas that needed more paint, but even drips and some other uneven spots that I couldn't imagine him being able to touch-up, he did by sanding, filling, and repainting it. I couldn't tell where the issues were now. My husband and I were looking for a painter that we could call whenever we have future projects without having to call in a bunch of people for quotes and we definitely found him! Tom offers a 10% discount during his slow months and I've been coming up with a list of things that he can do during that time.

Tom was very responsive to my initial inquiry for an estimate. He worked with our schedule and provided his estimate within 24 hours. His quote was competitive, and better yet, he was able to work within our tight time schedule. Tom made sure he understood our needs and concerns about work to be done and the timing of the work. He made helpful suggestions, many of which we incorporated into the work. The job was completed on time and per the estimate. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and Tom's follow-up to ensure our satisfaction. I would definitely use the services of Tom and his team in the future.

Tom and his crew did an excellent job with all the work. He is an honest, fair man and does his job to perfection. A few weeks after the painting, we asked him to come back to touch up a spot, and even after I had forgotten about it, he contacted me to tell me he was available. He had it done the next day. This is the first time that we have used Tom, but certainly will not be the last! He will be who we call for our next project!

A few years ago Tom painted our exterior trim and did a great job. In September he repaired some drywall in our ceiling that had been damaged by a plumbing leak. Tom did a great job with the drywall repair and repainting. We will definitely hire him again! He responded quickly to our request, showed up when he said he'd be here, and got the work done quickly and with no mess. He's great to work with--friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our next door neighbors have had Tom do a lot of their painting too, and they highly recommended him to us.

we can't say enough good stuff about tom and billy and their work. they are consummate professionals and they both take immense pride in doing their jobs expertly and conducting their business to the highest standard in all that they do. their workmanship and craftsmanship are truly beautiful. they come when they say they will, they get their work done when they say they will, they communicate everything clearly and regularly, and they strive to ensure that their customers are happy with the work that they do. they even tidy up after themselves like it's their own home. they paint cleanly and with precision. such tidy and beautiful lines between paint and woodwork and trim. and they take the time to do the requisite prep work. this is a paint job that is going to last and it will hold up to years of abuse in our busy household. the history of our project: before we found tom via angie's list, we had trouble finding a contractor willing or able to do our painting and refinishing project. tom was one of only a handful of contractors willing to even bid on our project. our project was messy and difficult, but ultimately i think both tom and billy saw the value in restoring our old kitchen cabinets to their former glory, and they seemed to be excited by the challenge of a little historic restoration. the project itself: we asked tom to take over a diy nightmare project that we had clumsily started on our own--stripping and refinishing our vintage 1954 kitchen cabinets--and he and billy are now our beautifully-restored-vintage-kitchen heroes!! they took a pile of badly stripped cabinets and doors with varying amounts of old paint still stuck in the grain of the wood and they made magic happen! they painstakingly removed layers of paint. they cleaned, sanded and repainted the interiors of the cabinets with a durable enamel. they stained and sealed the kitchen cabinets, framework and trim. and they painted the walls and ceiling in the kitchen and dining room. they crafted and hung a long shelf in the dining room. they put new hardware on and rehung the cabinets. special qualities tom and billy brought to the project: tom and billy both know a lot about their craft. they were familiar with the time period of our kitchen and they knew how to go about achieving a period-appropriate restoration of the cabinets. tom and billy were able to expertly handle the inherent challenges posed by old wooden cabinets. they were able to work with the cabinets to hide imperfections and bring out their natural beauty. when we changed our mind about a few details (paint and shelving changes etc.) mid-project, tom handled the changes with patience and aplomb. when our elderly neighbor accidentally backed into tom's new truck, tom handled the situation with courtesy, tact, and decency. he didn't get angry or upset, and he was unfailingly kind to our neighbor. talk about grace under pressure!!! tom helped connect us with other professionals to get other aspects to our project completed. ultimately tom saw our commitment to saving and restoring our kitchen and he put together a highly competent team (tom and billy) to help us achieve our goal.

It went really well. Tom called me back in a timely way. He was very busy but fitted me in. I was very grateful as we were in a hurry. He came when he said he would and worked fast but carefully. Pleased all the way around.

We could not be happier with Tom's work. The recent painting job had unusual challenges - including old 1890's stone walls, concrete floors, and timbers. Tom is a perfectionist, particularly when it comes to prep work. There was an film on the concrete floors - some residue of a long ago surface treatment - that was very difficult to remove. Tom and crew worked extremely hard - multiple washes and products - to get the floor to a clean starting point where paint would bond to floor. I think most painting contractors would have painted over and hoped for the best. Tom is very nice and an easy person to have in the house during work.

This is the fourth time I have used TL Home Finishing. Good people, excellent workmanship. You cannot go wrong hiring Tom for painting, trim etc.

Tom and his crew were extremely professional, prompt and courteous. He emailed me the proposal, and they showed up on time every day. He asked that I move minor knick-knacks in my living room but other than that they did everything else. Even though they had to fix the drywall, there wasn't a speck of dust left in my living room (which has hardwood floors so I would have seen it). GREAT JOB. I would definitely recommend this company again.

I initially contracted Tom Lulinski (T.L. Home Finishing, Inc) to finish painting the master bedroom in my condo. I needed someone to paint the ceiling, found Tom's business on the internet and sent an email inquiry. Tom called me before the end of the day and a couple of days after that he came to the condo, gave me an estimate and painted the ceiling in no time flat. I asked if he could install an interior door to the guest bedroom which involved finding and ordering a door, framing the doorway, drywall and painting. He said "of course" and put together a detailed proposal for me with a reasonable price tag. I simply do not have enough superlatives to describe his handling of the project. Tom did a superb job of keeping me informed about finding the door, when he would do the job and other details. The workmanship on the final product is outstanding. He and his helper were the best and most personable providers I've ever contracted. I am 100% pleased with their work and highly recommend Tom for any and all interior painting and interior door/drywall jobs. Two thumbs up!

My experience was very good. They are excellent. I would hire him again in a minute. The quality of his work was very high, very polite, and knew a lot about stucco.

They project went very well, ive been using his services on and off for years.

It had been a long time since my house and the shed had been painted, so there was a lot of loose paint and prep work was significant. Tom tested for lead and described the required procedures before starting. I have a number of perennial plantings around my house and we discussed ways to protect them both in advance and while the work was in progress. I expected casualties but it looks like all of the plants will be fine. The estimate given for the work was right on target for both cost and time. The work took a week, with staff arriving when expected and working steadily until quitting time. At the end of the day, all materials were cleaned up and stored neatly in the garage. Tom Lulinski was on site most of the time and very attentive to making sure his team was doing things to his specifications. The work was very well done, clearly the work of professionals. Communication with me throughout the project was excellent. I would definitely recommend this company.

They were good and provided good service. It was estimate at $1000 but it costed a little less; It was covered by our insurance because we had the depreciation clause in our insurance. They are like our local handymen as a matter of fact our insurance company gave us a recommendation for him. They were excellent.

Thomas and his employee Dave did a great job. This is the third time I have us TL Home Finishing and there is no second guessing my decision to use them whenever possible. They are very detailed orientated and care. Every day they made sure the house was put back together enough as to not interfere with our lives. They cleaned up and moved things back if needed. There were plenty of unexpected gotchas on this project but Thomas does what it takes to complete the project on-time. Their workmanship and quality are second to none. Bottom line is if you are doing anything involving paint or stain let these pros deal with it, you won't be disappointed.

Tom was able to come in on the afternoon after we closed on a new house. We thought we would need 3 rooms painted, but after seeing the house again, I decided that we would need to paint the front entrance and two more rooms. Tom was very helpful with choosing colors and flexible when I asked to add the other rooms. I was only in town for a day and trying to get a few things fixed up. Tom even helped me with a few of these jobs! I left Tom a key and he and his team spent a couple more days finishing up. Overall it was a great experience! Tom came in at his estimated price even though we tried several colors in a room before choosing the final color and after the wall paper removal turned out to be very difficult. He was even able to refinish some of our wood doors! I would highly recommend Tom and will use his services in the future.

Tom was fast with response to our request, gave us a detailed and prompt quote and worked hard to fit our schedule. At first the sticker price was intimidating, but there isn't a minute that we regret our investment with Tom. He treated our home as if it was his own, gave very helpful input with decision making and by the time we had to leave town for extended travel, we were more than comfortable with him finishing up the project as discussed in our absence. He was thoughtful in all he approached and did a tremendous job down to rehanging our blinds for us since we were out of town and asking if he should turn down the air conditioner in our absence. The only unfortunate bit is that our house has now been painted and we won't have a lot of indoor projects to give him in our home in the near future. There is always the exterior down the road. It's rare to find people who treat your home like it's their home. Tom is one of those people. We had deteriorating paint on two window frames in our new (old) home, and we have a toddler. We were anxious that the paint might be lead-based, so we called Tom. As you might expect from his reviews, he is very busy. However, he made the time for our small job, described his safety protocol, pricing, gave us options, scheduled us in, showed up when he said he would, and was professional and friendly. AND he did a great job. The final bill was the same as the estimate, and he cleaned up after he was finished (Man, did he clean up! Not a paint chip or dust particle in sight.) Our window frames look great, and my kiddo is safe.

Tom was awesome. He was professional, punctual and got the job done on time. He worked around our schedule and appeared to be really invested on having the job turn out well. He offered us suggestions on the initial consultation and was very clear about time required for job and price. I think when you look at our basement paint job, Tom's work speaks for itself. He is very detailed and knows his stuff. The basement turned out better then we thought and his painting appeared flawless. I think his 20 years of work experience has made him a great painter and a great person to do business with. The money was well spent and I would hire Tom again in a heart beat.
