Tom and his team are fantastic! We initially received a quote from another painter that was recommended by a friend, but we decided to get an estimate from Tom because of his reviews on Angie's List. After meeting with Tom, who was a little bit pricier than our other quote, we chose to go with him because of his professionalism and expertise. When I asked if he could add crown molding in our home, Tom consulted against it because he thought our ceilings were too low. When we decided to hold off on scheduling the painters because we wanted to finish some electrical work, Tom was patient with us and even came back to re-do the estimate since we weren't sure how much it would cost to repair the holes the electrician made. Tom was also very patient with us as we figured out colors for our home and when we described what kind of finish we wanted, he referred us to a Benjamin Moore paint finish we didn't even know existed. What really blew us away with the service was that after we had new carpets installed in our home, we noticed that the trim that was painted in some rooms was uneven because the old carpet was taller. Tom sent James to fix the trim and while I thought he would just paint the spots that were showing the old paint, James sanded and repainted all the trim! My father-in-law was so impressed with James' work that he couldn't stop saying how great the painters we chose for our home were. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Tom and his team again. (We actually already did ask them to come back to fix a bathroom after they painted the majority of our house) and would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is a quality operation, and we definitely plan to use them again. Tom is courteous, fair, punctual and very professional. Another contractor had cut out a 2' x 4' section out of the curved ceiling above our bathtub for insulation. It was very tricky to patch, and Tom did it himself. It looks seamless--actually better than it did before anything was cut out. Tom's crew is terrific as well. We're so happy with the work.

Originally found this company on Angie?s List. Interior painting of 1,900 square feet apartment in a 14-year old building. Also patched and filled all nail holes. Was meticulous and very conscious about cleanliness. They took down and re-installed window shades and glass shelving to paint. They did a great job. Open lines of communication. Was efficient and very professional. Listened to my instructions about what to paint and what rooms/closets to leave alone. On their last work day, they were flexible enough to accommodate painting a kitchen wall that I had originally reserved for tile work. There were no surprises or hiccups that caused any problems or delays. I would definitely use this company again.

Plastering and interior painting of all of a 1,400 square foot home that had not been painted since 1997. I worked with the owner Tom Lulinski and his team of 3 painters. Since the job was a big one and one that was quoted back in Nov 2015, Tom did a walk-through w/ me again before the job formally started in Jan 2016. Tom met with me again when the job was completed to make sure all work was done to my satisfaction. I appreciated the time Tom took to listen and understand what I wanted and to deliver upon that. With my approval, Tom used a lockbox to enter/exit a house I recently moved out of. Use of a lockbox meant that the painters could let themselves in early and leave late, as needed. The painters had 2 pairs of shoes (1 pair of boots for regular winter commuting & outdoor use, and 1 pair of shoes for indoor work) to keep the house?s hardwood floors dry & clean, which is not an easy feat in WI?s winter. Tom had even arrived to the house very early one morning with the intent of shoveling a path after an overnight snowfall, to reduce the amount of snow tracked into the house. Over the course of a week, Tom kept in close touch with how the work was coming along and gave me regular text updates (start dates, finish dates, how I wanted to handle 3 forgotten closets that needed painting, etc.) which I appreciated. In addition to plastering and painting, they installed new pleated window shades and fire alarms, and they re-installed bathroom, kitchen and closet shelving fixtures that were taken down to paint. They did a great job plastering and using drywall throughout the house. Floor cloths, vacuuming and Swifters were clearly used. I can?t stress enough how communication was very clear, timely and professional. Tom listened carefully to my instructions to not paint any original exposed woodwork or metal fixtures (trim, shelves, hooks, pushbutton switch plates, etc.) He conveyed these instructions perfectly to his team. Repaired plaster and a fresh coat of paint are just what was needed. I?m wondering why I didn?t have them do this work sooner. If I had known the house would look this good and the process would be so easy, I would have had Tom and his team do the work years earlier.

I contacted Thomas to paint my hallway and one wall in my great room that goes all the way to my ceiling because I just don't have the time or the equipment to do it. Thomas came and looked over the entire area, made some really excellent suggestions and told me I would have a quote the next day. I was counting on having the job done by the 21st of November when I am hosting a large dinner party. I received the quote the next day. Thomas had pointed out some repairs that would need to be made in addition to painting, so the quote included that, the paint, and the labor. I thought the quote was very reasonable and confirmed I wanted to hire the service. Thomas managed to work me into the schedule and got the job completed on time. The crew was great- very professional and timely and the job looks FANTASTIC!!! I am SO happy with their work- they left the area very clean- in fact cleaner than when they started! I would definitely hire them again. Can't wait to hear all the compliments from my dinner party guests!

Tom and his crew completed two separate painting jobs for us. From the onset (responded to my email inquiry for estimate within 12 hrs) to the completion of both the interior and exterior painting Tom and his crew were personable, responsible, and extremely competent. The materials used were outstanding and the prep work exceptional. During the exterior work, the crew discovered several areas of cedar siding that had extensive rotting that couldn't be repaired with simple filler, etc. On a time and materials basis, Tom and crew repaired the siding and replaced some of the cedar siding with creative use of design. The cost of the unexpected repairs was about half what I had expected it to be. I've considerable experience with home repair, remodeling, painting, etc. having been a home owner for almost 50 yrs. This was by far, the best experience, overall, I've ever had. I believe, in large, due to the fine personal and professional qualities of the crew doing the work. There was minimal disruption to daily living during the painting and the crew cleaned up before leaving for the day. Of great importance to me, was that care be taken to not damage the hundreds of perennials and other landscape plantings around the exterior of the house. Tom walked through the exterior of the house before the service began. Together, we strategized how best to protect the plantings. Outstanding results! As important to Tom and his crew as doing an excellent job of prep and painting, was after care. Minor touch up was needed in an exterior siding ... Tom arrived within an hour of my texting him. Also, after I had signed off on the interior painting, the crew noticed that a ceiling seam repair wasn't up to their standards. At no extra cost, the crew re-did the seam with excellent results. This was a difficult seam to repair as several fixes had evidently been done in the past during remodeling. It is possible that the total cost of the painting service was more than standard house painting, but the quality of the prep work both inside and out was far superior to any I've seen/received in past hires. Also, the materials used were of top quality, something my husband and I ask for knowing that the end results will be excellent and enduring. I'd be happy to serve as a reference for Tom and his crew.

Tom was great to work with. He originally stopped by for a quote and quickly ran through the few areas we were looking at. We were going through a kitchen remodel and just wanted to get a second quote. His walk through was quick but professional. Noting all the little bumps, chips, or repairs that may be required. We picked out the paint color and Tom took care of getting all of it organized and setup. The day of service, Tom and his painter both arrived on time, and started to move the furniture to a center location. Covering all the furniture and the flooring. The painting went great and they were done in about a day and a half. Because of the size of the room and the few repairs, we estimated about 2 days so not bad at all. They cleaned everything up, put all the furniture back, and we did a walk through. The entire service went very smooth

It went very well. Tom and his crew did a fabulous job in all respects. The painting went well. They recommended a certain kind of paint that would work best for the room and exterior. Their drywall repair was absolutely masterful. There was no sign of patchwork at all. I told the fellow who did it (forgot his name) he was an artist. I will indeed use them again.

Tom was very timely in his replies to email as well as his promptness of arrival for the job. He was thorough and reasonable in his quote. His crew cleaned up nicely and did a great job. The plaster bedroom walls are 107 years old, and we never imagined they could look as good as they do now. We have hired Tom for a few more projects in the coming months. We would highly recommend Tom and his crew to anyone looking for a paint contractor. He starts and ends with great customer service, he is very personable and professional.

I can't say enough good things about Tom and his team (Billy, Alex, and Grant) and the work they did on our home. It was a true transformation. From helping us think through exterior paint colors to troubleshooting issues with our 111-year old home, Tom and the team were always helpful, friendly, accommodating, and professional. In addition to being amazing painters and carpenters, they were great problem solvers and offered solutions that never felt pushy. Tom was always on time and communicated with us regularly, which can be rare in this industry and was MUCH appreciated. We would definitely hire them again.

Tom did an excellent job. He helped choose the perfect color and a fade resistant paint. He and his painters were very knowledgeable and friendly. Because there were 28 shutters to paint and 3 inside doors, Tom was able to work out a price that was very acceptable to me. There were no drips or mistakes. They arrived on time and worked diligently to get the job done. I am very pleased with the results and the house looks 100% better. The transacation was awesome!!! The accomodated my tight schedule - the job was completed in less time then quoted and charged for only the time used. Communication was great!!!! the room looks awesome. I will be calling them to do some painting for menext summer too!!!

Tom responded quickly to my request for a quote. He was professional and on time. They fit me in the schedule and the painter did a fantastic job.

Tom is very responsive from the first contact and throughout the job. He is anxious to do a great job and he did. He and his co-worker, Billy, came over on the start date and we all agreed on what needed to be done. Then Billy got to work and did a beautiful job patching the bathroom ceiling wallboard plus lots of big and small areas in the living room. He patched places I wasn't aware needed patching. Then he painted the walls and the 60-year old walls look new again. A beautiful job. Tom came over several times during the job to make sure I was happy with the job's progress. He didn't need to as Billy is just as detail-oriented as is Tom. They are punctual, clean, fast and cheerful. I will hire them again.

Tom and his team are true, skilled professionals. Every step of the process we were confident in their expertise and workmanship. It was an especially challenging job as the wallpaper in our foyer was improperly installed(without prep) about 18 years ago. Tom and his team spent several days on this room alone. They took the time and effort needed, in addition to a lot of good humor to make the entryway beautiful. We won't hesitate to recommend Lulinski Home Finishings to others, and already have plans to have them return to our home for additional work.

It is difficult to express how pleased we are with Tom and his crew, Billy and Alex. They were professional in every way, very pleasant and easy to deal with, always on time, knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job. They started the project on a Tuesday and worked straight through to the following Tuesday, including, with our agreement, Saturday and Sunday and on several days they worked for 10+ hours. Billy and Alex did the painting, itself, but Tom stopped by at least once a day to check on things and see if we had any questions or concerns. All three were helpful in advising on some of the decisions to be made. We had several changes after we gave the job to Tom and he was more than fair in pricing for those changes. If anything, he probably did not charge additional in cases where it certainly could have. A large part of the project was painting the woodwork which was stained oak and very grainy. They sanded it enough to remove the shiny surface, and then put on a base coat and two finished coats. They did such a great job that it is difficult to even see the grain any more unless one looks closely. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work was complete including vacuuming and washing all of the windows. They also did an excellent job of keeping things clean while the work was in progress. In short, they exceeded our expectations in every way and we love the new look they gave us!

Tom was super nice, professional, honest and punctual. He explained in detail what he was going to do and wrote up the bid with the details included, separating out the rooms with the price so we could pick and choose what we wanted to have done. No surprises or hidden charges. He went out of his way to change his schedule a few times to meet the tenants schedule. He is certified to remove areas of lead paint, seal and repaint. He was sympathetic of our needs as well, as at the time he was to do the job we had a serious family health issue. He and his crew did an excellent job of sealing off rooms to avoid lead dust from spreading, repairing the walls and ceilings where lead paint was pealing and then repainting the rooms. We were a little leery of working with another painting contractor after having a horrid experience with another large painting firm (that has an A rating on Angie's List) just a few months prior to hiring Tom. What a different experience it was working with Tom compared to the other company. We recommend him highly and will use him again in the future for all our painting needs.

Tom arrived on time, inspected the poor work, and within a day I had an estimate for how much it would cost to repair the poor work.

Tom and his crew did an outstanding job! From our first contact with him, Tom was responsive, timely, and extremely helpful. We knew we wanted everything painted but didn't have a lot of ideas about colors. Tom was very helpful in making suggestions and sharing ideas. He sent us an estimate within 24 hours of visiting with us. To be honest, I didn't have other estimates for comparison but Tom's reviews were so positive, the quote was within our budget and he made us feel so comfortable we decided to work with him. It was a good decision. We were able to schedule the work very quickly. In addition to painting, the guys repaired every little wall dent, nail pop and scratch throughout the whole house - and after 15 years, there were plenty! We also had them remove two light fixtures and install new ones, which included some repair work (all included in the price). They got it all done in FOUR days! I was amazed and it looks absolutely perfect! We found a couple of small spots a couple days later that needed touch up. I contacted Tom and he was here the next morning and had everything done the same day. His workers were friendly, professional and courteous. They even offered to feed our cats when they knew we were going to be out of the house for a night - not an offer I normally receive from people working at my house! I won't hesitate to use Tom in the future and would recommend him without reservation.

They were contientious about keeping the carpet clean, cleaning up after themselves and his price was phenomenally lower than everyone else. He was quite adamant that that price, after getting all these bids that were 2-3 times higher than his, we told him if you run into something we would be willing to pay more and he said oh no. This is my bid, I stand behind it and that is what I will charge you. He was good.

Tom and his crew did great, thorough work. The paint looks fantastic and I was blown away by how quickly the guys got the trim cut and installed. We were going to cut and install it ourselves but I'm so glad we didn't; it would have take us 10 times longer and wouldn't have looked nearly as good! They were also really understanding and considerate of my 1 yeah old who was in the house for most of the work.
