Thomas is a great painter. This time he brought in a second pair of hands to get the job done quicker (Eric) and he is an outstanding painter as well. They do an excellent job protecting the floors, trim, etc when they work and well this is the second time I've had them back and that alone should speak highly of his work. I am planning to have him back in summer-time to stain my deck. You won't go wrong using Thomas Lulinski for your painting needs.

We have nothing but accolades for this company. Tom showed up when he said he would and we walked through the scope of the project which essentially required a complete repair and painting of the interior walls and ceiling of our home. Tom provided practical suggestions (which we ended up following) and provided us with a timely estimate just as he said he would. The improvements to the appearance of our home was spectacular which is no surprise considering their painstaking prep work and attention to detail. Tom was a great communicator throughout the project and was always professional and punctual. We liked his work so much that we ended up using Lulinski Home Finishing to paint the exterior of our home and were just as pleased. Tom also did some carpentry work which was also of the highest quality. We wouldn't hesitate to use Lulinski Home Finishing again for any remodeling/painting needs. A great experience and a great price for the quality of the work.

Tom is fairly priced, punctual, courteous and above all professional. Do not hesitate when considering his services. He's very versatile, creative and client accommodating. You will get a first rate experience and will have no hesitation in hiring him again. He's also a great guy, despite the fact that he's a White Sox fan ;)

Tom was responsive from day one. He quickly came out for an estimate and was right on time. His quote was very reasonable. He scheduled the work for the very next week, and came right on time when scheduled. He knocked out the project in just a couple of hours. I couldn't be happier with his work-product or his professionalism. He was a pleasure to do business with and I will call him again for future projects.

Tom is extremely punctual and pleasant to have around. He was helpful with ideas and advice from beginning to end. I had a great experience and was extremely impressed.

I actually found Tom here on Angie's list and chose him because he could do a variety of interior and exterior projects. I didn't want to have to deal with too many different people. I found it more efficient this way. He basically does the work himself, but did bring on others for some parts of the exterior painting. Exterior painting - did a great job. I don't like ladders so that's why I paid someone to paint this. Also, as it is an old house with wood siding I needed this well sealed from the elements. I think he went through 30 tubes of caulk and repaired the areas where the wood was rotting. Also he brought three different colors of paints that we chose and painted a small portion of the house so we could see which color would work best. You can never tell from the samples. I think the detail was excellent. Was he cheap - no not really but he was competitive. I had some other quotes higher and lower. But for the money it was well worth it. Interior Paining - I had him paint our family room. I painted the bedrooms myself, but the family room walls were in bad shape. This was part of an addition put on in the early 70's and the fit and finish on the trim and walls were terrible. Plus there was water damage on the ceiling due to ice dams and there were 7 round 4-inch diajeter holes put in the ceiling by an electrician. So I needed someone to make this look good. Looks real nice. The trim and doors - Again, in the newer part of the house nothing but cheap trim. I had him install oak trim to match the rest of the house. Tom did a wonderful job matching the stain that was around the window trim (which was put in last year by Pella). He did the staining and varnishing himself on these. The install job was well done. My walls are not particularly square, but he can bearly tell with the trim. I read this over and see that it is pretty much all positive. There were a few minor issues but these were addressed (such as my wife thinking that the bedroom door let in too much light from the hallway). And when you spend good money you expect a good job. But the bottom line is I got a great job done from someone who is easy to communicate with. One reason you pay for contractors is for their experience. I thought he gave very good advice. It was an overall positive experience. I would hire Tom again and probably will. (The closet shelfing was not part of the original scope, but I added that on at the very end. We are taking about redoing my fireplace mantel if it falls within my budget.) Note, this work was performed over a few month period so the service date is approximate date he finished the major portions of the work - he came back to finish things up after I had some other work done.

It went great. Tom helped us brainstorm ideas for the work we were to do. He helped pick up large items that we ordered from the store. He worked quickly. Very nice to work with. He cleaned up well afterwards. Always on time and available by phone. It was our first experience working with a contractor and he was great. He also pointed out that it would have been impossible and/or very costly to knock down a particular wall we wanted to clear out.

I can t say enough good things about this contractor! Everything he did was really well done, he went the extra mile to make sure it was all exactly as I wanted it. He was flexible and very easy and enjoyable to work with, on-time and quick to respond to questions, and very competent. The project was kept within the budget, both for the work he did directly and that done by the subcontractors. (Who were also prompt and competent). I am thrilled with the result.
