Smooth. It was easy to work with the crew: Austin and Joel. I'm a repeat customer, and each crew has been professional and great to work with.

The good parts: Crew arrived promptly as scheduled. Tree was removed in less than one day. Crew complied with my request to leave cut-up logs for use as firewood. Cost was competitive. The bad parts: Wide-spread collateral damage. Most importantly, the wooden steps under a sliding glass door were pulled away from the house and left propped up but unsecured, so that when the tenant arrived home, the entire staircase tilted sideways under her. Also, one of the treads was split along its full width. Additionally, the concrete walkway suffered a full-width crack. Furthermore, the lawn was seriously roughed up: numerous ruts in the lawn, turf scraped up by the bobcat in multiple areas, dead spots left alongside the place where a truck had been parked (looking as if left by urination), large amount of wood chips left behind after grinding out the stump. Landscape edging timbers along the driveway were damaged, as was some of my understory shrubbery. None of this destruction would have been a big deal to me had the owner been willing to talk about it. I left two voice mail messages, not returned, before I spoke with the receptionist, who said she had and would again would pass along my request to have Jim call me. That was two days ago, more than a full week since my first call, and I have heard nothing back. I call this inexcusable.

They arrived as scheduled and immediately got to work. It was over 70' tall and had limbs growing over utility lines and the house. The crew did an excellent job working around all the obstacles. At the end they offered some good suggestions on how to maintain the ground that was impacted by the stump grinder. I would definitely recommend this company and I plan on using them again! The quote was competitive to others. They were very courteous and safe. The quality really showed in their teamwork and skillsets.

We were initially disappointed that the man who came to give us an estimate didn't realize the magnolia was sick. But after that somewhat rocky start things improved 100%. The two young men who came to do the work were great: cheerful, careful, and very skilled. Because removing the magnolia (instead of just trimming it) was added to the day's work, they worked tirelessly in very not temps. We have gotten so many compliments on how the locust now looks! We were also impressed at the careful clean up job these two young men did after hours of work.

The estimator arrived on time for the appointment on Monday and the estimate was acceptable. I asked if he could tell me about how far out the job scheduling would be. He wasn't sure, but he thought it would be in the next two weeks. On Thursday, in the same week, the crew showed up and got right to work. The job was completed in a couple of hours. They did excellent work and also cleaned up very well. I couldn't be happier with the work.

We received 2 bids for this job; they were very professional in explaining how they would complete the job; they had the lower of the 2 bids. We told them there was no rush to get this job completed, yet they were able to schedule the following week. On the scheduled date, the 3-man crew arrived on time (8am) and worked until the job was completed. All the work completed to our satisfaction.

They were great. I had the estimate done last week and they were out today and he was there earlier than expected. I've used them before and would use them again without question.

Excellent, they were very professional and on-time with estimates and scheduling. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Communication was excellent (getting a visit for an estimate, pre-scheduling, and completing the job).

They referred to every tree in the back yard as a pine tree. There are numerous species of trees in the back yard, and, in fact,no need to refer to the species of the trees to be removed. A previous estimator had tied pink ribbons on the trees to be removed so there would be no ambiguity. Jim's, who has done much good work in the neighborhood before, promised to send out another estimator, but no one ever showed.

Everything was done to requirements. Jim's staff was friendly, and took time to discuss the requirements with me. They were conscientious of their environment, taking great care to prevent further damage to our home. I would recommend and/or employ Jim's Tree Service again.

A real live person answered my call on the first try, took my order and told me she'd call back later that evening to arrange exact deliver date sometime in next few days. She called that same evening (a Monday), as promised, and offered delivery on Wednesday morning. Delivery arrived as scheduled. Polite, thoughtful young man dumped it where we asked on driveway. My husband says the wood is excellent- large pieces and burns as he likes in the fireplace. We will definitely go back to Jim's.

Same experience as the last reviewer - called three times to set up an estimate and they never called me back. Too bad - I used them before and I was really happy with them. Look elsewhere for good service..

No way to do business. I left two voicemails on different days and no one ever bothered to return my call. Not happy.

After leaving a voice message on Saturday they called at 8:00 Monday morning. Estimate was done the next day. Scheduled cut for the following week. They arrived promptly. Two-man crew was professional, friendly and did a great job of cleaning up. Would definitely use again and have recommended them to others.

one was removed while I was at work and the cleanup was spectacular. Next few days, they trimmed my other tree and they were great.

Estimator came out to give me an estimate of the removal of 4 trees that were in difficult areas to access ( power lines, wet areas). I let them know I was flexible as far as the removal date but that I'd like to get it done before the ground softened. They called back and said they could do it the next day. The crew arrived and got right to work. They did a great job and it was a pleasure to see them work. They cleaned up all the larger branches out of the snow and did a great job grinding out the stumps. Am planning to call them again for future work.

The team came on schedule and performed the work requested. However, I am happy I was overseeing the project because they might not have paid attention to the other trees around like my ornamentals. They also were a bit less concerned of the lawn and rain garden. Putting boards down on the grass might have kept it from getting all chewed up. If you employ them, make sure you are watching what is happening with the rest of your plantings.

Very satisfied...would highly recommend Jim's! Had them before for tree removal and tree planting! Satisfied then and satisfied now!

It went very well. The temperatures here have been in the 100's for weeks on end. Stump grinding is a very dirty and miserable job in this weather, and I greatly appreciate every minute these hard working men spent here. They did a nice job and the price was extremely reasonable. I tried to contact Jim's to take this tree down originally but their email link or account is faulty; kept shooting the emails back to me as undeliverable. Then I was told, by others, that I needed to hire a and quot;climberand quot; to remove this huge tree because of property damage and tight quarters. Which I did. This silver maple covered three properties [mine and two neighbors]. 70 ft tall and out 40-50 ft in all directions. VERY pleased with Jim's Tree Service.

They did a good job. The main people that work for the company were really good and helpful. They knew what they were doing and knowledgeable. They charged per hour and it was nice. I would use them again.

The service was great and he was a wonderful provider. He came and did the work he said he was going to do.

They were prompt and they figured out a way to take the trees out without damaging anything.

They did a nice job. They came exactly when they said and did exactly what they were supposed to do. They charged about what other people charge so the price was average. The people were friendly and it worked out nice. They cleaned up. They came out when they were supposed to but they couldn't work that day because of my cement guy so they scheduled another day so they were very flexible.

I know them and my kid who runs a computer business works with Jim. I spent about $500 for the tree removal and probably about and 70 for the tree installation. The estimate process and everything worked out fine. I went through the estimate process like everybody else. He just did good work.

They did an excellent job. They took out a huge boxelder tree and then we recommended them to the neighbors and another tree had to come out and they were both probably forty foot trees. Overall, the job went really well. The only thing I can say that went wrong with it was that I did not ask them to get rid of the stump but I don't really blame them for that. They were really good. They were competent. They did what they were going to do and did it the way we wanted it. We wanted the tree to be carried out and they did that. That is why their work was good. They came out just like how I would expect. I would use them again if needed.
