After the tune up he walked me through everything he saw and explained items I should watch for in the future. He was extremely patient and plesant with my mundane questions. I would definitely use Clark Heating again.

+ -1 moreCame out to do inspection of furnace as part of a Big Deal. Found two cracks that were not noticed during inspection before purchase, as well as an easily remedied issue with the humidifier. They did a temporary fix but we're now waiting on a part for repair. They called last week to check in and inform me they're still waiting for the part to come in, which I appreciated. Overall very professional.

+ -1 moreCalled for an appointment on December 7. The woman who took my call was professional and pleasant. We agreed on a date and she said the service technician would arrive between 8 and 8:30 on the scheduled date. Jeremy arrived at 8am sharp. After showing him to the furnace, I asked if I could watch and if he could talk he through what he was doing. He graciously obliged and answered all of my questions and more! He was personable and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I am not very good about regular maintenance, but Jeremy made a sound case for it without trying to oversell. I appreciated his honesty. I will be calling Clark Heating & Cooling for my A/C tune-up in the spring/summer and they will be first on my list to call if I ever have any issues with the furnace or A/C in my house.
Description of Work: Pre-season Furnace Check. Took readings from gas and electrical components of furnace. Replaced filter, which I supplied. Thoroughly vacuumed accumulated dust inside unit and cleaned out a few tubes.

Description of Work: They did a furnace tune up and replaced the wick in the humidifier. The serviceman did not have the correct wick and had to go back to shop for the right one. No extra charge. I feel that their work was of excellent quality and value.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. He first took the furnace apart and cleaned things up. When he was done, he called me downstairs where he pointed things out and discussed possible future problems. My furance is 23 years old. He told me it had a few good years and I would probably need another one. Did not pressure me to purchase a new one but did discuss that newer models are more efficient.
Description of Work: He performed a check of my furance. Did a very thorough job and explained any issues or problems I might encounter in the future. He was very knowledgeable. He was right on time.

The service provider was courteous/professional and seemed to go the extra mile to do a good job, including that he clearly cleaned a section of the air conditioner which our prior provider did not. Description of Work: PM for forced air furnace and boiler systems. Jeremy (the technician) found problems left behind by other technicians and corrected them. Also installed a wet switch, corrected air intake venting and blower motor speed. Wonderful experience and highly recomended.

+ -1 moreDiscovered a cracked chamber in the furnace during a routine furnace cleaning. Clark heating was very responsive in repairing the furnace, the NEXT day.
Description of Work: Originally they were scheduled for a furnace cleaning and tune up. The technician discovered a crack in one of the chambers in the furnace. He said it was a CO risk so the furnace would have to be shut down. Clark heating were very responsive in quickly scheduling someone to come out the next day for repair. Excellent service, and would highly recommend.

+ -1 moreHe arrived exactly on time. He went to thefurnace, cheked the hose (which had once plugged with sediment) to see if it was okay. He than began checking the functioning of the furnace. This year I was busy with another remodeling company representative who arrived shorly after Jeremy so I was not able to stay with Jeremy to watch him work (which I find interesting).
Description of Work: Jeremy arrived on time. He did checked my furnace in the past. Once again he did a thorough check, seemed competent, and was courteous.

My calls to the main office to schedule the appointments (I've used them for the last two years) were pleasant, and I found the scheduler to be very accommodating of my scheduling limitations. The staff arrived just when they said they would and completed the work in the timeframe that was originally provided to me. They were knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and provided recommendations to me for the future. I also found them to be personable and pleasant, and they conveyed confidence in their knowledge of this type of furnace. I have nothing but positive to share and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you.
Description of Work: The Clark Heating & Cooling staff came to provide an annual check-up on my boiler furnace. They tested all of the relevant pieces of the furnace and cleaned the burners.

He dealt with a minor but annoying problem, taught me a few things I did not know about our furnace, and was overall a pleasure to have had come to work in our house. I would not hesitate to work with Clark Heating again in the future.
Description of Work: Standard furnace check-up, including swapping in a new water panel for the humidifier, and repairing a minor problem (loose piece of ductwork).

Description of Work: I signed up for the heating season maintanence service. Technicion called and indicated he would be late.He then arrived and after glancing at the furnace stated that furnaces of my type often have problems with heat exchanger and need to be replaced . After spending a few minutes in the basement he called me down and told me the heat exchanger was bad and that I could either have it replaced or have credit towards a new furnace . He did not do an analysis of exhaust gases and did not check the usual items or clean the furnace. He based his conclusion on an observation with a flashlight. Within an hour I had a call from the main office offering to put in a new furnace. The current furnace I have was installed in 1993. I subsequently hired another company for a second opinion . He did a series of tests and adjustments including the gas pressure at each stage of operation, measurement of efficiency, carbon monoxide and oxygen readings and measurement of the flue temperature. He concluded that the furnace was in good shape , no evidence of a faulty heat exchanger and extremely good readings on flue temperature , carbon monoxide and oxygen readings in the flue at normal levels. I conclude that it is best to get a second opinion. Perhaps the special seasonal maintanence is a ruse to get in the house and sell furnaces.

+ -1 moreI didn't receive a call for awhile, apparently there was a glitch in the processing. I finally called them. I was disappointed that I was getting a sales pitch. I doubt I will use them again. I appreciate honesty but, I have had work in the past without the sales pitch. I was turned off.

+ -1 moreIt started with the inspection I ordered off of Angieslist, during which the tech discovered an problem with the heating transfer tubes. The unit could not function properly without being hazardous and therefore needed to be replaced. They quoted me a reasonable price. Scheduling the install is where I experienced some of the responsiveness issues. Once scheduled however, the tech was on time, nice and very helpful. When I showed up for the installation I was told the new unit was damaged...thankfully they were able to find a replacement and the installation was able to continue as scheduled.
