+ -1 moreIt was fine. I think I did have to pay something extra. I think they did the inspection and they found that it would be good to like get a part or something, so I got a part. They inspected my furnace and then they said that it needed a maintenance part and so they offered to take care of that for me and so I decided to go ahead and so they installed some part that needed replacing. That was the first time I used them. They seem to be pretty nice, prompt and honest. Their work met my expectations; I haven’t had any continuing problems with the furnace. So it seems okay to me.

That trap had ben skipped in a preceding maintenance service call (by another company) because it was hard to get at, perhaps because of an assembly error when the furnace was installed.

+ -1 moreI had previously hired them for an air conditioning tune-up earlier in the year and was so pleased with the experience that I hired them again for the furnace. Once again, I was very happy with the entire process. The technician arrived right on time, performed the work, answered my questions, and was very professional. Will hire them again without any hesitation. Additional note: There was some confusion from Angie's List about the vendor contacting me within 2 days to schedule service through their "Rapid Connect" service. I later received an email to say that it was an error on Angie's List's part to include that information. I saw some negative reviews related to that error and thought it was unfair to the service provider. I'd much rather contact someone to schedule service when I'm ready anyway. Happy customer.

+ -1 moreI ended up deciding to buy a new furnace sooner rather than later/. Because of the service and professionalism I experienced with Jeremy, I decided to purchase the new furnace from CLARK Heating as well.
Description of Work: I purchased the furnace inspection deal from Angie's List. We have two furnaces and I couln't figure out how to buy a quantity of "2" when I signed up for the deal. I explained that to Jeremy, the employee they sent to do the inspection, and he readily agreed to do the second one as well for the same price I paid initially, even though the deal was no longer available online. After the inspection was completed, Jeremy explained the specific issues that each of the furnaces we have tend are known for over time. I wanted to learn more so i asked a fair number of questions that he readily answered in whatever degree of technicality and specificity I wanted. One of our furnaces was fine while the other needed to be replaced (already 20 years old) due to growing holes in the heat exchanger, which is a common problem for certain furnaces manufactured during a specific time frame.. His knowledge of the Carrier and Bryant brands of furnaces caused him to dig deeper during the inspection, which involved removing blower fans in order to check for problems that are hard to see without taking that step. We have furnace inspections almost every year and have never learned any details about the process or became aware of things we should have in our awareness. Jeremy was very knowledgeable, forthright, professional, communicative and helpful.....a rare combination in most of the technical service people I've hired to date.

+ -1 moreOn a bitterly cold day, with 3 kids home sick, the heat went out. It was already 3:30 PM by the time I realized it, of course. But I turned to Angie's List and chose the first company listed, with the most reviews. I did not realize that my heater was actually from a different company. I didn't notice the sticker on the heater for the installation company. And, I did not realize that I called somewhere outside the city I live in. But it didn't matter. In less than hour, Jeremy arrived and evaluated the problem. He had to make a phone call to track the down the part. Of course the place that had what we needed was closing right as he placed the call. But he persuaded them that we really needed the part and fought the rush hour traffic on the Beltline to get it. Installation was quick. I really appreciate how responsive this company was, and the professionalism of the tech, Jeremy. Losing heat in the winter is stressful but they made it easy.
Description of Work: Checked heat for failure cause, quickly evaluated & ordered replacement part and installed same day.

The explanation as to the various types of products was very thorough. His explanation as to the process of the new 'April Air' was very impressive. He will come out in the spring to set up for the water to go into my garden instead of my inside the water tub. I was very impressed with the professionalism. He was always on time and performed services well beyond the contract. I would always have the company come and check my furnace on a yearly basis. A level of trust was immediately established!
Description of Work: I had my furnace cleaned and checked and everything was great. At this time I asked about replacing my' April Air'. The gentleman was fantastic and a date was set for the following week to replace my 'April Air'. This was completed within his estimates and timeline.

Unfortunately the first date we set up was cancelled by Clark Heating and Cooling because the technician was stuck on a "no-heat" call. He did call and apologize and said the office manager would call and reschedule with me but I didn't get a call, I had to call her a couple days later to reschedule. Both were however, very polite and friendly. I felt very comfortable with the service technician in my home and he explained the state of our 20 year old furnance in a way that was easy to understand and gave his opinion on how to best proceed.

+ -1 moreWe bought a furnace tune-up package from Clark Heating because it was due for a tune-up and because we'd had some problems with the furnace. The first company to come through said it would cost $1,000+ to repair the furnace and that we should probably replace it anyway. When Clark came in, the technician took the time to find the actual problem with the furnace (and this was included in the tune-up package) and fixed it for about $200. As it turned out, the $1,000+ fix that the other company wanted to do wouldn't have fixed the problem either. I have since called them for service on a furnace in a rental property and again they were fast, professional and reasonably priced.
Description of Work: Did a furnace tune-up and replaced a pressure switch that turned on the flow of gas to the burners.

Description of Work: Clark Heating and Cooling performed the AC tune up and did a very good job with that. They also checked our furnace which was 20 years old. They found the furnance had a bad heat exchanger and that it should be replaced. They let us know that money would be available from the manufacturer because this was a known problem with that model. We got approximately $800 towards the replacement of the old furnance from the manufacturer, We got a good price from Clark on a high efficiency dual stage furnace. The installation work was done very well. Clark Heating also let us know about an energy credit we qualified for and submitted the paper work for that.
