Description of Work: Did a tune up on our furnace. He found a bad part and replaced it at no charge. It was covered under our extended warranty. I'm really really glad that we bought the extended warranty because we have had several problems w/ the system (furnace, air conditioner, air cleaner and humidifier). We paid about t 10,000 for the entire unit about 6 years ago and bought the extended warrenty then. We bought the system from Clark Heating and Air conditioning. It is an American Standard brand. Although we have had several problems w/ the unit, Clark has been responsive to our issues and has repaired it immediately. Our issue is with the brand not the installer.

Description of Work: Overall the guy did a great job. He showed up on time, very easy to deal with, and he walked me through everything he was evaluating. What more can you ask for? He was very professional, very easy going. I would call them again...matter of fact I will call them again.

Description of Work: My initial purchase was for an AC tune up ~ $69.00. Unfortunately we were scheduled to be seen in the midst of extremely hot spell, so the agency contacted us the morning of the scheduled service and asked if we would postpone our servicing as their were other customers who were totally w/o air and they felt they were a priority - with which I totally agreed. So we rescheduled, and again unfortunately, a mouse chewed thru/ urinated on the wires in the A/C unit, shorting out they system the day before we were to be seen. It was not the company's fault, but because we agreed to postpone, the "tune-up" ended up costing between $250-$300, including the initial tune-up costs. He plugged the hole and assured us we would not have any trouble with mice nesting in the unit again. The unit went out again a short time later, and the same repair person returned and re-placed another part but did not charge us. He was very apologetic about the inconvience caused us. The service person was kind and punctual and seemed to know what he was talking about. And again, it was not the company's fault but it is hard not to have some bad feelings knowing we could have avoided this had they provided the services as originally scheduled.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with this service. The furnace check was thorough and the service man had a filter for my furnace. I had bought a filter, but he said this particular filter was the newer model and not available at retailers. It's a special filter for allergies. He was prompt and most of all knew what he was doing. He explained everything he did and answered my questions. I would certainly use Clarks' Furnace again.

Description of Work: We had Clark Heating and Cooling come to do an inspection of our furnace. They found that our furnace was very unsafe due to its age, and told us that it needed to be replaced. Not only did they do the job the very next day, they had our old furnace out and the new one in in less than four hours. We were very appreciative of their responsiveness since the weather was very frigid.

Description of Work: Used Angie's List coupons on two different occasions for AC and furnace annual check ups. Courteous phone and technician service, very detail oriented, above and beyond to clean blower motor accumulated dust in addition to routine maintence. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: They came and tuned up the AC for the summer. They were very helpful and answered some of my other questions about the thermostat and how to add another floor vent to my bedroom to increase the flow of cool air in the summer.

Description of Work: We took advantage of one of the Angie's List specials to obtain this annual furnace check up at a great price -- almost half what it would normally cost. The technician from Clark was on time, did a thorough job of checking up and adjusting a 25-year old boiler, and gave us a reference for something that we'll need to replace in the future. I am very pleased with this service.

Description of Work: I had Jeremy of Clark's Heating and Cooling, Stoughton, Wis. come to do the furnace check using the special coupon offer I received from an Angie's List email. He did a top notch job. He even advised me that he had the OEM AprilAire filter on the truck. It was obviously better constructed than the one I had just purchased from a hardware store, and saved me $10! He showed me the difference and it was impressive. I know he could have installed the cheap filter and said nothing and I may not have known the difference but he was honest. He also noticed some strapping that was causing a vibration when the furnace clicked on and did a simple fix on that. Pleasant, timely (even phoned ahead of the timeframe he had estimated earlier), courteous, knowledgeable, dependable, has best interest of customer in mind. Good experience in getting a quality furnace tuneup done -- at a less expensive rate. Thank you. Kudos to this company, and employee Jeremy.
