They did an excellent job. They laid tarp down over the carpeting. They gave us additional information also. The price was exactly what they said it would be and they did a good job.

I talked to John on the phone for details on getting an estimate done. We set up an appointment for the next week. On the morning of the job, the guys showed up 3 mins before the expected earliest time, which was great. They worked super hard, cleaned up the job site afterwards with smiles on their faces the whole time. I had a chimney cap put on, and a aluminum chimney liner installed. A very, very easy process. I was having a problem with efflorescence flaking off of the mortar joints in the part of the chimney that is exposed in my attic. I asked John from Milwaukee Chimney to look at it, and he said that moisture from the exhaust of the boiler and water heater were causing condensation inside the chimney, which was causing the efflorescence. He recommended having the chimney lined. He answered all my questions, and we scheduled the work. Two workmen came out right on time and did the work in about an hour. They were very courteous and friendly and cleaned up after themselves. John showed up around the end of the job. The problem will abate slowly, according to John. I'll definitely report if this doesn't ultimately solve the problem, but John was so knowledgeable that I'm sure this will take care of it.

Jon and his crew did a great job. I called Jon a few times with questions before the work was done. He always answered the phone and was happy to explain everything to me. He and his crew showed up on time to do the work and were done before I expected. They were all very professional and courteous. They did a great job and cleaned up very well afterwords. Jon then showed me what they did and explained it all. My chimney looks great! I would definitely call Milwaukee Chimney again. I wish all contractors were this good!

Our water heater blew over the weekend. We had someone scheduled to install a new one first thing Monday morning. He arrived only to find out he can't do the job because we didn't have the proper set-up and needed a chimney liner for the warm, moist air to escape. Of course, I freaked out, because we need hot water! My husband called one place while I logged onto the computer and signed on to angieslist.com. I looked through reviews on the first company that came up and called John at Milwaukee Chimney. He heard the desperation in my voice and said he'd be over within an hour. He quoted me $325, while my husband got another quote from a different company for $690! John was in and out within 30 minutes. He did an excellent job and even worked side-by-side with the plumber who came back to install the water heater.

I thought that it was kind of high for the work that they did. Got on roof to look at the work and realized there was a chipped chimney, wanted the work done a different way and gentleman wasn't professional when I asked him to do it a different way told me to call boss if he wanted it done a different but then rectified the problem to the way I wanted it to be done finished the service after it was done.

They were great. Twenty minutes and the job was done. My chimney and flue were very clean. During the job they put down a drop cloth and used a vacuum to eliminate dust. As a result, there was no debris or dust in my home during the cleaning.

The condensation problem is gone. Even though they were very busy, they came out the same day I called to schedule the appointment. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes. The two gentlemen were very professional, they answered all my questions and cleaned up afterward. The bill was exactly what it was supposed to be. The owner never tried to sell me something I didn't need, and their honesty saved me thousands of dollars. I highly recommend them.

They responded to my request and came within one day. They did the work very efficiently (two trucks and 4 workers). The basement area was left clean (where cement work around the vent at chimney junction was done).

They did what was asked of them, kept the dust and dirt contained and cleaned up after themselves.

Very professional. We called and made an appointment. The crew was due at 8:00 They called at 7:50 to say they were running late and asked if they showed up at 8:30 would that be too late, or if we would prefer to reschedule. 8:30 was fine. They arrived, were extremely polite, cleaned the chimney, the fireplaces and their work area. I would not hesitate to call them again.

They came about the time they said. The job was finished in about 30 min. When asked about the condition of the chimney, they explained that everything was in good shape. Everything was clean when they worked. They were polite and friendly.

John returned my call promptly and said he would come within a couple of days to take a look and give me an estimate. He said I didn't have to be home which I appreciated very much because I didn't have to take time off of work. He came two days later and called me at work while at my house and told me about several holes he found around the chimney which he said he would caulk. It was a small job, but he did it well and at a very reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend his company.

Jon was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring when he gave me the estimate, and was able to do the work three days later. The job was done quickly and professionally, and they cleaned up everything when they were done. I was very pleased with the job they did and with the price, which was considerably less than I had been quoted by another company earlier.

Great service. Very friendly and neat. Cleaned up after the job and offered advice on where to go to get our oil burning fireplace fixed.

I mentioned to Jon that we'd heard animal noises in our basement fireplace chimney. He checked and found that we'd had a raccoon there that had left a lot of debris. He cleaned it all out before installing three stainless steel chimney caps. He was prompt, professional, efficient and had a very pleasant manner.

John came out promptly to do an estimate (within 2 days of my email). He was unable to do the work but made a referral.

Overall experience was very positive. I received an estimate the same day I requested it. The morning I called to hire Mr. Ossoinik, he came and completed it the same day with two others and finished the job before I came home from work. His work did what I wanted, the chimney no longer leaks at all. I inspected the work and it looked satisfactory.

After getting several quotes these guys seemed to be the most reasonable. They were not the lowest, but they were not the highest by far. They were very fast. The work was done in about an hour. They cleaned up everything afterwards. We are very happy with the work.

I am very pleased with the work and the honesty of Milwaukee Chimney. John did not try to sell me on something I didn't need. The price for the work was very fair and since he had the necessary parts in his truck, they had the job done in about 45 minutes, start to finish. A great job at a price $25-75 less than a competitor.

They were prompt and professional and offered some advice on how to improve the fireplace so that the chimney draws better. We hadn't had the chimney cleaned in two years, and we use our fireplace regularly all winter, so I'm sure the chimney was in need of cleaning.

When I told Jon that our problem was that fireplace smoke was coming into the house, he said he does not do fireplace chimneys, only furnace/water heater flues. But he said he wanted to take a look, since that is far less expensive than lining the fireplace chimney and solves the problem 95% of the time. After looking up the chimney, we discussed what he had found, and I agreed to the work. He scheduled it promptly. His crew was polite but arrived later than scheduled, took longer than planned, and left the floor pretty messy on a day I had to leave on time. Unfortunately, the work did not solve the problem. When I called to tell him this, he said there was nothing further he could do and reminded me that we still ''needed'' the liner for our water heater. I was disappointed by his response (he had seemed much more willing to pursue the problem further when we originally talked, and his business card says his work is guaranteed). I'd be more cautious if I used him in the future.

They were very professional, no mess at all, took shoes off at the door and laid down sheets to ensure no mess would be made. Two men doing the work one on the roof and the other doing the inside work. Took about 40 min.

Prompt return of phone call; very courteous but refused to consider inspection and sweeping because he was too busy with contractor related work for ''82 contractors.'' Could not foresee any time in which he would be able to do the job. We are in construction and I asked if my general contractor could hire him for our chimney. Again, he declined. Apologized and made a referral to another company upon my request.
