Description of Work: They took out a 3" flue for our water heater and installed a 4" pipe. This was a job that two other contractors wouldn't touch. This was also a rush job. Their can-do attitude impressed me very much. Awesome!

Description of Work: I had not used my fireplace in over three years and wanted it inspected/cleaned to be ready for Christmas/holiday entertaining. Two service techs, one inside/one outside were right on time and did an excellent job. The inside tech went over a number of things with me and answered questions I had relating to the features of my fireplace. I just used it this afternoon while watching the Packer game, and it worked beautifully.

Description of Work: I called because we had water leaking down our fireplace and coming out onto our floor. They came out the next day and told me that it was due to not having a cap on my chimney and gave me the exact amount it would be to install it. He also let me know he would be out the same week to install it and wouldn't need to get back into my house, which was very nice since I work during the day. He came out and put it on and left the invoice in the door. I was extremely happy with their service and professionalism and thought the price seemed to be very fair.

I wish I would have gone with John to do the work... but I picked a slightly cheaper company (Lifetime Chimney's), which was an absolute disaster. I wish I would have chosen Milwaukee Chimney Contractors!

Description of Work: I recently bought an older home and wanted to get the chimney cleaned before actually using it. I also had some concerns about possible water staining in the attic near the chimney, and I was concerned that I might be missing a chimney cap. I called Milwaukee Chimney Contractors and they were very easy to set up an appointment with, on the day I needed. My wife was home at the time they came and they were very professional. They attempted to start cleaning the chimney, but because of age and deterioration, they were unable to continue. The existing flue was brittle in areas and coming away in chunks. They recommended having a stainless steel lining installed for ~$3,000. My home is nearly 3 stories tall, with a relatively difficult chimny to access... looking at other prices around this seems fair. Also, they verified some of the water damage and it was coming from the flashing around the chimney. They also verified that I had a chimney cap in good condition. What amazed me is they did this all without charge, since they couldn't continue with the cleaning. I will definately look to them when I'm ready to get my chimney relined... as an old house owner, I have a couple other expenses in line first. I look forward to giving them my business in the future.

Description of Work: I had a problem with my chimney. I was told by two different contractors that I had a crack in my brick chimney from condensation by water heater that caused the problem. The bricks from my chimney are Roman Bricks and they don't make them any more so it would be expensive to replace. John was the only contractor out of 4 that provided me with an alternative and that was to tear down the chimney and replace it with a liner pipe of some sort that is now being used in newer homes. The other contractors quoted prices from $1,100-$1,600 to replace the chimney, but never mentioned the alternative until I bought it up. John's workers, Kevin and Salvador were professional and they worked quickly. I never got a chance to see John and have him come back to inspect the work.
