+ -1 moreFor the most part, I was happy with them. They were flipping the house next door to me and that was how I knew about them but then I saw them on your site. There was just one thing. When they rebuilt my porch, there were a couple of boards that were higher than the others and they said that they would come out and fix it but of course I had to wait for them. But otherwise, they were a nice group of guys. They seemed to be very professional and I was impressed with the work that they were doing next door. They were hard workers and they did not let up. They were very friendly and their pricing was pretty fair but the boards were noticeable right away so to me, it should have been replaced right away. They had a lot of jobs going so it was a little difficult to get a hold of them sometimes but when they were working on my job, they were here on time. I possibly would use them again in the future although now that I have found another contractor, I would certainly lean towards him. They are not a bad company, it is just that the other contractor is better.
Description of Work: I used Hansen's Remodeling over a year ago for rebuilding my porch.

+ 0 moreIt went well. The crew worked steadily and were very accommodating to any changes I wanted to make.
Description of Work: This company was flipping a home next door to me-I asked the owner, Dave, if he could give me a quote to redo my porch as it was rotting in places, especially under the railing. I am guessing at the price but remember it to be very fair. The only reason I graded a "B" in quality was because a couple of the boards on the porch appear warped and the "wrapping" they put on the outside of the steps is loose. Dave did explain that when pressure treated wood is not used immediately it can warp and was honest with me in telling me some of the wood he used he had from a previous job-he did say he would replace any board that might need to be-I have not contacted him to date as the weather has just begun to warm up but fully intend to do so to address these couple of issues. I do not expect any problems with this being corrected.

+ -1 moreHorrid. Never called back when I called. took a month to finish a "3 -4 day job". Had no idea how to pull a building permit. unreliable (never came when he said he would) "Over-slept" a meeting with the city building inspector ( that we showed up to) Had various vehicle problems. Should have run a check on him before hiring (a co worker of my wife recommended him, and it took pressure from her to make him finish the job).
Description of Work: rebuilt wooden front porch and insulated under dormers.

Description of Work: Hansen’s Remodeling gave me an estimate for exterior carpentry; I needed a balcony rebuilt.

+ 5 moreGreat experience. Proud of our house after all the work and still had money in our pocketbooks afterwards.
Description of Work: Great contractor! Very reasonable prices, prompt, and great communication. We had huge cracks in our 100 year old house, and Dave's team finished that within two days. Did our tuckpoining on our exterior, painted interior walls and trim, put in new windows, and poured new concrete sidwalk. It was a pleasure working with them. Never felt like we were a number or we were getting nickled or dimed. Dave, is great with giving updates and status of your project. We will be calling them again this spring for more work!

Description of Work: HANSEN REMODELING PREPPED WALLS(DD 1913 CRACKED WALLS), AND PAINTED WALLS & TRIM IN OUR KITCHEN, BATHROOM, AND MASTER BEDROOM. THE BATHROOM TILE ALSO NEEDED REGROUTING, & BATHTUB CAULKING, WHICH THEY ALSO DID WITH MINIMAL CHARGE. THEY OFFERED TO QUOTE WINDOW CLEANING FROM MY COMMENT. FULL SERVICE COMPANY!!!
