We are waiting for the final meeting, with our contractor, and wrap up and will have our report then. Thank you.
Description of Work: March 19, 2012 - Eric Foster arrived promptly after being contacted in doing a bathroom remodel for us. We discussed what we were looking for - he told us the cost per hour (1 or 2 men) gave us a quote and we agreed to hire Hand E. Man Services. The first two weeks were great. They took out a sunken tub, build the frame for the new tub, and framed in the walls. Eric showed up after each service, making sure we were satisfied and made sure the crew cleaned everything up. Even had the taper do a little repair in the living room / kitchen that he thought wasn't quite right. 5/20/2012 - Note to Eric as visits were fewer and further between and no date deadlines to getting the work completed: We are wondering when you are planning to finish up the things - gap between tile and wall behind toilet very uneven grout line between tub and tile bad grout job above shower numerous nicks / dents on the walls - need repair and repaint Sealing of the grout corners need clean edge and re-painting Sanding and repainting of the 1/2 wall between tub and toilet, We don't believe exhaust fan has been vented out, etc. This is a partial list of things that need to be corrected. This project was started in March and we'd really like to wrap it up. 5/31/2012 - Eric arrived and told us that the wall / floor is crooked and that's why the gaps are the way they are on the tile - we really don't agree. He and the painter arrived, and the painter just painted over the bad sheet rock / tape job. 6/1/2012 - Note to Eric: I do not know who is doing the sheet rock and painting (wall between the tub and toilet) however, it is a bad job going on?" It is so rough and sloppy looking. You may have to stand over his work. We want you to show us the venting for the fan - it looks like it is not hooked up. Who is going to seal the tile? See you next week? 6/7/2012 - We have not heard from Hand E Man Services. The hardest part about this is why not communicate? It's so much easier, when you know what's going on. We hope to hear from Hand E Man Services / Eric Foster soon so we clean up this report. June 19, 2012. We are meeting with our contractor next week and looking forward to that meeting and getting things wrapped up.

We were not in a hurry to have this work done and understood that it was a small job for most contractors. The drywall was cracked around both outlets causing it to bulge and look unsightly. The holes were cut a quarter to a half inch off and were not readjusted to the right level with the walls or switch plates. The hole cut for the water to the toilet was so big a standard cover would not hide it and had to be patched. While they did sand the walls, they did not bother to vacuum/clear them to ready them for painting so they were full of dust. The tile was unevenly installed. They did not grout around the edges where the trim met the tile at all. There were spots where the adhesive was laid too thick and therefore showed through the grout in several spots. I had supplied the material included a grout sealer. The sealer was not used, so I am assuming the grout was not sealed. I had to wash the floor several times to clear the sanding dust out of the grouted areas in the tile. It is three steps across carpeting to the bathroom and the first day, it was tracked full of dirt. I did lay a rug down after that, but the carpet will need to be cleaned. They took the door off the bathroom to do their work and after they reinstalled it, it wouldn't close at all. The toilet ran and the new sink's drainpipe leaked, nearly ruining the floor in the new vanity. We emailed the owner and asked him to come back and fix the drain and the door. We gave him five working days but he never showed up.
Description of Work: Hired company to put in new drywall, tile and install new trim in a 5x7 bathroom we were remodeling. They were also to install a new vanity and reinstall the toilet once the tile was laid.
