He arrived on time with his helper and completed the job in one day. His efforts included finishing the drywall, installing woodwork and painting and staining as necessary. "All of these 5 star reviews got dumped on the Angi page, dated 2/2024. All show shiny basements & what appears to be excellent work & reviews claiming excellent communication. It's how I came about the referral - as well as their Facebook ads. Not sure if they bit off more than they could chew, but communication has been awful if not non-existent. The home visit seemed great! But I had to email them for the quote afterwords. Then a visit to the showroom a month later was dirty, plant dirt lying around, no bathroom available to the customers, giant weeds outside of the building they purchased. If you're presenting yourself as professional contractors, appearance of a showroom where you host customers is a reflection of your work. I didn't hear from them in over 4 wks. I emailed & was met with an excuse & zero delivery of promise for final proposal. We are taking our business elsewhere. We just wasted 3 months for nothing."

"I reached out originally just to get my porch beams repainted, but when MQ came out to complete an estimate they noticed rotting wood and provided a quote to rebuild the facade on the supports, finish and paint. The work they did was excellent. Considering that I didn't originally budget for a job of this size it was well worth the cost to have them do the work. I would hire them again."

You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Calculate the square footage of the area you want to paint. Divide the square footage by 350 (the average square footage a gallon of paint covers). Multiply the number of gallons you need by two, as you’ll likely be applying two coats of paint. For a more accurate estimate, subtract the square footage of the windows and doors from the initial square footage total. It’s a good idea to plan for an extra gallon of paint to make sure you have enough to finish the job.

Then they add the total square footage for all of the walls to be painted. To calculate the price, they multiply the total square footage by their cost per square foot to prep and paint. Additional costs may factor in such as repairs, additional trim, and walls higher than the first story.

You should apply at least two coats of paint when painting the exterior of your house. Two coats of paint provides better durability and more even coverage than just one coat.
