"Racist contractor. When I received call from this contractor. Immediately, I was asked if I was Hispanic. I was taken aback by the statement. I responded by asking what difference did it make. He said he was asking because of my first name, that it was an Hispanic name and I didn’t sound Hispanic. He went on to say, that they only entertained “real or serious” and some people don’t have the money for their services. At this point, it was clear he was inferring that I did not have the financial resources based on what race he thought I was. I told him, I was no longer interested in his business because he was a racist and I don’t support racist."

All along the way, Scott and Nick worked hard to save us money: bargaining down rates from subcontractors, shopping around for better prices on materials, making a longer drive to purchase something at a lower cost, etc. This allowed us to spend up on things we really valued and even expand the project to take care of some other things outside the original scope.
