Kathy Heath, who runs DigginIt, is not a kind person. She offered services and then was not able to deliver on what was agreed. She left us in the lurch. She prefers to do design work rather than gardening and maintenance. Extremely disappointed in their services.

So far, great. Two snowfalls and the snow was taken care of in a timely manner.

From our first meeting, I knew that Kathy was a real pro.  She had some great ideas and used a computer CAD design program to layout several scenarios for our completely overhauled back yard.  The layout showed the new patio, grass, and a complete index of all the plants that would do well based upon the sun/shade mix in our yard.
Kathy has a great sense of layout, design, form and function.  We explained our uses and priorities with the outdoor space.  She took measurements of all of our patio furniture, grill and other requirements to insure everything fit.

We initially thought bluestone, but had to shift gears because that broke the budget.  She found a very cool man-made bluestone paver that was awesome and a great price point.

After several minor tweaks to the design, the real fun began.  Kathy suggested and sent us tons of plant ideas with a wide variety of color and seasonal changing interests.  While picking out the landscaping, Kathy coordinated a sub contractor for the paver patio.  We were originally going to use a "guy" on Craigslist but then came to find out they didn't have the proper experience with grading and the equipment needed to do the job right.  Kathy came through with her sub (Articulate Lawn Care and Landscaping) who was awesome too and was completely flexible in our shift from DIY to fully contracted for the job.  

The patio came out perfectly as designed.  We would have just done a slab of brick on our own, but we now have a few areas of interest and lots of fun entertaining space.  The plantings were all done and mulch placed while we were away one weekend.  We came back to a totally transformed yard.

I would highly recommend anyone utilize Kathy and her crew for design and installation work.  She is a real gem and someone you want to have over for coffee before, during and after the project is over to admire the results.  (I didn't post the costs of service because it depends on what you have done--but it was very fair and reasonable).
