Upon his timely arrival he proceeded to clean our wood stove. When he removed the pipe connected to the wall and pulled the sleeve out he noticed our wood stove was not installed properly to safeguard against having a fire. He was amazed that we never had a house fire as the wood inside the wall was charred. He will be coming back to fix what should have been done when we first bought the wood stove. Thanks Angie's List for letting us find a truly honest and reputable chimney inspector.

We had a chimney fire due to creosote build up during the coldest part of this past winter. Justin came over immediately. He cleaned out our existing chimney and ran his camera through the chimney. He determined that the chimney was compromised and would need to be replaced. He also looked at our existing wood stove and suggested we replace it with a more efficient model. While we did not expect to replace the wood stove, it is our primary source of heat so we wanted the most efficient model possible. He did recommend that we not use our wood stove until he could replace the chimney. We were in a serious jam because that is our primary source of heat. Justin told us that he was leaving for a trip to Montana on Monday. It was Thursday. Initially he said he couldn't do it until he got back from Montana a week later. We didn't even have to plead our case. He realized this was our primary source of heat and said if he could get all of the parts that he would install the chimney and new wood stove on Saturday and Sunday. He got the parts and got the new chimney and stove install and working on Saturday. He came back over on Sunday to install the blower fan. We are extremely happy with everything Justin did. The wood stove is more efficient and was definitely worth the money. It heats the house much better than the previous one and stays hot over night. I no longer have to get up in the middle of the night to stoke the fire. We also had Justin install a new dryer vent as ours was cobbled together by the previous owner. He worked for an entire day and installed a dryer vent that made sense and much safer. He did a professional job and was reasonable in price. Justin also gave me some a small amount of dry wood, fire starters, wood stove paint, and a moisture tool to measure the moisture in the wood. He took his time with me and provided me with some very valuable education. I will be a customer of his for as long as he is in business.

Justin arrived on time and was professional, friendly and informative. He showed me how to remove the glass fronts to clean the windows myself in the future, and instructed me on how to adjust fan rate and flame height manually. He charged by the fireplace, not the time it took. So his instructions, while taking up time, were not an added cost. My fireplaces look beautiful now

All went well. He took his time both indoors and on the roof. I felt he was honest and trustworthy. He even checked the chimney for the water heater and furnace at no extra charge.

They came to clean if needed and inspect the chimney in our new purchased home. He said it clean so I only paid for inspection. But they only checked from below because our roof was too high and steep to review in winter. I was told he would come back in spring for free to check the top. But he felt it was good from seeing the rest. It almost felt like more time was spent selling products then reviewing, but maybe because our chimney was in good shape there wasn't much else to cover. The inspection was very short.

Decided to go with Ablaze Technologies based on the other positive reviews here on Angies List and could not be happier. E-mailed Justin right away at the end of the summer and set up an appointment for 10/18/2013. We traded a few e-mails and his communications were prompt, responsive and professional. The service was performed and went above and beyond the call of duty. We could not be more pleased. Justin answered all of our questions and advised of things we should and should not do in the future. Very friendly and courteous with exceptional customer service. We will not hesitate to contact him each and every year to have our chimney cleaned and serviced. I highly recommend Ablaze Technologies for all of your chimney and masonry fireplace needs.

All cleaning was done very neatly with lots of protection against dust. The technician also checked the cap and ordered the necessary replacement parts for the firebox and grate. Has been in communication as parts arrive and has made multiple trips to install as parts become available. A++

Justin is the kind of guy you were hoping would show up at your door to help you. I experienced him as a trustworthy and able young man who does high quality work at a fair price. No oddball gimmicks. No overcharging to pay for expensive advertising. No shortcuts on the work. Over the years I have used a variety of chimney cleaning services and this was the best experience I've had. I'll be calling him again next time.

This was the second time we used this service. Justin is always on time and takes steps to make sure that the carpet, drapes etc. remain clean. He explains, so that I understand, what needs to be done and why. He does an excellent job. I'll call him again next year.
