Description of Work: Had I been a member of Angie's list before I hired this company, I would have never hired "The Workshop on Wheels", also known now as "Another Level Construction and Restoration". Greg Hahn, the owner did a great job talking about what he was going to do, but failed to do other things like PULL Permits and Get Work Inspected. He also led me to believe that he was working at my home (it was not occupied) thru text messages, and was not even there! I had to have most of his work redone. The worst example: He tried to put a post to support a load bearing ceiling. He should have installed a 3 9'1/2" LVL Beams under the gable end wall on my house between my master bedroom and my master closet. My new Carpenter found this mistake. When he stopped showing up to my job site for 3 weeks, I had had enough and told him I was moving on with another contractor. I only hope this review keeps someone else from getting into a nightmare like I did!

Greg Hahn was hired for a verbally agreed upon price. Which I learned later he is supposed to provide a written quote, but he did not. This is where I went wrong. On many separate occasions he increased his price from the initial about $15,000 we agreed upon to in the end almost $30,000.00. There were some surprises as with any project which I understood, but Greg even after we worked out more funds for him on the last day for payment came back and said he needed another $1,800 for gas to drive from Sheboygan to the worksite and because all I had left were credit card funds, he charged me the additional fee his credit card company charges him to add insult to injury. Many of his workers when Greg was not there were standing around smoking and collecting there hourly wage from Greg. This was then of course passed onto me. Then after he was paid, I contacted him as some electrical connections were not connected, some of my personal tools were stolen, and boards and trim were not attached, and he never came back. He comes off very nice, but once into the job and he gets a hold of your wallet he takes complete advantage of the consumer. Mismanagement of employees, inability to accurately quote a job, poor communication of changes, poor workmanship, and taking advantage of a consumer when he sees where the funds can come from are all reasons to never use this contractor.
