Description of Work: We asked the provider to come to our house to give us a quote on converting appliances from propane to natural gas. He was in the house no more than 2 minutes. Looked around with a flashlight, said he could do it, and we haven't heard from him since. I would not recommend this business for anything.

He gave some good advice on not covering up the air conditioner during the winter as it can be worse for the system. They even gave a great recommendation of a service provider for gutter work most recently. One of the girls in the office is related to the gutter service provider and let me know they would do a great job.

 + -1 moreWhen he didn't call back at the end of the week as promised, I waited another week until I called back to see what was up. I was informed that he was waiting to hear back from one more vendor. I never heard back again. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.
Description of Work: I wanted to change my wood burning fire place into a gas. I called and made an appointment. He was prompt and polite and when he left he was going to order parts.

 + -1 moreIt went absolutely great they had it all installed in about three hours very impressed and they cleaned up the mess and disposed of the old furnace. My heat bills are a lot less about fifteen to twenty dollars a month, very pleased with the service and the men were very polite.I received a 275.00 dollars in a rebate,they let me pay it off in two installments. Very pleased with this service will call them and recommend them to others.

Description of Work: We have been having problems with our furnace for over a year. We had another Sheboygan business come last year around the same time and said the problem was fixed. We continued to have problems and even wondered if we would need a new furnace. The help we received from Jim's Heating was immediate. He knew what the problem was, then fixed it, and charged less than the other business who made a service call but didn't fix a thing. The experience was professional and we would definitely recommend this company.

They came within a few days at the time sset up, did the inspections , and told me they'd get back to me with an estimate within a few days. After a week with no call, I called them and was told they were waiting for an estimate from a supplier. That was the last I heard from them. If they want my business, they can, at the very least, call me back!

 + 0 moreJim told us that it would most likely take 1 1/2 to 2 days to complete since we had so many ducts. The crew showed up on 7/26 with all their equipment and set up in the basement mechanical area. They worked from 9-3, then came back on Friday to finish up and install the new filter. Total process took 1 1/2 days. Our ducts had never been cleaned and the house was built in 2006--still had lots of original construction debris, plus we have done a kitchen remodel and had hardwood floors refinished, so there was lots of debris in the ducts. We felt Jim's price was very reasonable and we appreciated that he made the call to our home to discuss. Our overall experience with Jim's was great. Feel like he has a hardworking and honest group of folks working for him and that we were not getting "sold" on something. Will definitely use Jim's again for all of our heating/cooling/duct needs.
Description of Work: We used Jim's for two different issues:1) Air duct cleaning in our home ($475 to clean ducts and $325 to install heavy duty flter)2) Dryer duct cleaning/re-routing of dryer ductwork in our condo (This was about $600 and a separate call) Jim personally made the service call to our home to look at all ductwork and give us an estimate. In addition to duct cleaning, we discussed adding a heavy duty filter that captures more/smaller dust particles and only needs to be changed once/year. We decided to add this to the duct cleaning service. 2) Dryer duct cleaning - upon trying to clean the ducts, it was discovered that the ductwork had been "rigged" so as to get the dryer downstairs from the basement. Lint had 4 elbows to go through and it was completely clogged. It was a fire hazard for our tenants, so we wanted to do the right thing and re-route the duct work so it would have a more direct route. Jim's crew worked and re-routed the ductwork. Cost was around $600, but it was quite a bit of labor, and since it was a rental, we wanted to do the right thing.
