The initial estimate was significantly higher, but we felt good that Steve was very open and candid about how he came up with his bid and what various elements of the remodel would cost. We told him the bid was too expensive for the overall value of the home and asked if he would work with us to come up with a more economical plan. He said he would. He was most helpful in coming up with a design that cut the costs significantly and still gave us both a functional and very good looking modern bathroom. The project did start and finish one week late, but otherwise went pretty much according to his schedule. His lead worker was a bit slow to get started and seemed perplexed by some of the remodeling work. We expressed our concern to Steve, and he must have intervened because performance on the job immediately improved. The finished product is excellent. The workmanship is great, and everything passed city inspection without a problem. We would have no hesitation in recommending Custom Kreations for a remodel project.

Very well using them again

demolishion and excavation began late in October 2008, finishing complete mid-March 2009. Even though Custom Kreations staff had just previously suffered an accident sidelining two of their workers -- there were no hiccups, they covered the absenses seemlessly. Communication was excellent throughout the process, quality of workmanship excellent. We had worked with CK on two small projects in prior years and had very good experience with their workmanship. The remodel/addition project was completed over a year ago, and we are still very pleased with the work. We recommended CK to friends doing a major remodel (adding a dormer expanding their home's second floor) without hesitation. Friends used CK and were also very pleased with them. The subcontractors CK used were very good (with the exception of the plumber) and CK as a general contractor made working with all of the subs very easy. If we consider any additional work in the future - large project or small -- we would not hesitate to use CK again.

We had done a few small projects with CK and had very good results. We had three estimates on the work - and CK had the best ideas and a very competative price. While the project took a bit longer than we had anticipated, the quality of workmanship was excellent. Cost was pretty much on target (any overages were due to upgrades to materials we requested). Crew was wonderful to work with.
