Excellent! We are extremely satisfied with the job they did. They started the job on time, however they refused the first order of shingles because the quality was not what they expected. We did have to wait for the new shipment but didn't mind because we understood the reason. To make up for the late arrival of the new shingles on a Saturday evening, the workers came back to finish the job that Sunday and the following week! They had a dumster on site and kept the yard and driveway clean and also cleaned up every bit of debris from the reconstruction! We now have the best looking roof in the subdivision! We would highly recommend Zimmerlee Construction! (We were given his name by Doug Bay of Bay Realty who does a wonderful job with interior work!) Thank you!

The roof on my attached 2 car garage had sunk more that 8 inches. Mike was able to install a laminated veneer beam and jack the roof back up. I was impressed with Juan who did the roof. Jim and George who did the trim and siding are extremly skilled at bending trim.

Mike was referred to me through someone at my church. Always a good sign! I called Mike and explained that I had water dripping into my house from the roof area. He came out within a day or two bringing a ladder and inspected the roof area. We knew that the chimney was deteriorating and needed to come down for sure. There were no apparent areas needing repair so we opted to remove the chimney, sea,l and caulk overall where needed. He also asked to inspect the roof from the inside attic area which few before him even suggested. (A test from my perspective) We had a few wet and mildly rainy days right after but the first clear day, a Saturday, he sent a crew of 2 and all was done in less than 3 hours. They cleaned up the work site very nicely and our house is hopefully all set for winter and snow. I also had a roof drain spout relocated that needed a bit more attention.Upon his return he gladly took a level to it to make sure it was angled properly. It was dripping slightly from a corner seam, right by my entry door. Without hesitation he pulled out his ladder and materials to fix. He was a good listener, calm and attentive. Being unemployed at the time I really needed someone to charge me a fair price and he did. I had several roof repair people out - Mike was the guy I felt most comfortable with. I would recommend him and he will be my go to guy for future home repairs.

Removing the old insulation, chimney, etc. was extremely dirty work, but the guys were very careful to contain the mess and did a fantastic job. The work area was cleaned before the guys left each day. Tim, the person who did most of the work, was fantastic and arrived on time each day. Doug stopped by each day to monitor progress, drop off material, remove waste, and ensure work schedules matched my schedule. Everyone associated with this project was professional and concerned that work met my requirements.

The work performed was exceptionally precise and the new siding looks great! It took about 6-8 weeks between the original estimate and order and the actual work being done. I knew the siding would take about one month to come in, but when I did not receive a call after about four and a half weeks I called and learned that the siding was in and then the work was scheduled for the next couple weeks. So, communication could have been improved. Also, I OKed a specific day, and the work was not started until the following day and then ended up being done in the course of two days. I did not mind the delay, but needed communication to this effect so that I could have planned accordingly, since I had out of town guests and a patio party planned for the very evening that they had decided to leave all the project materials for the next day on the patio and in the yard. They did come out to clean up the materials then upon my request, but unfortunately it was too late. This company is relatively young and can learn the customer service piece. The products they use and the work they do are exceptional and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Mike returned my call quickly and I had a written estimate from him for all of the work within a couple of days. His crew did an excellent job with the siding, windows, and door and removed all work materials and trash after the job was completed. When I noticed a small problem with the new fence that they had installed, Mike had someone out to fix the issue the same day. He even came up with a very inexpensive solution to a problem I had with a new window in my kitchen that hadn't been properly enclosed by a previous contractor. I had gotten an estimate of over $1,000 to fix the problem from a masonry contractor, but Mike's guys fixed the problem for me for $100.00. I would definitely use Mike's company again, and will certainly recommend him to anyone looking to have work like this done around their home.

Met with Mike Zimmerlee on 7/30/08 at my home. We discussed the tear off of cedar shake siding on the 2nd story of my house, wrapping, insulation, and residing with vinyl cedar shake look-alike siding, and the tear off of 2 layers of asphalt shingles, and one of cedar shake shingles, and the installation of new asphalt shingles on my roof. He said he would get back to me shortly with a proposal. I never heard from him.

Though this project has not been completed, I needed to share my satisfaction of how things have gone to date. Mike is very detailed and has kept to all timelines/guidelines. Estimate was taken and then he came and met with us to go over it. Work has started on time and whenever I have called and ask questions, Mike has been very professional and understanding. This has been a very good experience, and thank you Angie's List.

I called on a weekday and described to Mike the work I would like done. He said he would stop by that day (while I was at work) and then mail me the quote. Two weeks went by and I never received it. I called again and he said he would put it in the mail. Four days later I still didn't receive it and was ready to have the work done. I called again and asked him to stop by. He said he would call me later in the day and I never heard from him.

The thing that impressed me most when we first began getting estimates for this project was the fact that Mike is the only contractor I spoke with who told me that we should wait to replace our siding for warmer weather. It was February at the time. Several other contractors were ready to begin the project right away, never telling me that the cold temp could affect the quality of the work. I guess winter is the slow season and others didn't care about quality as much. So we waited and began in spring. That impressed me.

Mike Zimmerlee's crew is outstanding. An example: We had the poor timing to have our roof replaced during the week of strong storms in Spring 2008. With the roof partially replaced (but still supposedly watertight) we had a huge rainstorm during the night. My wife and I heard a noise on the roof during the storm and wondered if something had come loose. As we were investigating, we saw Mike's roofer Juan descending a ladder -- he had driven to our house at night in the storm so he could climb up and make sure everything was OK. That attitude was present in every man in the crew. George, Jim and Ashley all went the extra mile to make sure that the work was done professionally and that we were happy with the results. They are very competent and hard-working. I highly recommend this company.

Mike came out to the house on a weekend to give me an estimate on how much it would cost to side the house with trim and soffit and siding. Then we met up again where he brought larger samples of colors he thought would be appropriate in matching the brick that was on the house. Because it was winter, he scheduled the work to be done within a couple of weeks. Very respectable, on time and very pleasant.

Mike and his guys were a pleasure to work with. They did a wonderful job on the roof, gutters and siding. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves when finished for the day. We had to wait about a month before they could start the work but once they did it got done in a very timely manner. We highly recommend Mike and will hire him again when we need work done on our house.
