CANALES FLOORING

We stopped into their showroom to pick out carpet for our lower level. The sales woman was great to work with and explained the various level of quality and styles. We selected a mid price range carpet. Not the most expensive, but far from the cheapest. She informed us that this would be a very good choice and that Rick would contact us within 24 hours to schedule a free estimate. 3 days past and Rick finally called to schedule the appointment (Not a huge deal as I know how busy all the trades are currently). He came out to measure for the free estimate. We received our estimate in a timely fashion and decided to use Canales Flooring to install our carpeting. They did show up on time, but it was a subcontractor who did the install. I was very disappointed when I looked at the work and saw what was completed...... Not only did they do a sub par job on the install (especially with the seams VERY VISIBLE) but nothing was cleaned or vacuumed. His sub-contractor threw (Literally) the remaining carpet into our mechanical room, tracked through our office (what kind of flooring contractor doesn't carry a vacuum) and left a mess for my husband to clean up! when my husband came home and saw the mess they had left he promptly cleaned it up and noticed the carpet seamed loose and the seams you could almost trip over . I contacted Caneles Flooring and the woman who answered said Rick would be in touch with us within the week. Almost 3 weeks pasted and 4 phone calls before we heard anything. Finally Rick contacted me and said he would send his sub-contractor back out to to take a look at the problems we had (NOT RICK THE OWNER, HIS SUB-Contractor). I stated to him the displeasure of my husband with the quality of the service and workmanship; he reluctantly agreed to meet with me and his sub-contractor to see what the problems were). When they arrived they both seemed to have a chip on there shoulder and explained the reason you see seams is because you choose a low quality carpet (not what was explained by the sales woman we originally met with). I would recommend to stay away from Caneles flooring! Word of advice to them, clean up after yourselves, invest in a vacuum and take responsibility for your company.

That went okay. They provided very nice help with selecting materials. The result was very good. I think that I needed to check everything, because they weren't necessarily accustomed to working in high quality residential homes.
