"The technician pulled a roller off the door; then told me all the rollers were bad. He wanted to replace them for $150. I asked him if he checked the other rollers; he said no. The door is very easy to raise & lower by hand so I told him no. I asked him if he would check & lubricate the chain. He said that would damage the unit. The owners manual recommends checking the chain tension & adjusting it if needed. He did not look at it at all. He did not perform a safety check either."

Small business fully insured and licensed with 18+ years in the trade. I accept projects big and small and have from 1-3 workers (including myself) to get the job done right. With a select list of contacts (electricians/plumbers/hvac), most jobs can be completed with one phone call. We will start with a signed estimate and discuss payment at that point. Most projects I will invoice upon successful and satisfactory completion.

"It was excellent. All work was done properly. There were no long pause. He came when he said he was going to. There was a wood work that he did that we don't like and he redid it. His estimates were lower than the actual final cost. The reason why the estimate were low, some parts of the job changed after they were made."

At ARC Contracting, we want to redefine the experience you have with your sales person, your contractor, and the support you get along the way. ARC Contracting specializes in residential and commercial full-service exterior contracting, including roofing, gutters, soffit, facia, windows, siding, insulation, and solar.

"This has been an absolute horror show of contracting, I Hired ARC to do my Rubber Flat roof replacement with a foam taper to help give it pitch. They tried to rush the job in the late fall and showed up unannounced to deliver the install materials but didn't bring the main part the Taper system then said due COVID and supply chain it wouldn't be until March or April before it was in stock. End of April still haven't heard back so I called them and they acted like oh yeah it's been here I don't know why no one called yet. Now Here we are ½ way through the roof replacement that should have taken 2 days and my kids bedroom is leaking water because they only had 2 guys doing the job and they only got ½ the roof done and didn't manage to get it sealed or as the Appleton Manager Ryan told me dried in. They knew a storm was due to roll through tonight and didn't ensure the job was done right or even close to at all."

Garage door services FAQs

Garage door repairs cost $260 on average but can range anywhere from $80 to $675. Factors such as the type of repair needed, the style of your garage door, and the material your door is made of all play a part in the final price tag.

For example, wood garage doors look beautiful but are prone to dents, splitting, and cracks that are difficult to fix. You can expect to spend an average of $200 to $300 to repair your wooden garage door. Fiberglass garage doors are more durable and less expensive to fix, averaging around $100 to $200.

The cost of replacing garage door panels is around $1,200 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few factors, you could pay as little as $250 or as much as $3,000 or more. Considerations like panel style and the type of garage door you have all factor into what you pay.

While sectional garage doors are common among homeowners, they are often the most expensive to replace, averaging around $700 to $2,400. Tilt-up garage doors, which are the simplest door available, range from $400 to $1,400.

Annual to biannual routine garage door maintenance is vital to extending its life as much as possible. Most importantly, noticing any unusual sounds or movements and taking care of them as soon as possible is one of the best ways to maintain your garage door. Keeping the tracks clear of dirt and debris and lubricating the rollers and other moving parts twice a year will also help to get the most out of your door.

Even though garage doors can last 15 to 30 years, it’s important to recognize the signs of wear and tear or other damage that might cause the need for a repair or replacement. A big sign that your garage door needs repair or replacement is the door not opening and closing correctly, including moving slower than usual. Also, if you notice that your garage door is becoming warped or overly weathered, it’s time to call a professional to discuss your options and tips for buying a new garage door.

Garage doors generally last between 15 to 30 years, depending on many factors. Your location plays an essential role in your garage door’s lifespan—doors exposed to harsh elements like heavy rain or intense heat might not last as long as those installed in a milder climate. How often you use your garage door also factors into its overall lifespan. Generally, standard garage door springs can withstand 20,000 cycles, whereas tension springs typically last between 5,000 and 10,000.
