Shaun no showed 3 times before he sealed the driveway. But he had to return to redo the driveway because he never filled the cracks and used old sealer. As far as the house it took about another month to return and when he did he put two paint spots on the front of the house that were two different colors. He said he would return next weekend to paint the house. It took numerous phone calls to finally get him to power wash the house. After that Shaun had excuse after excuse as to why he could not be there to finish the job. About a month or so later Shaun was on the news for running a con by collecting money for a cancer drive for kids and keeping the money. He was also want in Florida on a felony warrant.
Description of Work: Shaun was suppose to seal our driveway and paint the house.
As I stated above, he did do most of the work, but 1/2 of it was a shabby job. I'm worried about the plumbing/faucets not working properly in time as well. He did do an ok job on cementing the cracks in the garage and coating it nicely. It was pretty bad and he fixed it up pretty good - that job was supposed to take 2 days and it took a week. he did not fill in the cracks on the driveway (as promised) before he tarred it and then said he would retar it, but hasn't yet and I don't know if he will. He has told me so many times he would be here to finish up and he never shows up and several times won't answer my calls. The faucets appear to be done satisfactorily and do not leak as they previously did. I'm praying he did them correctly and I'm not screwed in the winter if they freeze up or time shows that he did a bad job. For now, they appear to be good. He did a crappy job of replacing the tiles he tore out to get at the pipes however and they will need to be fixed by someone else, as I'm not letting him back in my home because I found out from someone who went to the police on him that he has spent time in jail. I don't want him back in my home now as I don't know what he was in jail for. I don't know if that's true or not I must add. It just scares me enough to want to be done with him. The porch staining job was horrific as there were several missed spots and he got stain on my new siding. He did eventually fix those mistakes and supposedly fired the person who did the bad job. I can't even tell you how many times I was inconvenienced by this man waiting on him (I am a school employee and am off during the summer) to show up and finish his work...many, many days. The stress was really getting to me. I just don't want others to get sucked in by his charm like I did...
Description of Work: Sean was going door to door looking for work representing himself as someone who could do anything. He noticed my driveway needed repair and after discussion about other needs around the house, he was hired to fix the cement floor in the garage, seal the cracks in the driveway and tar it, replace the two outside faucets, and stain the porch. Almost a month later, he still hasn't finished the job. He was paid on 6/26 after doing the driveway and the garage floor and promising to finish up the faucets that same day. It took him weeks to finish the faucets. One of his employees stained my porch and did a horrific job - there was stain all over my new siding and door, which after telling him about the same day, wasn't cleaned off until the following afternoon. Sean would say he would be at my house at a certain time almost every day for weeks and never show up or not call most of the time. When he would call he would make up a lie about having to be in Eau Claire to get some plumbing supplies - not realizing that I'm not stupid and know we have several plumbing s upply companies right here in Rice Lake where he could get supplies. He was always coming up with lies to buy time, when what he was actually doing was accepting other jobs and doing the first, thinking that calling me (a single woman in my 40's and obese) could be held off by calling me "sweetie" and smooth talking me. NOT!!! I caught him in SO many lies it was unreal. The work he ended up doing was so so except for the way he replaced the ceiling tiles he tore out to get at the pipes to replace the faucets. I don't know if this will let me post a picture of his work, but all he did was buy tiles that didn't match (in the remnant pile) and screw them up overlapping the other tiles instead of cutting them down and fitting them in. He also promised to fill in the cracks on the driveway and recoat it and still hasn't done that. I have since talked to other people through facebook and found out he has also scammed others in my town who have paid him up front and are still waiting on him to finish their work. I cannot stress enough how you DO NOT want to be stuck dealing with this person. The stress was overwhelming!
