What a great crew! I called them for a quote- they were incredibly responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Kyle came out to take a look- he came well equipped and efficiently collected the needed data. I'd be happy to work with him again. This team is a well run machine and will get your needs done quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

I first started on their website, answered 10 questions then they said for emergencies call them directly. The girl on call said she would put me on the list as we had 10 people who needed to use the bathroom, and to cook for. It was flooding in all our drains of the house after waiting all day I called to ask approximately what time they would be coming no one called me back until today!! That would be 9 days later, what a joke. We called Mike's plumbing in Eagle River which came within a half hour and was very reasonable! Don't waste your time with Fraiser Plumming.

The plumber did a good job and was prompt but when they say $99 for estimate and if you do the work it's not part of it I would have to question that. Pretty expensive water line.

Description of Work: Installed well pump for my mother. Another issue came up after this installation that they wished to bill her another $1800 dollars worth after already billing her $2400.00 for well pump replacement. We ended up going with another service for the second part which cost less than 1/4 of the Frasier bid. Original well pump installation found to be extremely overpriced as well.

Description of Work: They have been doing my annual maintenance on our Weil-McClain boiler system for 3 years through their Partner Plan. Our system is only 6 1/2 years old. With this last visit they first off needed AA batteries for one of their tools they use for diagnosing and reading the system, since I live out in the country I gave them 4 batteries. They worked on the system for many hours. Lots of running in and out of the house and Jasen the main tech (who has 19 years experience with Fraisers)had a lot of phone calls that caused him to need to leave and sit in the truck many times. They asked immediately for the owners manual before they serviced the system. They also told me that the tech who was coming to my house the previous 2 years was fired for not following through. Last year he installed the incorrect sized filter in our furnace (we have an odd size and can't find it) and we didn't notice until a year later. (They did finally find the right size and sent it to us at no charge). When they left they told us that our system was installed wrong. They said it needed primary and secondary piping and a loop installed, it was piped wrong- $1889. The pumps that run the water were running too fast and were the wrong size causing the boiler to run too hot and is warping the head, 3 pumps at $389/pump. A new gas valve gasket as it is leaking gas- $39 Finally the gas piping to the system wasn't large enough and needed to be replaced. $789. They claimed our system wasn't running efficiently and would save us 50% in gas if we had this work done. After they left our boiler wouldn't fire and they had to come back hours later to reset it. We paid for a consult by another company who was listed on the Weil-McClain website as certified contractors for their systems. They found no gas leak, the primary piping could be replaced for around $600, but wasn't necessary, the pumps are 3 speed and could be turned down, nothing else was wrong. I actually fired this company and stopped their partner plan. This was a very cold winter but they rescheduled this appointment 3 times. I was very disappointed with this company and would not recommend them. When I questioned all the work they wanted to do and especially the fact the the water pumps were 3 speeds and they weren't listed on the Weil-McClain website they responded that they stopped installing these systems because they had problems with them and maybe he just didn't look under the pump to notice it was 3 speeds.

The replacement of the P-trap cost $800. The parts (pvc pipe components- no mechanical or moving items) would be less than $100. The technician was at our home for 2.5 hours which means Frasiers charged us about $280 per hour. They say they don't charge by the hour, but this seems like a good way to hide how much they charge. My husband paid the bill and when I got home and got a full understanding of what was done, I researched the job online. When I found out Chicago plumbers do the same job at less than half the price I was upset. I emailed Frasiers to find out if there had been some error in the billing. They called me back once, said they would have to talk to the plumber who did the work and they would call me back. Of course, they never did. Wouldn't return any of my calls either. Guess they operate on a "take the money and run" philosophy. They sure profited obscenely off of our ignorance of plumbing. Any time I hear anyone needed plumbing work I make sure to warn them about these swindlers.

Called for a preseason check and they came out did that service and charged me $300 . Three days later the boiler stopped working they came out on Oct 29 { another $100 } and the tech told me it needed a inducer motor and would get back to me about the cost. After waiting a full 7 days I call the office and they know nothing about it and sends another tech out { another $100 } and tells me I need a inducer motor. After trying to sell me a $15,000 boiler, my boiler is less then 10 years old. It is Nov 7 today and now they tell me they will be out to fix it Nov 21. This is northern Wi with no heat in my house for a whole month. I will update this when and if Frasiers finishes the job. They are not fast or friendly. They want your money and don't care if your feezeing you butt off. Going to be in the teens tonight and it's starting to snow. Thank you Frasiers for not fixing my boiler and taking my money

The overall experience was Excellent. All services were performed with professionalism and attention to detail. They were able to give us immediate feedback on the best replacements for our bathroom. We were kept informed about any concerns they encountered as well as providing us with photos of the progress. This was an excellent experience and the outcome was terrific. We will use them again for our plumbing and heating needs.

It was in the middle of winter and my daughter was months old and my heater goes out. It was in the middle of the night and the heat was leaving quickly from the house. (It is an older house) Called fraisers because they were the only one that does emergiences. When they told me and my husband the price I basically started crying because we really did not have the money at the moment. I know has a company this is not their fault but the rates where way more because yes it was in the middle of the night and on the weekend. Understandable, I am not disappointed in the prices that is very understandable my problem was that they did not have some time of refinancing program or would cut us a little bit of slack. For a couple reasons, I had proof I was coming into money in two days (it was the weekend so I was waiting for it to come by mail.) Second, I had a months old baby who was getting cold and I really did not have anywhere to go other wise I would not have made a big deal. Third the person we talked to (granted it was late at night) when getting in the discuss on how we where going to pay or lack there of, person become testy a and just soundly like they did not want to deal with us anymore after we said we where having troubles coming up with the full amount upfront. Explain the situation financial but it just made the person my testy and did not want to hear it. Told them we would call them back, which sadly we did, did try calling around to see if anyone had a 24/7 line which they did not. Luckly a family friend woke up and had that kind of money laying around. Call them back. Now on the tech side of things, I can tell he was tired but when he enter he was friendly and smiling. He worked quickly knowing the whole purpose was to warm the house up for the baby. Once done, we laugh and joke a bit and then we was on his way. He came quickly, fix it quickly, and told us how to maintain our heating system. Ever since then we did not have a problem.

Wanted to camera the line for $500 more but eventually came down to $150 even with the warrantee for the April blockage but declined their offer. Fraisers said wouldn't honor the warrantee any more. Got someone else to come out and other company cleaned out the line and found no blockage but it has been fine ever since. Fraisers came right away which was nice. Very high charge for the service which was 6 times higher than other company charged who fixed the problem. It seemed like the blockage was moved from one part of the sewer system to another by Fraisers. Even had the city come and check the city sewer lines, which were ok. Have always had Fraisers come to fix things and had inconsistent satisfaction with the quality of their work. Would not use them again.
Description of Work: Sewer in basement backed up. Came in December 2012 and cleaned out and got out a blockage. Bought their warrantee that it was fixed. Came back in February when backed up again and they augered the line but found nothing. Came back in April when backed up again and augered the line and found nothing.

Excellent, however 2 days later I noticed a leak of coolant. Being a Sunday morning at 6am and leaving for home I sent a text to the person who sold us the units. I did not expect to hear from anyone on a Sunday but he returned my text and picked up my key and took care of fixing the leak. It was not the fault of Frasier's but the manufacturer had the wrong type of pressure component and because of this the unit leaked. Within a couple of hours he had a man out there to put in the correct component. He said he would follow up until he was satisfied that there was not leak. The 2 installers, Pete and Jeff were very professional and cleaned up when they were all finished. The person who sold us the units, Jasen Price, was very professional and went out of his way to make sure that all work performed was up to standards.

Frasier's service man did not take the pump apart. Instead he quoted $3,500 to replace the pump, the water tank and do the work. I asked for a detailed breakdown of the costs. He said he would have the office contact me. When I spoke with his office, the $3,500 cost was confirmed but I was told that they do not itemize their work. All work is done by the job. I contacted another plumber who came and took the pump apart. He said he could repair the pump for less than $200. He did the work and charged me $137. Water service was restored to our home and the pump has worked without a problem.

The service man came out and gave us a quote immediately of twice of what another plumber had stated. The other plumber took notes and then went to the office and a few days later gave us the quote. When we decided not to go with them a few weeks later they decided to charge us a service fee for NO work at all.

The promptness, professionalism and quality of work were fine. We definitely appreciated having them come and fix it while we were away. However, the price was ridiculous. The cost of a new condensate pump at Home Depot, etc. turns out to be between $50 and $100. The replacement consisted of unplugging the old pump, sliding it out from under the drain hose, setting down the new one, inserting the hose in the opening, and turning it on, maybe 5 minutes. With the service call, the total was over $600!!! Yes it was a Sunday afternoon, but come on. Later I noticed that our credit card was being charge $10 or $12 per month. I called to see what that was about and they had us on a scheduled maintenance program. I do not recall agreeing to this, although it is possible. When we finally called them to cash in on the service that we had (by then) already paid for (~$120 as I recall), the technician came out and "found" other significant "issues" that needed addressing, to the tune of an estimate for several hundred dollars more work*. When I called their office to complain about the outrageous prices, I was told (what sounded like the rep had been taught to say as a standard response to price complaints): "there have been a number of competitors in this area who have gone out of business because they did not charge enough." Well, competitors go out of business for a lot of reasons, including charging too much. We won't be using Frasier in the future. * -- We did not do the service at the time. Later we used another vendor whose price was considerably lower.
Description of Work: We have a second home in northern Wisconsin. On one visit, as we were leaving, we noticed that the furnace was leaking water. We didn't have time to investigate the cause. We called Frasier, whose name was on the furnace. They sent out a technician promptly--during our absence--who investigated and determined that the problem was a failed condensate pump, and he replaced it. After that they put us on their scheduled maintenance program. (Note: I am going from memory on the date for this. It could be within +/- 12 months either way.

Frasiers' replaced a water heater over a year ago. I believe, at that time, there was no mention of a venting issue, nor do we see it on the receipt notes. A few months later, our heating/air conditioning serviceman mentioned he did not think it had been properly sealed at the chimney. Last fall, Frasiers' also removed the anode rod from the water heater because of a sulpher smell/taste in our water. Notes on that same water heater, tell of a venting problem. After a pinhole leak in plastic tubing to a refrigerator ice maker this past January, we decided to deal with the "venting issue", replace the icemaker waterline with copper tubing, and replace a shower control in a bathroom. Arrangements were made with Frasiers' well in advance to do the work on June 11, and 12th if needed. When setting the appointment via phone, we referenced the copy of extensive notes left by the previous serviceman describing the need for a chimney liner. The service date was set for June 11. I purchased and provided the parts needed for the shower control replacement. The serviceman sent was the same who originally described the problem with the venting. He also brought a helper with him. After 2 to 2!/2 hours, he determined that an unknown obstruction prevented him from installing a new chimney liner and would need to return another day with the proper tools to find out the problem. It was around 2 hours to replace the icemaker line. It took almost 3 hours to replace the shower control with the provided parts. He also said he found a water pipe "hanging loosely" in the crawl space and that it needed to be secured it with a bracket. Everyone working for Frasiers' have been consistently prompt and polite, and the charges reasonable throughout the years I have worked with them. I understand that the prices are by the job, not the hour. But I feel the charges for the waterline, bracket, and the shower were extremely excessive. The timeframes for 2-man job completions are interesting. I am not retired, so I lost at least a day's pay to attend to this service call. Previously, Frasiers' gave use an estimated charge for the chimney liner and waterline of about $800.
