Description of Work: Couch needed to be reupholstered.

Description of Work: Royal Upholstery has done many projects for me over the years, some small and some large. They do wonderful work and are careful to listen to the customer. For an earlier chair that I bought on ebay I had a copy of the original ad, so they were able to figure out how to do the upholstery as originally intended. | |Most recently I had them fix up an old platform rocker that my mother had upholstered many years ago. The cushions were fine (Royal Upholstery had previously replace the foam), but the back fabric had broken through. Thye picked up the chair and found wonderful matching fabric for the back as well as new decorative tape for the front. They also replaced the nailheads. This chair was in their shop previously for them to replace the springs and put stops so that it wouldn't tip when someone leans back. They stops match the original wood well. | |I should say that this chair is totally not my style as our furniture is MCM, but as a family heirloom it is precious. I use it in my office.

Description of Work: They reupholstered a teak rocking chair.

Description of Work: They reupholstered 10 dining room chairs six of which I bought on Craig's List and four of which were from my former kitchen set. This included new foam, oiling and polishing the teak, and installing felt pads to prevent the chairs scratching the floor. Larry brought several books of potential fabrics when he picked up the chairs. I called in my choice and he picked up the books the next week. Note: a trip to Racine is not necessary. It was three weeks from the time the chairs were picked up until they were delivered. The chairs are beautiful--better than new. He does a wonderful job on Scandinavian furniture, not something others have been able to pull off. However, earlier tasks have involved antiques, which have also been done well.

Description of Work: Fixed our platform rocker with wedges so that it won't go back so far that it tips over. The wedges match the original wood so well that one would think that they have been there all the time. They were installed with screws on the inside so that the wedges can be moved or removed with no marks visible. Recovered the center of a card table with ultrasuede and touched up the wood. Reglued 3 dining room chairs. Replaced the foam in two cushions for a hide-a-bed
