About us

RHI is a Trade Ally of Focus on Energy and all our home owners receive an immediate 33% savings on labor and material costs. In case you did not know, Focus on Energy (FOE) is a program funded through a utility tax (from your utility company - WE Energies). Simply put, FOE will pay for a lot of work as long as you agree to have the job done professionally and with the use of scientific equipment. Understandably, FOE must be able to document how much energy is saved with each home that goes through the program. The science equipment we use identifies the areas where you are losing energy AND quantifies how much energy you are losing. That is where we come in! As an experienced insulation and energy efficiency contractor, we are approved by Focus on Energy to assess your home's energy efficiency needs. We use a rigid process of scientific evaluation, including a blower door depressurization test and scan of your home using a $5,000 thermal imaging camera. Don't pay someone else who will "guess" at what your home needs. Higher a qualified professional like us and make sure you capture the 33%-75% savings. When you hire RHI you get more work done at a higher level of quality and you pay less. It's that simple! We are a small company with low overhead. We have two dedicated employees, Tim and Justin, both born and raised in Racine and Kenosha, that work along side owners Rob Chumbley and Matt Kranich. This means a company owner is ALWAYS on site during the work. You will work with Matt and Rob from start to finish. You will first meet with one of us for a free cost estimate. Rob, Tim and Justin will perform all of the required work. Matt, as a BPI Certified Building Analyst will perform the pre and post home energy assessment. Call and ask to see if you qualify for a FREE home energy assessment and greater cost savings (75%) based on income levels. We are also dedicated to safety and quality work. As a certified Lead Safe and Asbestos Abatement contractor, RHI has the training and experience to keep our customers, their homes and our employees safe.

As an experienced insulation and energy efficiency contractor we are able to perform all needed air sealing and insulation work. This includes attic, wall, ceiling, rim joist (sill box) and basement insulation. As a certified BPI Building Analyst, we are also qualified to assess your home's energy efficiency needs before and after the work is completed. Finally, we are also experts at the removal or vermiculite, slate siding and asbestos pipe wrap.

At this time we do not abate lead from homes or remove asbestos floor tiles.

Awesome job! Awesome crew! Crew is respectful, caring, communication was great, cleaned up after themselves, even gave some advice on some items needing to be fixed and fixed some things and they were funny :) I enjoyed taking to each one of them :) my daughter laughed as one was singing Christmas songs while working in the attic. For being in a hot attic most of the day, don’t know how you guys do it! Thank you so much, did a perfect job! I’ll be referring friends and family!

RHI did an excellent job on our home. They communicated well, texting and speaking with my wife when she had questions. They were very clear about their process, and their timeline for completion of the project. Then they actually did what they said they would do. The best part is they left our house warm, cozy, and looking like they weren't even there. A+

It was a pleasure to work with Matt and Rob on our project. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of the questions I had surrounding attic insulation. Matt was very accommodating to our needs as we were in the process of selling our house. They run a fair and honest company, and I'm glad to have had them perform the work. Theirs was the most competitive quote that we received from five different contractors. Both owners are very friendly and professional!
