+ -1 moreContractor is expen$ive, and appears uninterested in smaller jobs. My understanding is that he is just starting his business; from his website, his work looks quite impressive - unfortunately, he hasn't learned yet that smaller jobs lead to larger jobs (had he worked out, I probably would have had him do windows and my kitchen remodel.)
Description of Work: We asked Scott for bids on installing porch railings, two handrails and replacing a single interior stair tread. His original estimate was $1500; ballooned to $2100, and when I asked him for an estimate to replace the single interior stair tread, that was $200. I had asked him to do the stair tread replacement; however, after two weeks he never bothered to respond to any emails or call me back, so I'm assuming that he's uninterested in smaller work.

+ -1 moreScott Lahr is a perfectionist in everything he does. From the start of the project to the final clean up every thing was done with the utmost professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a carpenter. He is far too modest about his skills and I would give him a A+ if I had to put a grade on his work.
Description of Work: We provided the material for a 10x18 single car garage. Scott Lahr did all the rough carpentry for our half log garage. Framing in the walls and putting up the rafters for the roof. He did the exterior walls in half log which complimented our existing log home beautifully. He did such a nice job that people think the small garage was built the same time as the house.

+ -1 moreScott was very punctual and neat. He was very professional in everything he did. He did an exceptional job on the tile and everyone who sees it thinks it looks wonderful. I would refer him to anyone who needs an expert tile installer and finish carpenter.
Description of Work: Scott Lahr did all the finished carpentry in the kitchen of our new home, he hung the cabinets and did all the finished trim for the cabinets. He also did the the tile back splash in the kitchen and installed the bathroom vanities and countertops in both of our bathrooms.
