Building Waters

Building Waters was very responsive to both email and phone calls. Work was done quickly and professionally., at a fair price. I would certainly recommend them to a friend and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

It went very well. Replaced by sears and only had to pay for installation. Saved a bunch of money. Thanks Building Waters It is nice to see integrity for a change.

The technician arrived on time and, since it was a rainy day, removed his boots as to not track mud into the house. He then proceeded to disconnect the old gas line and install a new gas line to a newly purchased gas stove. He then hooked up the stove, tested for any gas leaks, and finally installed the stove back into position. He then cleaned up after himself before leaving. I then asked him about another plumbing job we have in mind (replacing a corner shower stall in bathroom). He looked at the site and gave us his recommendations as to best handle the situation. Based on our experience with Building Waters, we will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

Plumber called ahead to say he was running early on the scheduled day. I gave him permission to arrive early. He arrived clean and polite with a heavy duty power snake and got to work. He mopped up the basement area after finishing the work, and accepted a credit card for payment.

In and out in no time. Everything cleaned up. Very satisfied.

Service was good. He came over and realized that there was not much to do. He had to just take a piece off from something. I just paid the service charge. I liked him because he was so honest and very friendly. In fact I purchased a big deal for 129$. So I kept the big deal for any subsequent visit and paid him the service charge alone.

Very helpful. He completed the tasks requested. He provided information on how to avoid future calls. He even drew a picture of my bathtub drain and explained how it worked so I could make an educated effort to clean it should it need cleaning. He left a pen behind and let me keep it when I called him and asked him if he wanted it back! I bought an Angie's list coupon for this service. The total amount spent on the coupon and the remaining amount after the coupon was applied is the approximate cost of service that I reflected in this review. on time, professional, got in got the work done, gave some education on the sump pump line going out to the street, on how to keep the line from freezing in the winter.. over all very satisfied

This was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased back in late October 2014. Couldn't schedule it any time sooner due to my schedule. My water heater was installed in 1982 according to my father's records. In the time since I moved back in as a care giver around 2000, no maintenance had been done on it. After purchasing the Angie's list Deal I sent an e-mail to Wesley Rosenthal, the main person over at Building Waters. I informed him that I had purchased the deal on AL and that I would be in contact with him regarding scheduling the service call. He contacted me back and asked if I could send pictures of the unit to be replaced which I did. There was then several months of nothing while I tried to figure out when I could make the time to get them in to do the work. We finally scheduled for March 2nd. I resent pictures of the unit as requested. The installer arrived about 8:15 and was done by about 10:30 am. When he walked in I immediately informed him that this service call was part of an Angie's List Deal and that was bought and paid for. He went to work immediately and my old water heater was replaced by a high efficiency Rheem . As part of the deal they removed the old water heater and disposed of it. The installer was courteous and prompt. When I asked questions he provided answers and the work sight was left spotless. Overall I am very satisfied with the work that was done and with Building Waters although I have a few issues that knocked them down to a B. 1. This new water heater has a ground clearance of about 1/2". This might work in the first or second floor of a condo or apartment building, but my heater is in the basement of a 100 year old house. I worry the lack of clearance in a damp basement will cause this unit to rust prematurely on the bottom not to mention possible flooding issues. I didn't notice the problem until it was already installed. Neither Building Waters nor their installer said anything about this which I found odd because all the people I have talked to who have installed these heaters have said the clearance was an issue for rust. This is something to be on the look out if you are getting a water heater installed. Talk to the installer about adding some clearance especially for a basement or damp area installation. 2. I knew that when I turned on my faucets after the install that I needed to pull all the aerators on my faucets so they wouldn't plug up with sediment. While the installer did a great job installing the unit he never said anything about this. I called Building Waters and spoke to them about it after he left. As it turns out my kitchen faucet didn't survive this stage and I ended up replacing it because the main stem got blocked up so badly that all I got out of it was a trickle of water. I'm not blaming them for this, but it would have been nice if the installer had said something about it. 3. When I talked to Wesley R. at Building Waters he seemed to be almost a little put off that I was operating through Angie's List for this deal. I never would have found or hired him had he not offered this deal through them so I found it odd that he was recommending that I go to him directly in the future.

The guy who did the work was really really nice but it took FOREVERRRRRRR for the job to be completed which didn't fully get completed. The plumber came in the company van but apparently the van was empty because he had to go to the hardware store at least 3 - 4 times. Maybe the guy was new.. I don't know but it cost me wayyyyy too much to still have at toilet that's not working.

It was fine. The only problem was when he came over, he didn’t bring the right shut off for it, so he had to go to a hardware store and get it. So it just took a little longer that way. I asked him if I could an estimate on some other stuff and he said he would call and he never called. The price was good. He did a decent job. He was on time. He didn’t have the part with him when he came and when I called him over the phone I had told him what I needed so he should have had it. I would use them again if they want to get here because for them it is like 60 to 80 miles so I don’t know if they want to do that.

The service was good. It went smoothly. There was no additional cost to the $99 Big Deal.

He was fantastic. He did work on my mother?s house. He told me that my mother was the sweetest thing. He brought a new toilet, took the old one out, and replaced it. They were very clean, very kind, and very generous. The owner specifically made sure the job was done this well.

Contractor contacted me soon after buying the deal through Angie's List. I had not yet purchased the toilet as I wanted to get the advice of the contractor. He offered a couple suggestions. One of the toilets he recommended was on sale at Menards so I bought one (actually, two as I was having two installed). The contractor arrived promptly at the scheduled time and completed the installation and hauling away the old units quickly and professionally. I'm very happy with the performance of the toliets he recommended. A great experience overall.

After discussing the situation with Wesley we decided that instead of installing a new toilet that we would fix and reseat the current one. Building Waters went above and beyond to fix the issue.

The gentleman was on-time and professional. He knew what needed to be done and even had to leave a couple of times to get parts. I was afraid the cost was going to be more than the deal I purchased and it wasn't. It took an hour and I am so relieved to have it fixed!

Bough a big deal coupon. Wanted a clogged drain snaked. Cost including coupon was almost $200, which seems very high for a clogged drain. Has been unclogged in past in 15 min.

The serviceman actually came a day early because he was in the neighborhood and that worked out well for both of us. He was very polite and efficient. The job took only about 30minutes and it seemed to make a difference how the water heater was working. Before, we had a lot of crackling when I was washing clothes, but that has tapered off. I had a very positive experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone in need.

I purchased a Deal for $79 that included trip charge and 1hr of labor. Wesley was extremely responsive and easy to work with regarding an appointment time for the service. He had good suggestions to help keep the cost down and how best to use my coupon. The young man that came was very polite and considerate of our home, and explained what he found and what he would do. I would definitely recommend this company.

We wanted someone to check our toilet as it seemed to be running constantly. I set up an appointment with the owner and asked him to fit me in as soon as possible as I was going out of town. They were able to fit me in and a plumber came on time. He adjusted the toilet and it did not stop running so he had to change a small part. It stopped running for a little while then after he left it started running loudly and even more than before. I had to call again to schedule them to come back and the plumber came back and checked it again and then replaced the flapper. He did not charge me for the second trip, which was nice, but it seems that it should have been adjusted correctly the first time.

There were some issues with the scheduling but overall the service was performed as expected.

I haven't used their services yet but they we're prompt in teaching me to schedule.
