Description of Work: Did not have the common part needed to fix the issue on the truck, so needed to go and get one at a local store. As we were wrapping up paperwork, I was first informed that charges included travel time, including to the store to get the part. What I thought was a $79 deal turned into double plus that. I felt the travel information, distance required and potential additional charges should have been disclosed and part of the original conversation, as I would not have considered a vendor needing to drive an hour just to get to the property.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for a service, and received fairly prompt responses by text and phone about scheduling. I was unavailable at his preferred times and needed to postpone the service a few weeks due to my work schedule. When I re-contacted him to schedule the prepaid service, I did not receive a response.

Description of Work: We had a continuing plumbing problem which they were quick to diagnose. They were very knowledgeable and professional and very friendly - easy to work with. They took time to respond to our questions in a way we could understand, and showed us how to prevent the problem from occuring in the future.

Description of Work: the workmenship was good, but the $49 I paid to Angie's list was not really subtracted from what it should cost to put 2 bathroom faucets in. I though the $361 charged + the $49 = $410 is excessive charge for the amount of work done and the time spent.

Description of Work: I bought the deal for an estimate and the price went towards any service I had done. I am a young woman and I felt very uncomfortable the entire time he was there. He was asking questions about me which were too personal. Very unprofessional. We had horrible water pressure and he didn't say much about how it could be improved but then gave a big estimate to have some pipes replaced which he couldn't even say would fix the problem. Come to find out on our own after he left that the problem was a dirty water filter which was slowing down our pressure. He did not mention anything about that and he checked out all the pipes all around the whole house.

+ 0 moreIt seemed to go very well. I called them in the morning and Wes answered. He was polite and helpful. If I had been home he probably would've sent someone right over, but since I was at work (since I didn't feel a pressing need to fix a clog sink) we scheduled a time for someone to come over. The guy that came was polite, nice, and considerate. He asked before he did things. He informed me what he'd be doing before he did them. I appreciate that. I only put an N/A on the price because I have no idea if it is a fair price or not. We've never had to use a plumber before and I honestly didn't feel like "shopping" for one. Although, my husband and I were okay with the charge and have no disputes about it.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink was backed up. They cleared out the pipe.

+ 0 moreAt mid-day on a Sunday afternoon we realized we had a serious problem with our sewer system with a backup in the basement. We tried calling other plumbers and were told they could not be available until the following day. We got the number for Building Waters from Angie's List. Wesley "triaged" the problem over the phone to see if we really had to have the services performed on Sunday (as it would cost us more). We decided we could not wait. Wesley came over within the hour, explained to us everything he was observing as he figured out the issue, and then promptly solved the problem. He was polite, courteous and attentive to our concerns about not making the mess even worse in the house. He was GREAT! We did pay a premium for the Sunday service, of course, but it was well worth it. We will be using him again for a house improvement project we have planned for later this year.
Description of Work: Wesley responded very quickly to our request for emergency assistance for a backed up basement sewer drain and solved the problem efficiently and professionally.

+ -1 moreAfter 3 days of trying to unfreeze frozen pipes, on Wednesday they finally thawed and burst! I knew enough to turn off the well pump to stop the water from flooding into my kitchen, but couldn't really see where it was coming from. I started calling names from the yellow pages, but either got voice mails or exhausted plumbers who weren't sure when they could come out. So I checked out Angie's List and the 3rd name I called was Wesley from Building Waters. He picked up right away, asked the right questions and listened to my answers. I told him that the leak seemed to be coming from the crawlspace, under the well pump, and will be hard to get to. I called him at 9:15 am and he said he would come with tools in hand at 12:30. When his previous call was running long, he called to say he was running late but was on his way. When he arrived he was personable and ready to get to work. He made jokes to keep my spirits up and stayed positive even when things weren't coming out as he expected. He took the time to find new solutions until the job was done correctly. He also came with all possible tools, parts and accessories that he would possibly need for the job. My house is old, and the plumbing is a nightmare! It looks like a child put it together, plus it's in a small utility closet with no assess to the crawlspace. It wasn't an easy job, but in less than 3hrs, he was done. He double checked for leaks, made sure all the faucets worked and gave me tips on how to keep the pipes from freezing in the future. After cleaning up his tools and extra parts, he was off to another call. I will absolutely call him again for any plumbing needs and refer him to friends and family!

+ 0 moreNoticed leak at the hot water heater on Saturday evening. Called "Building Waters" (Wesley) on the way home from church on Sunday to schedule an appointment. I figured it be Monday at the earliest. To my surprise he was at my house in less than an hour with a new 50 gallon Rheem water heater with a nine year warranty! Couple hours later, old water heater removed and disposed of, new water heater professional installed and hot water to do laundry, dishes and to shower with! I could not be more pleased!
