Frey was quick to provide a reasonable quote and detailed plan to bring our deck stairs safely up to code. Frey carpenters were polite, efficient and clearly experts in their craft. I'm more than satisfied with their work and will definitely hire them again for any future repair/construction needs!

The Frey team was excellent to work with. The office quickly got me scheduled for Will to come out and provide an estimate to repair wind damage from a storm just two days ago. After 18 years of the initial remodeling project (windows, doors, roof, insulation, siding) I noticed what appeared water damage behind the siding in the corner between the house and garage. Scott Frey assessed the matter and found indeed a rotting plywood sheet. Scott sent one of his employees (JJ) to repair the problem. JJ was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and had excellent craftsmanship. He completed the work swiftly and professionally in one morning. Scott stood by his standard and promise. He completed the work under warranty. A great company right in my neighborhood. Thank you.

HIGHLY recommend Frey Construction & Home Improvement, LLC. They went above and beyond on my roofing project. They fixed broken screens on vents, asked for touch up paint after stripping off 3 layers of shingle (oops, didn't have any), fixed places where my rotten fascia fell apart. They added black molding to places where it looked bad once the old roof was torn off, to make it look nice. They put everything back where they found it. They thought the AC unit looked new (YEP!) and took extra care to make sure it didn't get dinged up. They were super detail-oriented. Always closed the gate when they left so I wouldn't make a mistake with the dogs. Super nice crew. I can't say enough nice things about them. They also completed a bathroom remodel as well. Beautiful job! Jenn was fantastic on the design and so was Ashley on project management. Couldn't be happier. Looks amazing, fits the home, and maximized the space available. LOVE it! Detail oriented, responsive!

I so wanted to move before we had to replace the roof on our circa 1960 architecturally interesting beast of a flat roof. But when we were doing what we thought were modest fixes to prepare for painting, we discovered a "squishy" roof and couldn't put it out. Thanks to suggestions from friends and info from Angi, we got 3 estimates from 3 great companies. All agreed the roof needed replaced, each suggested a different substance but all 3 prices were about the same. We worked with Tyler who educated us just enough to help us make an informed decision. What set the Frey estimate apart was they included a lower roof, gutters, new coping (we all know how these jobs seem to creep) and it was August and they said they thought they could get it done before the end of the year. Once you know you roof needs replaced, it seems like it rains every day and you want it done. He explained there were others before us, and Tammy kept us in the loop. Hand to God, in December, it was our turn. As promised, they got it done before the end of the year. I wasn't sure about having it done in December, but they worked quickly. We were updated about the schedule. It was Covid so we didn't have contact. When the snow melted we found very little roofing debris and they came out to pick up any materials that remained. We paid for everything, we were fine but then friends and neighbors pointed out the color we chose didn't work with the house. We chose white, but we didn't realize how much of the roof was roof and how much was white. I emailed my concerned, Tammy forwarded it to her people. Jason, John and Lyncs came back and were professional and kind and suggested a way to tone down the white. Again, I was updated and they replaced, covered over, I'm not sure what else and we couldn't be happier. It was our fault and we were fully prepared to pay for the extra supplies and time - but Frey Construction did it for no extra charge. Like I said, I didn't want to do a roof and I hope I never have to do a roof again. But if you need a roof, Frey is the company to go with. I felt they wanted to do a great job and wanted us to be happy and they did both of those things. A homeowner had to trust with a new roof. I don't think I'll ever see it, but I know it was done well. It's a quirky house with interesting architecture and a 50 year old roof that hasn't leaked. Previous homeowners thought about replacing it but didn't. I get it. We are so happy to have this in the rear view mirror and grateful to everyone at Frey's. If you think you might need to replace your roof, don't wait til August to contact roofers. But if that happens to you, go to Frey.

I had a small job of clearing a rain gutter that was clogged - but needed this completed prior to heavy rains that were coming. I can't thank Frey Construction enough. They were so responsive by phone and e-mail and fit me into their busy schedule within a day or so. I so appreciated their willingness to rearrange their work to get my job completed - very customer focused. You don't find that with many companies now days. I'd recommend Frey Construction for any future roof or gutter work. And thank you Tammy for working behind the scenes to make this happen!

The initial project only took two days as a full crew was brought in (the second day being the gutter, downspout replacements and gutter 'cover' crew of two). The second day crew was especially good. Stellar employee Nick was extremely helpful on that first day, and worked very well with me with a glitch or two that he took care of a week later. I cannot say enough about his work ethic, concern, and skill. Scott Frey is going out of his way to make certain this client is satisfied that her house is looking good! I can understand why Frey Construction has such a very good reputation.

Our experience with Frey was excellent. They re-roofed our entire house and replaced three skylights in just a few days total time. The process went well and the final product is excellent.

Frey construction was very responsive...we were coordinating the new roof and some solar panel installations and they were very good about being clear what they needed from us and from the solar company. They showed up on time, they finished in one day vs. the two promised (they probably brought some extra people) and cleaned up everything very nicely. I would certainly highly recommend them. Chris

I wanted a screen room to be built on my open deck - it was hard to even find people who would look at the project, at where I live in rural Sauk County. Frey came and talked to me, took a rough idea of what I wanted, and came back with a comprehensive design that was wonderful. They generated full plans I could take to get permits, and they got the Sauk permit for me. When they built it, the level of craftmanship , especially by the carpentry people, was really astounding - I now have a beautiful screen porch, with cedar throughout, lighting, and durable screen all around - it, and the job performed by everyone I dealt with, was way beyond my expectations. I would never go to anyone else for remodel projects.

I hired Frey to install insulation in my attic and garage following a thermal imaging that indicated my home needed attention. The crew of two young men were prompt, polite, and cleaned the work site thoroughly. I was kept informed of what extra product I could add, but they were honest and told me it was not a necessity, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend Frey. They are more expensive than other companies, but honesty and integrity is priceless.

Frey just completed installing new windows, siding and gutters on our 80 year old home. They did a fantastic job! Mike and the crew made the whole process go smoothly without a hiccup. We contacted several roofing contractors to replace our garage roof after a tree fell onto it. The majority of the roofing contractors never called us back. Frey Construction stepped up and we had an estimate in our hands within 5 days. Frey was timely in getting our project completed. The crew supervisors for both the roof and the gutters were willing to take time to engage with me and answer questions. The new roof and gutters have now experienced several very windy days and heavy rains. The owner reached out to me personally through email seeking any feedback which was appreciated.
