Frey tried to convince us to use a very expensive roofing method to control/prevent moisture problems in our roof- the second storey of our house is built into a sloping roof. We had owned the house for 8 years before undertaking remodeling, and never had any problems with the roof. But it was time to replace the shingles, and we asked that re-roofing be included in the bid. They insisted they needed to raise the roof slightly and use their unique roofing method as part of their bid to re-roofed it. It didn't matter that we had never had any problems. They did not get our bid.

I got a quote from them and also used them. First of all they returned my phone call and gave me a bid. They came, did the work and they did exactly what they said they would do at the price they said they would do it for.

The job went surprisingly well even when unexpected circumstances caused a new solution to be thought of. They were totally professional and explained to me when there was a problem.

My experience was pretty good. That woman is pretty neat, Katie her name is. I would tell other Angie List members that they seem reasonable, they seem to know what they are doing. I don't thing are outrageous, so far they are in the same kind of region that other people are. I am going to go with them because I think other people had them and liked them in this area. I will let them know if I'm not pleased.

He arrived on time. Worked all the way until he was finished. He gave me a look at the pictures he took while he was up working on the chimney. The work looks very professional and much better than it did before.

Painters were becoming reluctant to take on our home, due to recent changes in the enforcement of lead paint regulations. We never liked the look of vinyl or steel siding, but really wanted to get away from painting. We hit on cement fiber siding as a solution. It has been around for a number of years, but initial installations had some problems. The bugs have been worked out (we hope!), and the siding looks terrific - like wood in perfect condition. Fry was not the least expensive bidder, but we felt they were far more experienced and forthcoming about the history of this material. They had had their problems with it, and stopped installing it for several years. They are now confident about cement fiber and their installation methods. We had two main contacts throughout the project, the sales consultant and a crew chief who was there every day. They were very good about keeping us informed and responding to any questions. They were very good at handling unexpected 'features' as the project went along, and they were accommodating when our mind changed about some details. Dispite a few changes and glitches, the cost did not vary from the original bid. Once work started, they were at it daily through the end of the project. They cleaned up daily and in the end you could not tell there had been a major construction project. We were very happy with Fry, and after a year the siding looks great.

We worked with this company for several months creating the specifications and bids for a project to install large windows in the lower level of our home. Working with them was a real pleasure. Their quality of their estimates and advice was outstanding. They were friendly, timely, professional and fulfilled all of our expectations. Our personal interactions with company representatives was as good as anyone could want. Ultimately, we did not hire them to do the project for reasons that had nothing to do with them. Had we gone ahead with the project, we are confident they would have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend that if you are thinking about hiring a construction and remodeling firm, you talk with these folks. They are an excellent company, our experience with them was first rate, and we will be going back to them again on our next project.

Katie at Frey provided the detailed quote we requested and was timely and professional in all her interactions with us. The quote from Frey was competitve but not the lowest we received. We ended up going with another gutter contractor less for the cost difference than timing of the job, which it happens they were able on short notice to fit in on a Sunday that was very well timed between changing travel obligations I had at the time. That said, we were impressed the the quality of service we received from Katie at Frey and would invite them to provide a quote for home-related projects we may have in the future.

It went well. We were one of the first jobs they did in the 2012 season. They were well organized, kept the disruption to a minimum, cleaned up, and got the job done. We had no problems with the new roof during the past heavy snow season, even with large and menacing ice dams.

They are always one time and always pick up after themselves. I enjoy how they are clean cut and well-mannered professionals. They do an unbelievable job.

Am not going to have them do the work.

The work was completed promptly in half a day once it was scheduled. They offered 1 year interest free financing, which was one of the deciding factors over the other comparable bids we received. There is a bit more dripping from snow on the roof since the gutters are covered, but nothing unexpected. We won't know how well the gutter guards work until a fall or two have passed, but so far so good.

They performed the services adequately enough.

As soon as I purchased the gutter cleaning and roof inspection online with Angie's list, I received a call with in a few days to schedule this cleaning and inspection. The crew was very professional upon arrival, when they finished the job I was informed of what to expect as far as a report to follow. Some one from Frey Construction e-mailed my letter of inspection along with photos and also talked with me on the phone. Everything was very professional and I felt I could trust this company to do work in the future.

They patched my roof with the materials I provided and gave me a nice report on my roof and gutters. Accurate and Obvious.

Sales personnel came within two days of my initial call. I received an estimate within 2 hours the same day. The power point sales presentation was a little more than we expected. It included a history of the company with an emphasis on why Frey Construction would do a better job. I had received two other bids so I new that their price was in the ball park. They were not the low bidder. We selected them because their construction schedule would start within a couple of weeks. We had a few leaks and getting started soon was important to us. They scheduled the work into two sessions. The repair work was to be done first and then the new roof (two different areas). After a week we got a call and they said if it was alright they could start the new roof a week early. They completed the new roof in 2 days and finished the repair section few days after that.........ahead of schedule. I had to call them back because they forgot to install a roof cricket (saddle) at the chimney. They had a crew member out that day and made the fix. The workers were courteous and hard working. They definitely took pride in their work. Clean up was done each night. Plants and lawn were protected.

Prompt scheduling and arrival for inspection. Did some re-caulking and said roof was ok for another winter. Next day got email with "report" from his office, including a picture of a gutter that was missing an end cap. Nothing was said about this during his verbal report. I went outside and immediately found the "missing" end cap in the yard - which I could have done when he was still here and he could have immediately replaced it. (He had to have seen it since he took a picture of it for his report.) Why not tell me then? Now I need to pay extra for comming out to do repair. No thanks.

The roofer's workers were efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. They made sure they cleaned up each day and always answered any questions we had. To use any other company other than Frey is a stupid mistake on any home or business owner's part.

They took out the part of the old insulation in the front of the house; it all fell down and made a mess. They didn?t do much to clean it up and I had to call them back. When they were done the insulation fell down on the new soffits where the air was supposed to flow so I have to clean up the airways so the air can flow. The gutters are supposed to be covered so they don?t get clogged. Somehow a family of birds got in and made a nest, clogging it. They came back and cleaned it up and put something else on the gutter and say it won?t happen again.

I had a great experience with Frey Construction. They were pleasant over the phone and professional in person. They finished the work in one day, kept the area clean and the work looks fantastic. They even updated my gutters to accommodate extra runoff in the area being replaced so now I don't have water cascading over the rim of my gutters over my front door when it rains hard.

They did an excellent job. They came back in two years to check everything out and they found a problem that they resolved. They have a very long warranty on it.

The installers did a great job and the gutters look great. My only issue was that there was not clear communication on when they were coming. Except for the fact that I was running late for work on the day they showed up I would have missed them and I think there could have been some issues with specifics on the installation had I not been able to meet with them. Katie, the sales person that came to our house, was great and very patient with our decision process.

I would recommend them, they did a good job. They are competitive in price but you are paying for the quality, it's worth it.
