Description of Work: i answered this already. they were great. the reason it was so expensive was: there were 4 layers of shingles, they had to go down to the shakes and the house was built in 1918. the date thing won't go back far enough, it was done in april of 2004 i think.

 + -1 moreI met with the project consultant at the vacation property. He took pictures and measurements and answered all my questions about what needed to be done and what type of roof was best. He was very knowledgeable about roofing and a good source for information. He had samples with him in his truck. I was sent a proposal package that was impressive. It had all kinds of good information. The project was completed in a timely manner. The cost was reasonable. I did not need to be at the vacation property at the time of installation. Everything went very smoothly and I am very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Put a new roof on detached garage roof at vacation property in Wisconsin.

 + -1 moreThey were on time; it took 7 of them 4 days to tear off the old roofs, and put on the new one. They were friendly, polite and considerate; at the time my elderly mother dog sat and they were very nice to her as well as our dogs and cats. They took magnets and cleaned up the yard. We only found 2 nails in the driveway after all that mess so they did a very good job cleaning up. They put shingles on the house, the garage, and our little roof over the deck. They also put a rubber roof on our deck off the second floor. I think they did the roof in 2004??. Anyway it looks as good as the day they put it on. I would hire them again in a minute!!

 + -1 moreAfter a missed appointment and leaving messages I finally made contact. Once they showed up they were very professional, and knowledgeable. They did some caulking while they were on the roof inspecting and spent about an hour. I haven't received any bill and I don't know if they will charge me for their time. (This company installed the roof 10 years ago.)
Description of Work: I had a moisture problem inside the house on the outer wall and ceiling. Thought it was coming in from the roof. They sent their experts to check the problem and found that it wasn't due to the roof but rather a leaking water pipe in the walls.

 + -1 moreSolterman Roofing had an excellent presentation and promptly responded anytime I had any questions. We knew exactly what they were going to do and they did exactly that. Other companies were a bit higher priced so his price was very good. It only took a few days and the roof in some parts is very high. The work was professionally done and would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: Solterman Roofing removed old shingles and installed Oak Ridge Pro 30 asphalt shingles on our 3600 square foot home. Everything was cleaned up when they finished.
